Guruji is sitting alone, lost in divine ecstasy. A few curious people visit him.
Person 1: Greetings to Thee. We are distressed. We do every step prescribed in the scriptures, but we do not feel the presence of the Lord.
Person 2: We offer prayers, chant the Name, give charity and even thank God for his blessings. But, we feel some voidness in ourselves.
Person 3: This world has clutched our arms and captured us. Kindly free us from captivity.
Guruji stays silent and holds a pole projected near him.
Guruji: Oh! This pole has caught me. It is clung to me. Please free me. Ohh…
People start laughing seeing the response. They ridicule him thinking him to be a mad man.
Person 3: O sir! Thou have held the pole. Loosen your grip and, you shall be freed.
Guruji (smiles): You have also held the world with your arms and, you think that the world has captured you. Loosen your grip and, you shall be free.
Person 2: Guruji, we are confused.
Guruji: You want everything you see. You wish to travel on an airplane seeing your neighbor. You keep your family in your heart and remain clung to them.
Person 1: We haven’t held our children.
Guruji: The children are moving in your thoughts. You chant the Name, but like a parrot, without feeling the presence. You give charity, but with the wish for the good of yourself and your family. You are not all-inclusive. You perform prayers regularly, but it is a useless business, as it is dhama dhama.
You keep the world in your heart. You cannot see God in your heart. Once you let go, you will see the Lord. Haath paron se kaam karo aur man niranjan naal. Keep the Lord in your heart while living in the world.
Then, you will see Lord in every creation. You shall be freed from all relations. You shall not be attached in any relations or keep expectations.
You are neither the body nor the mind. You are the soul. You have merely visited the planet. You create menace in this little life after losing your relatives. They merely changed their clothing.
Forgive and forget. Give and Forget. Remain silent when you give. Never hold anything, otherwise, you shall suffer.
