One day, Uddhava saw Sri Krishna sitting near the bank of river Yamuna, with tears rolling down his cheeks continuously. Uddhava asked him the reason behind the distress despite being the incarnation of the universe, the Vishwaguru (the cosmic Guru). Sri Krishna said that he was not crying, but Radha Rani was crying through his eyes. Uddhava could not understand the science behind the same. Sri Krishna said to Uddhava that he was a dry though knowledgeable being, devoid of the essence of love.
At that moment, Radha Rani and other gopis were sitting on the opposite bank of river Yamuna in Gokul, crying for Sri Krishna.
Uddhava saw a bowl made of leaves (called dona) floating in the river. The bowl was filled with water. As the bowl touched Sri Krishna’s feet, sudden winds began blowing. The winds dwindled the bowl, and the water-filled in the bowl splashed at Sri Krishna’s feet. The water was nothing but the tears of Radha Rani collected in the bowl, unknowingly.
Uddhava lifted the empty dona and repeated the concept of non-dualism theoretically (Do- means two and –na means no, it grossly indicates non-dualism). Sri Krishna asked Uddhava to go to Gokul and convince Radha Rani with his concepts. Uddhava felt boastful and said that he wished to visit Gokul. Sri Krishna asked Uddhava to wear Krishna’s clothes and take Krishna’s chariot, for the people of Vrindavan didn’t bother to look at him. Uddhava did the same and left for Gokul.
At Gokul, Uddhava saw several unusual tributaries flowing into the river Yamuna. He followed the trails of the broadest tributary and found Radha Rani and other Gopis as the source. He held his chariot and came down to greet her. Radha Rani and others felt that someone came in Sri Krishna’s outfit. Uddhava bowed before Radha Rani and asked her the reason behind the tears. Radha Rani didn’t utter a word and merely bowed before Uddhava. Uddhava started explaining about the Advait (Non-dualism) in a dramatic way. Radha Rani sat silently with patient listening ears. After Uddhava completed the lecture, Radhi Rani said that she was the lover, but he was a wise being elaborating on dualism. She asked Uddhava the reason behind elaborating Non-dualism in an elaborative way, despite being aware that he and she were One.
Uddhava felt amazed, a hair-to-end experience. He felt that She was an embodiment of Brahman, an incarnation of love. He prostrated before Radha Rani and, she gently placed her hand over his head, and he felt the gush of unconditional love in his veins.
She is Love personified, devoid of attachment, as we have for our relatives and resources.
There are several quotes,
Prem Gali Ati Sakari Usmein Do Na Samayein, Jab Main Tha To Tu Nhi Ab Tu Hai To Main Nhi.
Love is One. Love cannot blossom in the presence of ‘I’. Once ‘I’ disappears, Love blossoms.
Tu Tu Karta Tu Bhaya, Rahi Na Mujhmein Hu. Bari Tere Naam Ki, Jit Dekhu Tit Tu.
Once Love manifests, there is no ‘two’. We see the Same Essence in everything.
Kucch Na Tha To Khuda Tha, Kucch Na Hota To Khuda Hota, Mitaya Mujhko Hone Ne, Na Hota Main To Khuda Hota.
When nothing existed, the essence existed; if nothing would have existed, the essence existed. The ‘I’ destroyed me. If ‘I’ would have been extinct, the essence could expand.
