After elucidating the Penta-elemental constitution and its glories to King Yadu, Dattatreya Ji told about the other Gurus.
Sun- The sun burns itself to illuminate others. Similarly, until and unless we practice penance to mold ourselves into precious jewels, we cannot enlighten others. Obedience and persistent practice are essential.
We may think that the external surroundings burn us. But, in reality, the haze of thoughts in our minds makes us think the same. We should accept difficult situations as opportunities to uncover the inner brightness.
Moon- The moon is seen waning and waxing in the sky. But, it happens because of the laws of relativity. The moon remains fixed to its functions in the galaxy. Most people see the dark sky in their hearts. Only a few have realized the entire moon of soul in their hearts. Waxing and waning are merely the stages, but the moon remains unstirred from its functions.
The moon does not have anything of its own, it merely reflects. We need to be representatives of God rather than being secretaries.
Ocean-The ocean is the reservoir or the receiving pool of all the rivers. It receives the waters from all drains and rivers without any discrimination. It merely acts as a pool that gives off vapors to the sky for creating clouds. The entire bed of the ocean is one in the entire planet. The scattered landmasses divide the ocean superficially. But, it is one. It receives all kinds of debris and filth but is ever ready to render itself to the sky in the form of clouds. It is ever tolerant and selfless.
