In a village, villagers thought of constructing a Mandir in their village. They discussed and agreed to construct the mandir, and they gave the responsibility of collecting donations to a religious and honest man. The collection of money started. The person assigned used to sit in a designated place and collect the money from morning until evening. After collecting the donation, he used to hand everyone the receipt of their donation.
Some people had to give more and some less, as per their earnings. The donation process kept going for a month. A farmer was there who was very pious and completely dependent on God. He was poor, and whatever he earned daily was used to take care of his family. Still, he collected some money from his daily wages to donate to the mandir’s construction. He collected fifty rupees for all his hard work at the end of the month.
He went early in the morning to donate that money to the person who was collecting the fund. When he reached there, he saw many rich people donating a lot of money. So he thought about his donation and went back. He went to give the donation throughout the day at various times, thinking that if no one was there, he would give the money. But every time he went, he saw people donating big chunks of money. In the evening, when the money collector was about to leave for his home, the farmer reached there. He joined his hands and took out fifty rupees from his pocket, gave it to that person, and asked him to accept his donation.
Something happened to the person; she looked at the farmer from top to bottom and didn’t value his fifty rupees. The farmer said, “Please take it. I only have this much money.” Listening to the farmer plead, he took the money but didn’t give him the receipt for the donation. The farmer became happy that he was able to offer something.
The collection was completed, so now construction has started on the Mandir. In the mandir, Radha Krishna Ji’s idol is placed. The sculptor created a very beautiful idol of Radha Ji and Shri Krishna. The day came when the soul was about to be consecrated to the idol by reciting mantras. Before that, the idol was kept hidden behind the curtains. As soon as Pandit Ji tried to keep the crown on Shri Krishna Ji’s head, the crown kept falling down. Everyone becomes worried that Shri Krishna Ji is not ready to accept our prayers. An old man standing there said, “Ask the sculptor to come; he will fix the problem.”
The sculptor was called, and after checking, he said, “It will cost fifty rupees to fix this.” Now Pandaji put his hand in his pocket, and fifty rupees came out. These fifty rupees were donated by the farmer, for which Pandaj Ji has not given a receipt. The sculptor fixed the crown, and the smiling faces of Shri Krishna and Radha Ji’s idols were revealed. Everyone was very pleased and happy.
The next day, Pandit Ji was tallying his account as he had to provide details of where the money was spent. He checked everything but was not able to find out where that fifty rupees came from as he didn’t give the receipt for it. He suddenly remembered that this was given by the farmer, so he ran to see him. He called the farmer and said, “I am extremely sorry.” The pandit ji bowed down in front of the farmer and said, “Please forgive me. Because of your fifty rupees, Shri Krishna accepted our prayer. I ask forgiveness from you for my behaviour. It is never about the amount; it is always about the intention behind the donation. God accepts the donation done with good intention.”

It doesn’t matter what or how much you’re giving; what matters is your intention and the Bhav behind it.” Teacher said, Why is giving charity important? The important thing is whether you are giving it from your heart or not. When you feel like giving meaning, your mind wants to give, so you give your mind as well with that. If you are thinking about saving money for yourself before giving, that is logical. If you apply logic, you are giving from the heart. Whatever we have with us, we think it is ours, but it is just temporarily with us; in reality, everything belongs to God. The mind says that it is yours. The giver is only God, and when you feel like giving, you slowly become closer to God. That is why charity is so important. Until you start giving, it is not possible to feel the bliss. You will always be a sufferer. As you start giving, the “I” starts to end, and you start feeling the bliss.”
Someone said, “Sometimes we become famous because of our good works, like Pandit Ji in the story, but because of this Satogun, we become egoistic.” Teacher said, “Very good. To share this point, I have told this story. Everyone was donating and helping, but the ego of Satogun was going where it would go. Because of that, Satogun Pandit Ji’s prayer was not accepted by God. You have to become Trigunatit. Satogun also becomes a hurdle to becoming one with God. You have to be free from any kind of ego.” He said, “Pandit Ji didn’t give importance to the charity the farmer gave. But Pandit Ji must have had good Karma because of which God made him realise his mistake, and he asked forgiveness from the farmer.”
