Here in our material planetary survival, we start with our endless endurance as a child, to an entrepreneur, to a manufacturing unit of plethora of kids and then are succumbed to death , waiting for the next birth as a beast again. So, it is with special excitement that this physical form is pleased to welcome a truly living personality to our web gathering. His disposition can’t be appreciated by me. Only a true being, following the path to live a full-fledged life, can be blessed enough to do such great honors. He has coached people to row the sleigh across the messy swamps of this world. His works as a Yogi, an ascetic is worthy enough to be quoted, to spellbound us, at His divine feet. I would like you all to listen to His divine words at this platform, for it may change the lives of millions. Have you wondered that if we listen to our leaders, we are blinded into the world of darkness, but His words shall illuminate our paths, and we shall be able to join our offices with a lightened mind on Monday. Let us tighten our seatbelts, and proceed into the world of unknown, contemplating the words of such a Godly being. Let us surrender our monkey minds at His divine feet, and consider His sayings, as they will be given to us. Let us understand the concept of “Bhakti“. How to surrender? Let us try to contemplate the words of a Guru to His disciples.
Stay exalted: An Effusion by a Celestial being is waiting to embrace us all
In the history of Bharat, we find the names of many people, ending with “Das“. In Guru Granth Saheb, we find the words of KabirDas; Tulsi krita Ramayana indicating TulsiDas, RaiDas, SurDas, RamDas. What does this unique patronymic suggest? Why, on earth, people wanted to become a slave of someone? It has deep reason behind.
They, neither wanted to propagate their names in writing or in vocal form, in the public, rather, they behaved as a Das. Das means a slave. In the Islam, as well, there was an eminent political leader, namely, Gulam Nabi Azaad, indicating to be the slave of Prophet Mohammed-peace-be-upon-Him. You have to develop a personal relationship with your soul. We can call Him Allah, Nanak, Buddha, Mahavir, Shiv, Kali, Ganesh, Ram, Krishna or any other name, you want to give it. It is formless and nameless. “Ek Omkar”, means, it is just an energy. But, for the sake of human beings like us, we think that some other man can help us, cross this struggle for Ultimate freedom. So, we look out for homologues. When a child is young, he does not know anything, except the act of crying. He can’t keep himself engaged in other tasks, as He is incapable of doing things. His parents (especially mother) knows everything; She breastfeeds Her baby, changes his garments, sings lullaby, ensuring that he sleeps well. While he is asleep, She completes Her household chores, cooking, mopping, cleaning, washing and the rest. A single bout of cry, forces Her, to leave Her chores, as they are, and She runs immediately to Him; picks him up and kisses him at his cheeks. This is a simple step-wise caring of A mother, but, He, who loves us more than that by seventy mothers………That baby has a single mode of expression, viz., the crying, but, Mother takes care of all his needs. The One who has created you, loves you more than that by seventy mothers; when you were young, He imparted milk for feeding you, in your mother’s breast, when you grew little older, He gave you food and tiny teeth, making you taste the best delicacies of the planet, and when you grew more older, He gave you teeth, for chewing and deglutinating the bolus, on your own. Our needs were and are being quenched at each and every step. You can breath in this fresh air, you can take sips of this refreshing water, and…… Some people think that if you give something, you will be at lose. In spirituality, the basic mathematics loses its rules. In mathematics, 1+1=2 and 2-2=0, but in the science of spirituality, it is logarithmic. Say, for example, your parents have two children, if one comes back from school, His mother loves him immensely, and by that time, the other returns back as well, the other is also loved tremendously. So, is the so-called-depository of mother’s love vacant, after imparting love to the first child? If mother gave hundred percent of the “available” love to the first one, She should be left with nothingness in Her arms. When the other kid shall return, Mother will be extinguished, devoid of love!!! It is not so. Mother’s love is inextinguishable. She can give love and care, to all Her