There was a man who was completely surrendered to God. He always used to think, “God is there, God is doing everything, and thank you, God.” He always used to repeat whatever “Ram’s will be”.
Atman is Ram, but if you talk about Dashrath Ji’s son Ram, then he is in a Guru’s form. Guru is Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. The Guru is the one who makes you one with God. Whoever takes birth as a human being is not bigger than Guru, but when he does Atman darshan, he becomes God himself.
One night, that man couldn’t sleep. So he came out of his hut and started repeating, “Ram, Ram, Ram.” While he was repeating Ram Naam, a few thieves came. The thieves had a lot of stolen things with them, and they wanted to go to some other place.
They saw this man and thought, “This man is idly sitting, so let’s give him all the bags to carry for us. We would have to carry less on our backs.”
The thieves asked this man, “What are you doing?” The man replied, “Nothing, just sitting here as Ram wishes me to sit.”
Thieves told him to pick up the heavy bags and walk with them. The man said, “I was sitting because of Ram’s wish, and he wished me to walk, so I am walking. With Ram’s will, I am carrying this luggage.”
In the early morning, they reached their destination, and the thieves asked him to keep the bags down and go back to his home. He said, “With Ram’s will, I kept the bag down, and with Ram’s will, I am going back to my home.”
As the morning grew, the news came that the theft had taken place in the kingdom. The king sends his soldiers to look for the robbery.
In front of this man’s house, some jewels from the bag fell as it was full. So the king’s soldiers caught him and brought him in front of the king.
The man said, “With Ram’s will, soldiers came, and with Ram’s will, they are taking me to the king.” The man is now in front of the king. The man said, “With Ram’s will, I was brought in front of the king.” King asked, “Have you done the burglary?” The man said, “With Ram’s will, I haven’t done the burglary.”
The king said, “But we have found jewels in front of your hut.” So the man told the whole story to the king. The man said, “Because of Ram’s will, I was not able to sleep. With Ram’s will, some people came. With Ram’s will, they asked me to carry the bags for them. With the Ram’s will, they took me someplace. With Ram’s will, I kept the bags down, and with Ram’s will, I came back home. With Ram’s will, I am in front of you.”
The king asked, “Do you know the place where you kept the bags?” The man said, “It was nighttime, so I didn’t remember, but when I came back, it was morning, so with Ram’s will, I remembered the way to that place.” He saw them at the place, and all the jewels were recovered.
The people in the village started saying that this person could never be a thief, and the king also saw that this person could never be a thief.
The king said, “I am really sorry that we brought you here without it being your mistake.” The man said, “With Ram’s wish, I was brought here, and with his wish, I am going back home.”
So, this was his attitude towards life. Everything happened in his life, but he was pure at heart because he took God’s name with love. Every action was of God himself, due to which nothing happened to him.
He was dependent on the soul rather than being dependent on the body. There was no I whatsoever. It was all Ram’s will.

Someone said, “We always say to remember God every second, but today’s story shows how practically we could do that. We have to accept that whatever is happening is God’s will. When the thieves came into the story, I thought the man could have done something else, but then I thought no logic should be applied.” Teacher said, “We could discuss this point a bit. He could have done something else, but that didn’t happen. There are lots of things you don’t want to do, but because of your past deeds, you are forced to do some things. So, when you get irritated while doing something that is against your will, you suffer. But if you do it as God’s wish, do not suffer.” He asked, “We might think it is good, but actually it is not good for us.” Teacher explained, “When you are surrendered, whatever you do is good for you in a way that brings you closer to your soul. If you retaliate, you are building up your karma, and you have to face it in this life or another. So why add up to our karma?”
A girl said, “I have learned from the story that there was some work he has done, and that’s why Ram Ji woke him up. If he had chosen to sleep, he would not have been able to do what Ram Ji told him to do.” Teacher said, “He wouldn’t be able to free himself from the debts that were born in this life. He had some debts with those thieves, and he had to fulfil those debts. Very good. What beautiful feedback.”
A child said, “I learned that if you always repeat God’s name, he will always do good to you.” Teacher said, “No, nothing good happened to him. He was kept awake the whole night; he has to carry heavy luggage, and he was asserted by the soldiers. So, nothing good happened to him. This illusion that if you repeat God’s name, everything is going to be good is absolutely wrong. Nothing good or bad happens. You go beyond good and bad.”
A boy said, “I have learned everything we do is done by God. We are not doing anything.” Teacher asked, “So, if you hit somebody, is it God’s doing?” The boy said, “We hit anyone because our “I” comes.” Teacher said, “Yes, whatever we do with the “I,” it is God’s action. Very good.”
A boy said, “If we do not think of ourselves as doers, then we move ahead in that irrespective of good or bad happening to us. If we do every work as God’s works, then he will do whatever he wishes to do through this body. The work we do with God’s will is not beneficial for us; it will be for everyone, and it will be selfless work.”