A lady said, “The farmer was shy to give the fifty rupees because he thought it was a very small amount. We should not think about how much we are giving; we should give with our whole hearts whatever we could give.” Teacher said, “Amount is not important; your Bhav is important. The Bhav with which you are giving whatever you have is important. God accepts the Bhav. We have a saying, ‘Bhagwan Bhav ka Bhuka hain’. The money belongs to God alone. So, what does God want? He wants our love.”
Teacher asked someone a question: “If someone comes and asks me to give a donation for building a temple, then should I give him the money or not? In the story, donations were given to build the temple, but I have always asked people not to give donations to temples. It means I am contradicting what I said before.” She replied, “If the temple was away for them to get closer to God and they have this Bhav in them, then it is correct.” Teacher said, “Everyone has the same Bhav when they make a mandir, Masjid, or Gurudwara to become close to God.” She replied, “Once we give the donation, it is not up to us how the money is utilised.” Teacher said, “Let’s see from another example. A person came to me who was very hungry and about to die. Due to some reason, he has not been able to earn money for the last few days. Another is to ask for charity for Ganesh pooja. To whom you hand will give charity.” She answered, “To the person who is hungry.” Teacher again asked, “You will give the entire money to the person who is hungry or give some to charity and some to that person.” She said, “Complete money, I will give to the person who is hungry.” Teacher said, “Yes, until you cannot see ‘Nar me Narayan’ God in human beings, then you will never be able to see God in the temple. Here, the importance of life You will consecrate the soul to the idol, but God has consecrated us to this body, so which one is more important? God himself has made this body; he resides in it in the form of a soul. Whenever you apply logic, you see your benefit, which will take you towards name and fame. The name and fame will make you suffer. It is ok to give some to those as well, but give only 0.01% to them and the remaining to the one who is actually in need. Give for forestation and Gau seva. Today, so many cows are dying on the road, and we don’t even think about it. But remember Shri Krishna Ji and offer him milk, butter, and ghee. We did pooja for Nandi Ji in the mandir, but when Nandi died on the road, nobody cared. This Bhav is wrong. Our Bhav should be that I am born to do seva. People ask me, If everything is in God’s hands, then why can’t he stop forests from getting cut? You do what you are supposed to do. It is your choice to help or ignore. Everything has been done for you to become one with God.”
