Shri Krishna and Arjun were in a jungle, and Shri Krishna was praising Karna. Shri Krishna was saying, “Karna is the greatest charitable human being on the planet. No one before him has come, and no one after him will come like him again. The greatest giver Karna.” Arjun kept on listening to the praises of Karna from Shri Krishna.
Though Arjun was with his guru, Shri Krishna, he still got tangled in Mahamaya. Now see the action of Mahamaya. Arjun felt slightly jealous of Karna. He thought, “Why is Shri Krishna praising Karna when I am also a big charity giver?” He objected and said to Shri Krishna, “No, I am better than Karna.” Shri Krishna just casually said, “Let us see.” Arjun instead wished to prove himself better than Karna. Shri Krishna ignores it with a smile on his face, but Arjun asks again and again for a chance to prove himself. Arjun said, “You take a test of me and Karna. I will prove myself.” Shri Krishna agreed.
Now see how Mahamaya works here. Shri Krishna made a big hill of gold. Shri Krishna asked Arjun to climb up the gold hill and tell me what he could see. Arjun climbed up and said, “I could see villages around.” Shri Krishna said, “Call everybody from those villages and donate this hill of gold.” The thought that Arjun has is, “I have not kept a single piece of gold with me. I am donating all of it.” The fact is, the gold didn’t belong to Arjun; Shri Krishna gave it to him, and he is just distributing it. Arjun was just a distributor, but the thought he had was, “I am distributing it.”
Arjun called everyone from those villages and asked them to come and take the gold. Everyone came, and he started giving Gold with his hands. Everyone started praising Arjun: “Hail Arjun, Hail Arjun.” Shri Krishna is hiding from that scene as usual. Arjun distributed all the gold and became very happy, and he said to Shri Krishna, “Hey Keshav, see, I am the biggest giver. I gave the complete hill of gold to everyone.”
The gold was given by Shri Krishna; Arjun distributed it, and Arjun became famous. Arjun thinks he is a Dani. Shri Krishna said, Yes, you are. You haven’t kept a single piece of gold for yourself. Now let’s take the test of Karna.”
Shri Krishna called Karna to come to some other place and again create a hill of gold. Shri Krishna asked Karna to distribute the gold to the villagers. Arjun and Shri Krishna hid themselves somewhere. Karna announced to everyone that they should come and take the gold. After announcing this, he left that place. Everyone who came there took the old from the hill. Karna just did what Shri Krishna told him to do. No one knew who asked them to take the gold.
Now Shri Krishna asked Arjun, “Tell me, Arjun, whether you are a bigger given or Karna?” Arjun understood his mistake. He understood that gold was given by Shri Krishna, but he took all the praise. But in the case of Karna, he knew it was not his gold; he just came to obey Shri Krishna’s wish, did what he was asked to do, and left. Karna didn’t wait for everyone to praise him.
This is who a charitable person should be. Your right hand should not know when you donate with your left.

Do not complain about anything. Geeta is said for all of us by Shri Krishna. We are all Arjun. Even after taking God’s name and living with you, I get stuck in Mahamaya, and I don’t know why.”
Someone said, “It was a beautiful session. The key message from the story was that we should not think whatever we are giving belongs to us. Everything belongs to God, including the place we are staying, and the clothes we are wearing all belong to God.” Teacher said, “Even this body and mind belong to God. Everything is God, and there is no place where He doesn’t exist. Even in every droplet of my blood, that energy exists. If the blood, body, mind, and soul are God himself, then who am I?” He asked, “I have a small question. If there is a difference between jealousy and competition,” Teacher answered, “If I do well, you feel bad; if I suffer, you feel good; that is jealousy. Competition means you do what you are doing, but I am trying to do better. Jealousy and competition will both ruin you. If you wish to compete, then compete with yourself. Try to become a better version of yourself every day. Why am I comparing myself to others? Someone getting happy or sad about some other person’s progress is competition, but jealousy makes me very happy when that person falls down.”
