When we start surrendering, we start doing what is being taught. As we keep on practicing, our desires are becoming less.” Teacher said, “How do you do the seva of your Guru? Some people say to go massage Guru’s feet, but that is not Guru seva. Guruseva can only be done through obedience. Surrender means how obedient you are. You listen to what the Guru is teaching you, but do you practice it? If you are obedient and doing what is being taught, then you are doing Guru Seva. Guru is preparing you like him, which means he is making you Guru. To become a guru, whatever is required is being taught to you daily. Multiple different ways are being told to you. You should pick whichever is suitable and do guru seva wherever you are by being obedient to your guru. The Guru tells you to speak the truth, be honest, wake up early, sleep early, eat only what is required for the body, talk less, and interact less with the world. The less you interact with the world, the more you will be in bliss. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, do it with complete honesty.”
A lady said, “If our desires keep on growing, then our actual life goal cannot be reached.” Teacher said, “You tell me one thing: you are a mother, a wife, and a daughter, and you have multiple responsibilities to fulfill.” By the time you wake up, you start working on your responsibilities. If you think it could look like selfishness, you are doing only your work, but why is it not selfishness? The important thing is what your mind is focused on. How is the Sarathi of your mind important? If Shri Krishna or Radha Ji are there, then there is no problem. If your mind is focused on God and not on materialistic things, then no problem arises. If your mind is focused on materialism and you think, Let’s do window shopping or eat outside for once, then those desires only keep growing. Due to those desires, your suffering will grow. But you are working for your family, and your responsibilities are not selfish because your mind, Sarathi, is God. Selfishness will come when you do something for your own happiness. People say my kids are small; I have a lot of responsibilities, but you died. Will you be able to do anything? If God is taking care of all your responsibilities, then why don’t you make God the Rathi of your mind? When you live only for your family and kids, then it is selfishness. When you live only for God and fulfil all your responsibilities, you are not selfish.”
A boy said, “I have learned that Hanuman Ji never said I was the doer. He just does whatever he is asked to do. You do whatever God wants you to do. Some of our desires get fulfilled, and some are not. God fulfil those that are your need and not those that you are asking out of greed. As it is your desire, you keep on asking for it from God, and one day God gives you that, but then you only suffer because it was not meant for you. So I have understood that we should not ask anything from God other than for him to make us one with him. What you can do is do whatever is being said to you.” Teacher said, “Beautiful.”

और मनोरथ जो कोई लावे, सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावे – यदि आप भगवान को अपने मन का सारथी बना लें तो कोई समस्या नहीं है। लेकिन अगर आपका मन भौतिकवादी दुनिया पर अधिक केंद्रित है तो आपकी इच्छाएँ होंगी। जो इच्छाएं वास्तव में आपके लिए हानिकारक हैं, वे पूरी नहीं होंगी, लेकिन जो इच्छाएं आपको थोड़ा कष्ट देंगी, वे इच्छाएं हनुमान जी पूरी कर देंगे, लेकिन जो इच्छाएं गुरु जी के आशीर्वाद से आपका अनमोल मानव जन्म बर्बाद कर देती हैं, वे कभी पूरी नहीं होती हैं।
सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावे – हनुमान जी यहां केवल राम जी का काम करने के लिए हैं। कलयुग में हमारी इच्छाओं को समाप्त कर के ईश्वर के साथ एकाकार करना है। एक विचलित व्यक्ति अपनी इच्छाओं के कारण और भी विचलित हो जाता है। गुरु जी उन इच्छाओं को पूरा करते हैं, लेकिन केवल वही जो आवश्यक हैं। अवांछित इच्छाएं पूरी नहीं हो पा रही हैं। आप कह सकते हैं कि भगवान मौजूद नहीं है क्योंकि वह कभी भी हमारे अनुरोधों को नहीं सुनता है। आप कहते हैं कि ईश्वर नहीं है, यह सच नहीं है।

शिक्षक ने कहा, “लोग मुझसे पूछते हैं कि हम कब प्रबुद्ध होंगे। जब तक आपके पास दुनिया से रेत के दाने के बराबर समर्थन नहीं होगा, तब तक आप प्रबुद्ध नहीं होंगे। यदि आप किसी भी चीज़ पर निर्भर हैं, चाहे वह पैसा, दोस्त, परिवार, या भगवान के अलावा कुछ भी हो, तो आप प्रबुद्ध हो सकते हैं। भगवान हमेशा तुम्हारा है; एक बार जब आप उसके हो जाते हैं, तो यह पूरा हो जाता है।“