A boy said, “As you always say, ‘The one who takes is always bigger than the one who gives’. I don’t know why we do business with God. We take God’s things and give them back to him, thinking we are bigger. We should not do this. Nothing is ours. Nor the things we are giving or the things we are taking. We are just a connection in the middle to become one with God.” Teacher said, “Good.”
दान के पीछे की मंशा मायने रखती है

कुछ लोगों को अपनी कमाई के अनुसार अधिक और कुछ को कम देना पड़ा। दान की प्रक्रिया एक महीने तक चलती रही। एक किसान था जो बहुत पवित्र था और पूरी तरह से भगवान पर निर्भर था। वह गरीब था, और वह जो कुछ भी दैनिक कमाता था उसका उपयोग अपने परिवार की देखभाल के लिए करता था। फिर भी, उन्होंने मंदिर के निर्माण में दान करने के लिए अपनी दैनिक मजदूरी से कुछ पैसे एकत्र किए। उसने महीने के अंत में अपनी सारी मेहनत के लिए पचास रुपये एकत्र किए।
वह सुबह-सुबह उस पैसे को उस व्यक्ति को दान करने के लिए गए जो फंड इकट्ठा कर रहा था। जब वह वहां पहुंचे, तो उन्होंने कई अमीर लोगों को बहुत सारे पैसे दान करते देखा। इसलिए उन्होंने अपने दान के बारे में सोचा और वापस चले गए। वह दिन भर में अलग-अलग समय पर दान देने गया, यह सोचकर कि अगर कोई नहीं होगा, तो वह पैसे दे देगा। लेकिन हर बार जब वह जाते थे, तो उन्होंने लोगों को पैसे का बड़ा हिस्सा दान करते हुए देखा। शाम को जब पैसा इकट्ठा करने वाला अपने घर के लिए निकलने वाला था, तभी किसान वहां पहुंच गया। उसने हाथ जोड़कर अपनी जेब से पचास रुपये निकाले, उस व्यक्ति को दे दिए, और उससे अपना दान स्वीकार करने के लिए कहा।
उस व्यक्ति को कुछ हुआ; उसने किसान को ऊपर से नीचे तक देखा और उसके पचास रुपये का मूल्य नहीं लगाया। किसान ने कहा, “कृपया इसे ले लो। मेरे पास केवल इतना पैसा है। किसान की गुहार सुनकर, उसने पैसे ले लिए, लेकिन उसे दान की रसीद नहीं दी। किसान खुश हो गया कि वह कुछ पेशकश करने में सक्षम था।
संग्रह पूरा हो गया था, इसलिए अब मंदिर पर निर्माण शुरू हो गया है। मंदिर में राधा कृष्ण जी की मूर्ति रखी हुई है। मूर्तिकार ने राधा जी और श्री कृष्ण की एक बहुत ही सुंदर मूर्ति बनाई। वह दिन आ गया जब मंत्रों का उच्चारण करके आत्मा को मूर्ति की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा की जाने वाली थी। इससे पहले मूर्ति को पर्दे के पीछे छिपाकर रखा गया था। पंडित जी ने जैसे ही श्रीकृष्ण जी के सिर पर मुकुट रखने की कोशिश की तो मुकुट नीचे गिरता चला गया। हर कोई चिंतित हो जाता है कि श्री कृष्ण जी हमारी प्रार्थना स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं। वहां खड़े एक बूढ़े आदमी ने कहा, “मूर्तिकार को आने के लिए कहो; वह समस्या को ठीक कर देंगे।
मूर्तिकार को बुलाया गया, और जांच करने के बाद, उसने कहा, “इसे ठीक करने में पचास रुपये खर्च होंगे। अब पंडाजी ने अपनी जेब में हाथ डाला, और पचास रुपये निकले। ये पचास रुपये किसान ने दान में दिए थे, जिसकी रसीद पंबाज जी ने नहीं दी है। मूर्तिकार ने मुकुट को ठीक किया, और श्री कृष्ण और राधा जी की मूर्तियों के मुस्कुराते चेहरे सामने आए। हर कोई बहुत खुश और खुश था।
अगले दिन, पंडित जी अपने खाते का मिलान कर रहे थे क्योंकि उन्हें विवरण प्रदान करना था कि पैसा कहां खर्च किया गया था। उन्होंने सब कुछ चेक किया लेकिन यह पता नहीं लगा पाए कि वह पचास रुपये कहां से आए क्योंकि उन्होंने इसकी रसीद नहीं दी थी। उसे अचानक याद आया कि यह किसान ने दिया है, तो वह उसे देखने के लिए दौड़ा। उन्होंने किसान को बुलाया और कहा, “मुझे बहुत खेद है। पंडित जी ने किसान के सामने झुककर कहा, “कृपया मुझे क्षमा करें। आपके पचास रुपये की वजह से श्रीकृष्ण ने हमारी प्रार्थना स्वीकार कर ली। मैं अपने व्यवहार के लिए आपसे क्षमा मांगता हूं। यह कभी भी राशि के बारे में नहीं है; यह हमेशा दान के पीछे के इरादे के बारे में है। भगवान अच्छे इरादे से किए गए दान को स्वीकार करते हैं।