A girl said, “Does our charity get nullified if we advertise about it?” Teacher said, “If you give something, everyone will praise you here, like when everyone praised Arjun, his ego grew and he felt good, so his distance from Shri Krishna increased. Even after giving Arjun, he still had jealousy in him. If we see Karna, he didn’t take any praise, so he was where he was before, and even today, Karna is known as Danveer Karna, and Arjun is not called Danveer. Karna is the only one whose last ritual was done on Shri Krishna’s hand. See the value of Karna; even though Arjun was with Shri Krishna all the time and Karna was on the opposite team, the value of Maa Kunti was that he only had love. He had given his words to Duryodhana, so he had to support him, but Karna always tried to show Duryodhana the right path. So, becoming like Karna is a very important way to be far away from name and fame. When you did something and told everyone about it, you will be praised here, which means you got the benefit of it here, but you will not become one with God.”
Someone said, “I have learned two things from today’s story. First, everything is dependent on our mind; even after living with God, if our mind is not correct, we can think of anything. We could meditate, go to the temple, or do anything else, but if we do not think right in our minds, then nothing is of use. Second, when Arjun was giving gold, he was not donating gold; we were feeding his praises. Sometimes we get attached to the good feeling we get after giving to charity. To overcome that feeling, we have always remembered that whatever I am giving is not mine; it is God’s. When we remember this, we will not get attached to that feeling of happiness.” Teacher said, “Good.”
Teacher shared a short story: “There is a man who earns only ten rupees a day. His guruji asked him to come and do his seva for half a day. So he works only for half a day and earns only five rupees. Guru Ji has many students who are earning crores and donating lakhs a month. They think Guruji’s every need is fulfilled by their money. Let me know who is giving his time equal to half of his daily income and sometimes giving his whole day when Guru ji needs him, or who is giving one lakh from their earning of crores. Of course, the one who is doing seva without thinking about what he is giving So, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, do it with the thought that you are doing the seva of Guru ji. Everyone’s action of yours is seva only, and do not worry about the benefits.”
दानवीर कर्ण
श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन एक जंगल में थे, और श्रीकृष्ण कर्ण की स्तुति कर रहे थे। श्रीकृष्ण कह रहे थे, “कर्ण ग्रह का सबसे बड़ा धर्मार्थ मनुष्य है। उससे पहले कोई नहीं आया है, और उसके बाद कोई फिर उसके जैसा नहीं आएगा। सबसे बड़ा दाता कर्ण। अर्जुन श्रीकृष्ण से कर्ण का गुणगान सुनते रहे।