भक्ति योग
एक आदमी था जो पूरी तरह से परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पित था। वह हमेशा सोचता था, “भगवान है, भगवान सब कुछ कर रहा है, और धन्यवाद, भगवान। वह हमेशा दोहराते थे कि “राम की इच्छा”।
आत्मान राम हैं, लेकिन दशरथ जी के पुत्र राम की बात करें तो वह गुरु रूप में हैं। गुरु ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश हैं। गुरु ही है जो तुम्हें ईश्वर के साथ एक बनाता है। जो भी मनुष्य के रूप में जन्म लेता है वह गुरु से बड़ा नहीं होता, लेकिन जब वह आत्मन दर्शन करता है तो वह स्वयं भगवान बन जाता है।
एक रात वह आदमी सो नहीं सका। इसलिए वह अपनी झोपड़ी से बाहर आया और दोहराने लगा, “राम, राम, राम। जब वह राम नाम दोहरा रहा था, तभी कुछ चोर आ गए। चोरों के पास चोरी की बहुत सी चीजें थीं, और वे किसी अन्य स्थान पर जाना चाहते थे।
उन्होंने इस आदमी को देखा और सोचा, “यह आदमी चुपचाप बैठा है, इसलिए चलो उसे हमारे लिए ले जाने के लिए सभी बैग दे दें। हमें अपनी पीठ पर कम उठाना होगा।
चोरों ने इस आदमी से पूछा, “तुम क्या कर रहे हो? उस आदमी ने जवाब दिया, “कुछ भी नहीं, बस यहां बैठे हुए जैसा कि राम चाहते हैं कि मैं बैठूं।
चोरों ने उसे भारी बैग उठाने और उनके साथ चलने के लिए कहा। उस आदमी ने कहा, “मैं राम की इच्छा के कारण बैठा था, और वह चाहते थे कि मैं चलूं, इसलिए मैं चल रहा हूं। राम की इच्छा से, मैं इस सामान को ले जा रहा हूं।
सुबह-सुबह, वे अपने गंतव्य पर पहुंचे, और चोरों ने उसे बैग नीचे रखने और अपने घर वापस जाने के लिए कहा। उन्होंने कहा, “राम की इच्छा से, मैंने बैग नीचे रखा, और राम की इच्छा से, मैं अपने घर वापस जा रहा हूं।
सुबह होते ही खबर आई कि राज्य में चोरी हो गई है। राजा अपने सैनिकों को डकैती की तलाश में भेजता है।
इस आदमी के घर के सामने, बैग से कुछ गहने भरे हुए थे। इसलिए राजा के सैनिक उसे पकड़कर राजा के सामने ले आए।
उस व्यक्ति ने कहा, “राम की इच्छा से सैनिक आए, और राम की इच्छा से, वे मुझे राजा के पास ले जा रहे हैं। वह आदमी अब राजा के सामने है। उस व्यक्ति ने कहा, “राम की इच्छा से, मुझे राजा के सामने लाया गया था। राजा ने पूछा, “क्या तुमने चोरी की है? उस आदमी ने कहा, “राम की इच्छा से, मैंने चोरी नहीं की है।
राजा ने कहा, “लेकिन हमें तुम्हारी झोपड़ी के सामने गहने मिले हैं। तो उस आदमी ने राजा को सारी कहानी बताई। उस आदमी ने कहा, “राम की इच्छा के कारण, मैं सो नहीं पा रहा था। राम की इच्छा से कुछ लोग आए। राम की इच्छा से, उन्होंने मुझे अपने लिए बैग ले जाने के लिए कहा। राम की इच्छा से वे मुझे कहीं ले गए। राम की इच्छा से, मैंने बैग नीचे रखे, और राम की इच्छा के साथ, मैं घर वापस आ गया। राम की इच्छा से मैं आपके सामने हूं।
राजा ने पूछा, “क्या आप उस जगह को जानते हैं जहाँ आपने बैग रखे थे? उस आदमी ने कहा, “रात का समय था, इसलिए मुझे याद नहीं था, लेकिन जब मैं वापस आया, तो सुबह थी, इसलिए राम की इच्छा से, मुझे उस जगह का रास्ता याद आया। उसने उन्हें उस स्थान पर देखा, और सभी गहने बरामद किए गए।
गाँव के लोग कहने लगे कि यह व्यक्ति कभी चोर नहीं हो सकता, और राजा ने भी देखा कि यह व्यक्ति कभी चोर नहीं हो सकता।
राजा ने कहा, “मुझे वास्तव में खेद है कि हम आपको आपकी गलती के बिना यहां ले आए। उस व्यक्ति ने कहा, “राम की इच्छा के साथ, मुझे यहां लाया गया था, और उनकी इच्छा के साथ, मैं घर वापस जा रहा हूं।