एक महिला ने कहा, “पहले, मुझे दान करने के बारे में कुछ भी नहीं पता था। यहां आने के बाद से ही मैंने देने के बारे में सीखा है। इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आप क्या या कितना दे रहे हैं; जो मायने रखता है वह है आपका इरादा और इसके पीछे का भाव। शिक्षक ने कहा, दान देना क्यों जरूरी है? यह महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि परमेश्वर आपके दान को स्वीकार करता है, और फिर आपके पास उसके साथ घनिष्ठ संबंध हैं। जब आप कुछ भी देते हैं, तो आप अपना दिमाग भी देते हैं। महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि आप इसे अपने दिल से दे रहे हैं या नहीं। जब आपको अर्थ देने का मन करता है, तो आपका मन देना चाहता है, इसलिए आप उसी के साथ अपना मन भी देते हैं। इस तरह आप भगवान के करीब हो जाते हैं। दान देते समय हमारे सामने सबसे बड़ी समस्या यह होती है कि हमारा मन उसे देना नहीं चाहता। यदि आप देने से पहले अपने लिए पैसे बचाने के बारे में सोच रहे हैं, तो यह तर्कसंगत है। यदि आप तर्क लागू करते हैं, तो आप दिल से दे रहे हैं। हमारे पास जो कुछ भी है, हमें लगता है कि यह हमारा है, लेकिन यह सिर्फ अस्थायी रूप से हमारे साथ है; वास्तव में, सब कुछ परमेश्वर का है। मन कहता है कि यह तुम्हारा है। देने वाला केवल परमेश्वर है, और जब आपको देने का मन करता है, तो आप धीरे-धीरे परमेश्वर के करीब हो जाते हैं। यही कारण है कि दान इतना महत्वपूर्ण है। जब तक आप देना शुरू नहीं करते, तब तक आनंद को महसूस करना संभव नहीं है। आप हमेशा पीड़ित रहेंगे। जैसे ही आप देना शुरू करते हैं, “मैं” समाप्त होने लगता है, और आप आनंद महसूस करना शुरू कर देते हैं।
किसी ने कहा, “कभी-कभी हम अपने अच्छे कामों की वजह से प्रसिद्ध हो जाते हैं, जैसे कहानी में पंडित जी, लेकिन इस सतोगुण के कारण हम अहंकारी हो जाते हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “बहुत अच्छा। इस बात को साझा करने के लिए, मैंने यह कहानी बताई है। हर कोई दान कर रहा था और मदद कर रहा था, लेकिन सतोगुन का अहंकार जा रहा था कि वह कहां जाएगा। इस वजह से सतोगुण पंडित जी की प्रार्थना भगवान ने स्वीकार नहीं की। तुमको त्रिगुणित बनना है। सतोगुन भी भगवान के साथ एक होने के लिए एक बाधा बन जाता है। आपको किसी भी प्रकार के अहंकार से मुक्त होना होगा। उन्होंने कहा, “पंडित जी ने किसान द्वारा दिए गए दान को महत्व नहीं दिया। लेकिन पंडित जी के अच्छे कर्म रहे होंगे जिसके कारण भगवान ने उन्हें अपनी गलती का एहसास कराया, और उन्होंने किसान से माफी मांगी।
एक महिला ने कहा, “किसान पचास रुपये देने में शर्माता था क्योंकि उसे लगता था कि यह बहुत छोटी राशि है। हमें यह नहीं सोचना चाहिए कि हम कितना दे रहे हैं; हमें अपने पूरे दिल से वह सब देना चाहिए जो हम दे सकते हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “राशि महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है; आपका भाव महत्वपूर्ण है। जिस भाव के साथ आप जो कुछ भी दे रहे हैं, वह महत्वपूर्ण है। ईश्वर भाव को स्वीकार करते हैं। हमारे पास एक कहावत है, ‘भगवान भाव का भूका है’। पैसा केवल भगवान का है। परमेश्वर क्या चाहता है? वह हमारा प्यार चाहता है।