किसी ने कहा, “चार पंक्तियों से मैंने जाना है कि हनुमान जी, गुरु के रूप में, राम जी का काम कौन करते हैं। हमारे लिए, यह है कि हमें इसे नहीं सुनना चाहिए, बल्कि जो सिखाया जा रहा है उसका पालन करना चाहिए। जब हम आत्मसमर्पण करना शुरू करते हैं, तो हम वही करना शुरू करते हैं जो सिखाया जा रहा है। जैसे-जैसे हम अभ्यास करते रहते हैं, हमारी इच्छाएं कम होती जा रही हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “तुम अपने गुरु की सेवा कैसे करते हो? कुछ लोग गुरु के चरणों की मालिश करने के लिए कहते हैं, लेकिन वह गुरु सेवा नहीं है। गुरुसेवा केवल आज्ञाकारिता के माध्यम से ही की जा सकती है। समर्पण का मतलब है कि आप कितने आज्ञाकारी हैं। गुरु जो सिखा रहे हैं, उसे तुम सुनते हो, लेकिन क्या तुम उसका अभ्यास करते हो? यदि आप आज्ञाकारी हैं और जो सिखाया जा रहा है उसे कर रहे हैं, तो आप गुरु सेवा कर रहे हैं। गुरु आपको अपनी तरह तैयार कर रहा है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वह आपको गुरु बना रहा है। गुरु बनने के लिए जो कुछ भी आवश्यक है, वह आपको प्रतिदिन सिखाया जा रहा है। आपको कई अलग-अलग तरीके बताए जा रहे हैं। आपको जो भी उपयुक्त हो उसे चुनना चाहिए और अपने गुरु के प्रति आज्ञाकारी होकर जहां भी आप हैं गुरु सेवा करें। गुरु आपको सच बोलने, ईमानदार रहने, जल्दी उठने, जल्दी सोने, केवल वही खाने के लिए कहते हैं जो शरीर के लिए आवश्यक है, कम बात करें, और दुनिया के साथ कम बातचीत करें। जितना कम आप दुनिया के साथ बातचीत करेंगे, उतना ही आप आनंद में होंगे। आप जहां भी हैं और जो भी कर रहे हैं, उसे पूरी ईमानदारी के साथ करें।
एक महिला ने कहा, “यदि हमारी इच्छाएं बढ़ती रहती हैं, तो हमारे वास्तविक जीवन लक्ष्य तक नहीं पहुंचा जा सकता है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “आप मुझे एक बात बताते हैं: आप एक माँ, एक पत्नी और एक बेटी हैं, और आपके पास पूरा करने के लिए कई जिम्मेदारियां हैं। जब तक आप जागते हैं, आप अपनी जिम्मेदारियों पर काम करना शुरू कर देते हैं। यदि आपको लगता है कि यह स्वार्थ की तरह लग सकता है, तो आप केवल अपना काम कर रहे हैं, लेकिन यह स्वार्थ क्यों नहीं है? महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि आपका दिमाग किस पर केंद्रित है। आपके मन की सारथी कैसे महत्वपूर्ण है? अगर श्री कृष्ण या राधा जी हैं तो कोई दिक्कत नहीं है। यदि आपका मन ईश्वर पर केंद्रित है न कि भौतिकवादी चीजों पर, तो कोई समस्या उत्पन्न नहीं होती है। यदि आपका मन भौतिकवाद पर केंद्रित है और आप सोचते हैं, चलो खिड़की की खरीदारी करते हैं या एक बार के लिए बाहर खाना खाते हैं, तो वे इच्छाएं केवल बढ़ती रहती हैं। उन इच्छाओं के कारण, आपके दुख बढ़ेंगे। लेकिन आप अपने परिवार के लिए काम कर रहे हैं, और आपकी जिम्मेदारियां स्वार्थी नहीं हैं क्योंकि आपका मन, सारथी, भगवान है। स्वार्थ तब आएगा जब आप अपनी खुशी के लिए कुछ करेंगे। लोग कहते हैं कि मेरे बच्चे छोटे हैं; मेरे ऊपर बहुत सारी जिम्मेदारियां थीं, लेकिन आप मर गए। क्या आप कुछ भी कर पाएंगे? अगर भगवान आपकी सारी जिम्मेदारियों का ख्याल रख रहे हैं, तो आप भगवान को अपने मन का राठी क्यों नहीं बनाते? जब आप केवल अपने परिवार और बच्चों के लिए जीते हैं, तो यह स्वार्थ है। जब आप केवल भगवान के लिए जीते हैं और अपनी सभी जिम्मेदारियों को पूरा करते हैं, तो आप स्वार्थी नहीं होते हैं।