kids, without any partiality. Her love is never smothered, She gives warmth to all Her family members. Thus, the more you give, the more you receive. This is Spirituality. In the field of materialism, as well, the more you bestow, the more you shall obtain, in abundance. Always give…. If you don’t have money, give your smile. Don’t say that you can’t accord your smile. You can smile, at least. By just a gesture of smiling, you can pass on positivity to many. The more you smile, the more you relay the positivity, the more you shall acquire the alacrity. So, in spirituality, 1+1 is not equal 2, but, it is 1. You become One with the divine, yourself. The more you surrender, the more the individual identity is surrendered to the Lord, the more you feel energy of the Lord, the more you receive the blessings. That is why, these saints were very intelligent. The more you give, you shall acquire in profusion. If you will give thousand rupees, you shall obtain in crores. At least, learn to give a rupee. You say, like a parrot, you are giving, you are surrendering, you utter that you are surrendering your mind at Thy feet, you take back the mind that very instant. “I” takes over your power of attorney. That is why, They are said to be the geniuses of the planet, KabirDas Ji, the greatest prodigy, Rahim, Nanak…… .They loved God, and became God themselves. “I can’t do anything, I am like a small baby. Nothing is in my control, I can neither make anyone alive, nor I can kill anyone, I can’t move a limb of this body voluntarily. I can only let Thee work through this physical body, and mind, and accomplish Thy wishes through this form, Let me be Thy tool.” These were such people, who learned to surrender at the divine feet of the soul. You will think, “I ate this food, I got the energy, I earned the money and I am rich, I worked hard for the same”, you are an idiot. This repetition of “I, I, I…” shall destroy you. Go to the graveyard and see the the manifestations of “I” are lying flat on the ground, perished into nothingness. This physical body or the mind can’t do anything, but, it is the Eternal energy, which works through you and for you. Depend on that divine energy “I”, surrender to Thee, strike your ego, and you shall become Jesus yourself. What did Jesus say? “Me and my Father are One.” When will you become One? When your ego is cut, you will become One as well. This is the basic gist of surrenderence. The more you surrender, the more “I” diminishes….. No, “I have bought this food, I have cooked it, I have eaten it.” What about the journey of the bolus further, down and the process of digestion? You can chew and swallow the bolus, Can you digest it, absorb it, and assimilate it in the form of energy needed? If your physical body is capable enough, then do it. Digest it and absorb it. Command your heart to stop pumping blood for awhile, you are facing lack of oxygen in this pandemic, make use of the available stuff efficiently, if you think yourself capable enough. Breath in that oxygen, it is sumptuous for quenching your needs. You were yelling a minute before, that you do it all on your own. So, nothing is in your hands…idiots. That’s why, they were geniuses, not idiots. As a child surrenders himself to his Mother, similarly, they, being elder by age, surrendered at the Divine feet of Allah. “O Lord! I can’t do anything. Whatever you want to do through this physical body and mind, You do it.” Thus, these prodigies were called “Das”. Once they completely surrendered, they became completely purified, became clean, and, God started running after them. KabirDas Ji has quoted in His dohas (sayings)- “Kabira man nirmal bhaya jaise Ganga neer, peechhe peechhe Hari firat Kabir Kabir”. Once you surrender, God asks you to cease your futile efforts and He comes Himself, and lifts us up in His lap. God served Mira Bai, KabirDas Ji and similarly, He serves you as well. But, your stubborn heads are rigid as boulders. You say “I am driving the car”, He sits on the back seat at enjoys the ride. If you say, “O Lord! I am not capable of driving. You drive it. I can do the tasks, You wish to do through this body and mind”. Then, it works wonders. This is the beautiful story of surrenderence. Why they were named “Das” or “Gulam Nabi” or “Gulam Rasool” or “Gulam Mohammed“? Become the slave of Him, who has united with Allah. Automatically, you will be directed towards the path which shall lead you, to your ‘ultimate aim’ of life, attaining Oneness and Eternal peace, with the Divine. You will realize it.