तो, जीवन के प्रति उनका यही दृष्टिकोण था। उसके जीवन में सब कुछ हुआ, लेकिन वह दिल से शुद्ध था क्योंकि उसने परमेश्वर का नाम प्यार से लिया था। हर कर्म स्वयं ईश्वर का था, जिसके कारण उसे कुछ नहीं हुआ।
वह शरीर पर निर्भर होने के बजाय आत्मा पर निर्भर था। मैं कोई नहीं था। यह सब राम की इच्छा थी।

किसी ने कहा, “यह भक्ति योग के बारे में एक सुंदर कहानी थी। लेकिन अगर मैं सच कहूं तो इस तरह की बात पर विश्वास करना मुश्किल है। जीवन में इस तरह के दृष्टिकोण रखने और भगवान के लिए सब कुछ जीने के लिए बहुत साहस की आवश्यकता होती है। अब तक मैं ऐसा नहीं बना हूं, लेकिन यहां आकर मैं चीजों को लेकर प्रेरित हुआ हूं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “आपकी प्रेरणा हमेशा ऐसी ही रहे।
किसी ने कहा, “हम हमेशा हर सेकंड भगवान को याद करने के लिए कहते हैं, लेकिन आज की कहानी से पता चलता है कि व्यावहारिक रूप से हम ऐसा कैसे कर सकते हैं। हमें स्वीकार करना होगा कि जो कुछ भी हो रहा है वह भगवान की इच्छा है। जब चोर कहानी में आए, तो मुझे लगा कि आदमी कुछ और कर सकता है, लेकिन फिर मैंने सोचा कि कोई तर्क लागू नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। शिक्षक ने कहा, “हम इस बिंदु पर थोड़ी चर्चा कर सकते थे। वह कुछ और भी कर सकते थे, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हुआ। बहुत सी चीजें हैं जो आप नहीं करना चाहते हैं, लेकिन आपके पिछले कर्मों के कारण, आपको कुछ चीजें करने के लिए मजबूर किया जाता है। इसलिए, जब आप कुछ ऐसा करते समय चिढ़ जाते हैं जो आपकी इच्छा के खिलाफ है, तो आप पीड़ित होते हैं। लेकिन अगर आप इसे भगवान की इच्छा के रूप में करते हैं, तो पीड़ित न हों। उन्होंने पूछा, “हम सोच सकते हैं कि यह अच्छा है, लेकिन वास्तव में यह हमारे लिए अच्छा नहीं है। शिक्षक ने समझाया, “जब आप आत्मसमर्पण कर देते हैं, तो आप जो कुछ भी करते हैं वह आपके लिए इस तरह से अच्छा होता है जो आपको अपनी आत्मा के करीब लाता है। यदि आप प्रतिकार करते हैं, तो आप अपने कर्म का निर्माण कर रहे हैं, और आपको इस जीवन या किसी अन्य में इसका सामना करना होगा। तो हमारे कर्मों को क्यों जोड़ा जाए?”
एक लड़की ने कहा, “मैंने कहानी से सीखा है कि उन्होंने कुछ काम किया है, और इसीलिए राम जी ने उन्हें जगाया। अगर उन्होंने सोने का विकल्प चुना होता, तो वह वह नहीं कर पाते जो राम जी ने उन्हें करने के लिए कहा था। शिक्षक ने कहा, “वह खुद को उन ऋणों से मुक्त नहीं कर पाएगा जो इस जीवन में पैदा हुए थे। उन चोरों के साथ उनका कुछ कर्ज था, और उन्हें उन ऋणों को पूरा करना था। बहुत अच्छा। क्या सुंदर प्रतिक्रिया है।
एक बच्चे ने कहा, “मैंने सीखा कि यदि आप हमेशा भगवान का नाम दोहराते हैं, तो वह हमेशा आपके लिए अच्छा करेगा। शिक्षक ने कहा, “नहीं, उसके साथ कुछ भी अच्छा नहीं हुआ। उसे पूरी रात जगाए रखा गया; उसे भारी सामान ले जाना पड़ता है, और उसे सैनिकों द्वारा दावा किया गया था। इसलिए, उसके साथ कुछ भी अच्छा नहीं हुआ। यह भ्रम कि यदि आप परमेश्वर का नाम दोहराते हैं, तो सब कुछ अच्छा होने वाला है, बिल्कुल गलत है। कुछ भी अच्छा या बुरा नहीं होता है। आप अच्छे और बुरे से परे जाते हैं।

एक लड़के ने कहा, “अगर हम खुद को कर्ता नहीं समझते हैं, तो हम उस में आगे बढ़ते हैं, भले ही हमारे साथ अच्छा या बुरा हो। यदि हम हर कार्य को ईश्वर के कार्यों के रूप में करेंगे तो वह इस शरीर के माध्यम से जो चाहे करेगा। जो कार्य हम परमेश् वर की इच्छा से करते हैं वह हमारे लिए लाभदायक नहीं है; यह सभी के लिए होगा, और यह निस्वार्थ काम होगा।