शिक्षक ने किसी से एक सवाल पूछा: “अगर कोई आता है और मुझसे मंदिर बनाने के लिए दान देने के लिए कहता है, तो क्या मुझे उसे पैसे देने चाहिए या नहीं? कहानी में मंदिर बनाने के लिए दान दिया गया था, लेकिन मैंने हमेशा लोगों से मंदिरों को दान न देने के लिए कहा है। इसका मतलब है कि मैंने पहले जो कहा था, मैं उसका खंडन कर रहा हूं। उसने जवाब दिया, “अगर उनके लिए भगवान के करीब जाने के लिए मंदिर दूर था और उनमें यह भाव है, तो यह सही है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “भगवान के करीब बनने के लिए मंदिर, मस्जिद या गुरुद्वारा बनाने पर हर किसी का एक ही भाव होता है। उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “एक बार जब हम दान देते हैं, तो यह हमारे ऊपर नहीं है कि पैसे का उपयोग कैसे किया जाता है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “चलो एक और उदाहरण से देखते हैं। एक व्यक्ति मेरे पास आया जो बहुत भूखा था और मरने वाला था। किसी वजह से वह पिछले कुछ दिनों से पैसे नहीं कमा पा रहे हैं। दूसरा है गणेश पूजा के लिए दान मांगना। जिसे तुम दान दोगे, वह दान देगा। उसने जवाब दिया, “उस व्यक्ति को जो भूखा है। शिक्षक ने फिर पूछा, “आप पूरे पैसे उस व्यक्ति को देंगे जो भूखा है या कुछ दान में देगा और कुछ उस व्यक्ति को। उसने कहा, “पूरा पैसा, मैं उस व्यक्ति को दे दूँगा जो भूखा है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “हां, जब तक तुम मनुष्यों में ‘नर मी नारायण’ भगवान के दर्शन नहीं कर सकते, तब तक तुम कभी भी मंदिर में भगवान के दर्शन नहीं कर पाओगे। यहां, जीवन का महत्व आप आत्मा को मूर्ति से पवित्र करेंगे, लेकिन भगवान ने हमें इस शरीर में पवित्र किया है, तो कौन सा अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है? स्वयं ईश्वर ने इस शरीर को बनाया है। वह उसमें आत्मा के रूप में निवास करता है। जब भी आप तर्क लागू करते हैं, तो आपको अपना लाभ दिखाई देता है, जो आपको नाम और प्रसिद्धि की ओर ले जाएगा। नाम और प्रसिद्धि आपको कष्ट देगी। उनमें से कुछ को भी देना ठीक है, लेकिन उन्हें केवल 0.01% दें और शेष उस व्यक्ति को दें जो वास्तव में जरूरतमंद है। वनीकरण और गौ सेवा के लिए दें। आज, इतनी सारी गायें सड़क पर मर रही हैं, और हम इसके बारे में सोचते भी नहीं हैं। लेकिन श्री कृष्ण जी का स्मरण करें और उन्हें दूध, मक्खन और घी अर्पित करें। हमने मंदिर में नंदी जी के लिए पूजा की, लेकिन जब नंदी की सड़क पर मृत्यु हो गई, तो किसी ने परवाह नहीं की। यह भाव गलत है। हमारा भाव यह होना चाहिए कि मैं सेवा करने के लिए पैदा हुआ हूं। लोग मुझसे पूछते हैं, अगर सब कुछ भगवान के हाथ में है, तो वह जंगलों को कटने से क्यों नहीं रोक सकते? आप वही करते हैं जो आपको करना चाहिए। मदद करना या अनदेखा करना आपकी पसंद है। परमेश्वर के साथ एक होने के लिए सब कुछ किया गया है।
एक लड़के ने कहा, “जैसा कि आप हमेशा कहते हैं, ‘जो लेता है वह हमेशा देने वाले से बड़ा होता है’। मुझे नहीं पता कि हम भगवान के साथ व्यापार क्यों करते हैं। हम परमेश्वर की चीज़ें लेते हैं और उन्हें वापस दे देते हैं और हमें लगता है कि हम बड़े हैं। हमें ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए। हमारा कुछ भी नहीं है। न ही वे चीजें जो हम दे रहे हैं या जो चीजें हम ले रहे हैं। हम भगवान के साथ एक होने के लिए बीच में सिर्फ एक कनेक्शन हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “बहुत अच्छा।“