सोना श्री कृष्ण द्वारा दिया गया था; अर्जुन ने इसे वितरित किया, और अर्जुन प्रसिद्ध हो गया। अर्जुन सोचता है कि वह दानी है। श्रीकृष्ण ने कहा हां, तुम हो। आपने अपने लिए सोने का एक टुकड़ा भी नहीं रखा है। अब कर्ण की परीक्षा लेते हैं।
श्रीकृष्ण ने कर्ण को किसी अन्य स्थान पर आकर पुन: सोने की पहाड़ी बनाने के लिए बुलाया। श्रीकृष्ण ने कर्ण से सोना गांव वालों में बांटने को कहा। अर्जुन और श्रीकृष्ण ने खुद को कहीं छिपा लिया। कर्ण ने सभी से घोषणा की कि वे आकर सोना ले जाएं। इसकी घोषणा करने के बाद वह उस जगह से चले गए। वहां आने वाला हर कोई बूढ़े को पहाड़ी से ले गया। कर्ण ने बस वही किया जो श्रीकृष्ण ने उसे करने के लिए कहा था। किसी को नहीं पता था कि उन्हें सोना लेने के लिए किसने कहा।
अब श्रीकृष्ण ने अर्जुन से पूछा, “मुझे बताओ अर्जुन, तुम बड़े दीदार हो या कर्ण? अर्जुन को अपनी गलती समझ में आ गई। वह समझ गया कि सोना श्रीकृष्ण ने दिया है, लेकिन उसने सारी प्रशंसा ले ली। लेकिन कर्ण के मामले में, वह जानता था कि यह उसका सोना नहीं था; वह बस श्रीकृष्ण की इच्छा मानने आया था, जो करने को कहा गया था वही किया और चला गया। कर्ण ने इंतजार नहीं किया कि हर कोई उसकी प्रशंसा करे।
यह वह है जो एक धर्मार्थ व्यक्ति होना चाहिए। आपके दाहिने हाथ को पता नहीं होना चाहिए कि आप अपने बाएं से कब दान करते हैं।

एक लड़की ने कहा, “अगर हम इसके बारे में विज्ञापन करते हैं तो क्या हमारा दान शून्य हो जाता है? शिक्षक ने कहा, “अगर तुम कुछ दोगे तो यहाँ सब तुम्हारी प्रशंसा करेंगे, जैसे जब सब ने अर्जुन की प्रशंसा की तो उसका अहंकार बढ़ गया और उसे अच्छा लगने लगा, इसलिए श्रीकृष्ण से उसकी दूरी बढ़ गई। अर्जुन को देने के बाद भी उसके अंदर ईर्ष्या थी। यदि हम कर्ण को देखें, तो उसने कोई प्रशंसा नहीं की, इसलिए वह जहां था वहीं था, और आज भी, कर्ण को दानवीर कर्ण के नाम से जाना जाता है, और अर्जुन को दानवीर नहीं कहा जाता है। कर्ण ही एक ऐसे व्यक्ति हैं जिनका अंतिम अनुष्ठान श्रीकृष्ण के हाथ पर किया गया था। कर्ण का मूल्य देखो; भले ही अर्जुन हर समय श्रीकृष्ण के साथ थे और कर्ण विपरीत पक्ष में थे, लेकिन मां कुंती का मूल्य यह था कि उनमें केवल प्रेम था। उसने अपनी बातें दुर्योधन को दे दी थी, इसलिए उसे उसका साथ देना था, लेकिन कर्ण ने हमेशा दुर्योधन को सही रास्ता दिखाने की कोशिश की। इसलिए, कर्ण की तरह बनना नाम और प्रसिद्धि से दूर रहने का एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण तरीका है। जब आपने कुछ किया और इसके बारे में सभी को बताया, तो यहां आपकी प्रशंसा की जाएगी, जिसका अर्थ है कि आपको यहां इसका लाभ मिला, लेकिन आप भगवान के साथ एक नहीं होंगे।

शिक्षक ने एक छोटी सी कहानी साझा की: “एक आदमी है जो एक दिन में केवल दस रुपये कमाता है। उनके गुरुजी ने उन्हें आने और आधे दिन के लिए अपनी सेवा करने के लिए कहा। इसलिए वह केवल आधे दिन काम करते हैं और केवल पांच रुपये कमाते हैं। गुरु जी के पास कई छात्र हैं जो करोड़ों कमा रहे हैं और महीने में लाखों दान कर रहे हैं। उन्हें लगता है कि गुरुजी की हर जरूरत उनके पैसे से पूरी होती है। आइए जानते हैं कि कौन अपनी दैनिक आय के आधे के बराबर अपना समय दे रहा है और कभी-कभी गुरु जी को जरूरत पड़ने पर अपना पूरा दिन दे रहा है, या कौन अपनी करोड़ों की कमाई में से एक लाख दे रहा है। बेशक, जो यह सोचे बिना सेवा कर रहा है कि वह क्या दे रहा है, इसलिए आप जहां भी हैं और जो भी कर रहे हैं, इस सोच के साथ करें कि आप गुरु जी की सेवा कर रहे हैं। हर किसी का कार्य केवल सेवा है, और लाभ के बारे में चिंता न करें।