How to get surrendered? It is easy to vocabularise. But, you all are unable to surrender. Keep repeating His name, 24*7. Keep chanting the Name. In Guru Granth Saheb, it is quoted “Naam japa kirat kar aur vandke chak”. Whatsoever hard work you are doing, do with the consideration and simultaneous chanting, that “I am not doing it, You are directing this body and mind, for Your tasks.” Kirat means the hard work, or whatever you have earned, offer it at Thy Divine feet. Then, disseminate it, to the world, for growth. See the God in everyone. Then, you will see the change. Naam japa kirat kar aur vandke chak…. So, Keep repeating His name, the more you repeat, the more you recite the name with every breath, Vahe Guru, Vahe Guru… Ram, Ram… Allah, Allah….. The more your heart shall be purified, the more your thoughts shall be purified, and the life becomes more easy for you. If you are worried and anxious, about your family and friends, sufferings, just repeat the name of the Lord, and, say that “I can’t do anything, I can only pray to Thee. You love seventy times more than a Mother’s love. Just like you love me, love my dad, my mum, love my children, and make them feel your presence. Heal them physically, mentally.” You can help just by spreading the positivity. Then, there is a very-very important technique to surrender. But, that technique needs your patience, your perseverance, and your obedience. And that technique is, wake up between 3a.m. and 6a.m. early in the morning, in Brahma Muhurta. Leave the bed, wash your face, go to the washroom, come back, and just, focus your attention on your breathing. Take the positive energy of the environment, that environment is helping you at that moment. The entire energy, the positivity from the planet, you can receive and give. So, receive the energy, repeat the Name of the Lord, again and again. And, also, just before going to bed, or in the Go-dhuli-bela (the descending dusk) at the time of sunset, do the same, repeat the same thing again. This is one technique.
The other technique, those who can’t wake up at that time, who are busy, (they blabber “We lack the time even for dying.” Why do you survive in such grave conditions? Your death shall benefit the planet more.), you do not have time, no issues, if you are so lazy, lazier-than-laziness, you can’t wake up, you can’t do that; you have the subsidized offer as well. There is another way, you all go to sleep, you pretend to sleep, you say that we are insomniac, at least you lie on the bed. Before you go to the bed, sit for some time, on your bed, with joined hands, or in whatever position you want to, tell Him or It (if consideration is formless) of Her, in any form you appraise the Energy, “O Lord, whatever you did through this physical body and mind, throughout the day, if with my actions, words or deeds, I have hurt someone, so, please forgive me; forgive me for the number of times I have forgotten Your presence (When ever I have bowed before This ego, thinking “I am the doer”, forgive me for that) and give me enough strength to forgive and forget those have trespassed me. Give me power to forgive and forget the trespassers, who have hurt me and are busy, impairing me”. On the next day, when you wake up, again go under Thy refuge, “O Lord! You have given me such a bright morning. I am thankful to you. Please help me to surrender at your divine feet. Whatever you want to do through this body and mind, please do it, kindly you serve this planet through this body, be it family, friends, society or the rest, please kill my ego, please make me surrender and make me your Das. Nothing is mine, neither this body nor the mind belongs to me. This gross body, soon, will perish. Children, family…. all are your yours.”
We never brought anything at birth, we have got some assets here and we shall renounce them, and leave this physical abode. “These children are mine” these are also not your yours, they are ‘in-laws’. Husband is ‘in-law’. They have been given to you by your ‘in-laws’, they are not yours. God has delivered your children through your physical body, but they don’t belong to you. They are His. You try to surrender using these steps. This is the easiest way to work on the planet. Once you become the Gulam, Das, you start developing the personal relationship with your Lord. The more you work for Him, the more you receive His love….. then an intimate relationship shall be established. “Tvamev Mata cha Pita Tvamev, Tvamev Bandhu Sakha Tvamev. Tvamev Vidya Dravinam Tvamev, Tvamev Sarvam Mama Devdeva.” Whatever relation you wantt to establish, a brother, sister, friend, husband, wife, child, mother, father…. you will be able to initiate the alliance of Integrity. Gradually, you are dyed in the Divine dyes, and you play in jolly in His lap. This is called as “work as a representative of the Divine Will”; just, becoming the servant of God. This the straightforward path to Ultimate Success.
