Falcon and Farmer

A mother said, “Be detached.” Alif explained, “When you find that you are attached to the worldly assets and relations, surrender everything at the divine feet of God and let him nurture their needs.”

Alif shared some humor, “A person said to his colleague, ‘We should not argue with fools.’ His colleague said, ‘I strongly disagree with you.’ The person said, ‘Very well, sir, I agree with you.’ All laughed.

A person said, “We should be obedient to the Guruji’s words completely.” Alif agreed.

A mother said, “We are aware that the farmer has appeared in our lives as Guruji. And, he is aware of our potential. Hence, we should not take the liberty to relax on the worldly branches but rather soar to eternal heights.” Alif smiled and said, “Thousands of creatures dwell even on a branch. Then, why should we let it cut? Rather, renounce it and be free.”

A girl said, “Several times, worldly branches have been cut, yet I prefer sitting even on the leaves. If I practice in the present moment, I won’t seek an opportunity to relax over the branches.” Alif said, “It’s true. Our balance has become so awesome that we even find scope to rest on the young leaves. Just chant the name and practice.”

A lady said, “The falcon underestimated itself as a squirrel. Several people in my life are ready to chop off the branches I cherish. However, I must realize that the people I look up to are my well-wishers, as they know my potential, even if I may be ignorant. Comfort zone conceals curiosity.” Alif explained, “When God pulls us out of our cozy couches, we abuse God. Yet, God remains adamant. When we soar at heights after a phase of struggle, we thank God for making us free. You analyze the losses and profits from the same level. But the Guru sees the entirety from a height. Many impulses of emotions arise in the mind, and we flow with them. But if you direct the flow towards the Satchitanand, you become the enormous ocean itself. People often say, ‘That person gambled and boozed over the drinks. I am merely stealing a few assets. What’s wrong with it?’ Is the magnitude of wrong deeds a criterion for you to indulge in the same? You have been blessed with the virtue of discrimination. You make false frames of your dreams and aspire in the wrong ways. If God has given you the thought of aspiring to a state, then he will grant it. But if he doesn’t, it means that you should practice inner contemplation. Out of fear of losing, some people conceal themselves in a room and limit their interactions. Stop all this rubbish and be free.”

A mother said, “We limit ourselves to what we think we can do. Your presence in our lives is also for pushing us higher.” Alif interrupted, “To the highest.” Mother continued, “In the materialistic world, the term ‘higher’ signifies great positions and possessions… I am grateful to you.” Alif said, “I am grateful that you all listen to us and even practice. We could have spoken to the walls, who cannot act.”

Another mother said, “In our contexts, the farmer chops off a branch every day, but we prefer sitting on another comfortable branch. On receiving a push from the divine discourse, we fly to some height, but after fatigue conquers, we prefer sitting again. New shoots appear every day on the tree, but we sit on either the worldly or the spiritual shoots. Every day, we cover higher heights than the preceding day and even endure the tiredness diligently. We are taught that new shoots appear every moment, and we will seek the branches occasionally. But, on consistent practice, endurance shall replace tiredness, and soon, we will not seek the branches, but rather prefer soaring high. And, once we traverse the clouds, we will experience the bliss of freedom, forgetting the shoots of misery.” Alif appreciated and said, “Just remember the golden sentence. Don’t argue with fools.”

A lady said, “I am neither responsible for not sitting on the branch nor cutting it by my efforts. I am responsible for being obedient.” Alif said, “I have given some privileges to a few people, as per their good deeds in past lives. You are one of them, hence I have arranged thorns on your favorite branches, so that you cannot sit. I am not partial, but your receiving end makes you feel it. Don’t compare and compete.”

A mother said, “Once the branch was cut, it was forced to fly high. Hence, we should soar high, avoiding worldly branches.” Alif said, “Yes, don’t call your homes your permanent dwelling, just soar high and remain blissful.”

A mother started on a deep note, “One of the falcons tasted the bliss of soaring high, and the other quenched its curiosity by flying to a few meters. The high-soaring falcon realized that mere words could not persuade his friend to accompany him to that height. Words cannot deliver the experiences completely. I may have also developed cozy zones in my character, hence I must work consistently to renounce the comforts. Another point struck my mind. The baby falcons were gifted, which means they were taken away from their natural habitat and were cared for in royal captivity. If the unique falcons dwelled in their natural habitat, both could have soared higher in less time. If children are nurtured in their completeness and allowed to blossom freely, they attain better growth.” Alif applauded and said, “This is the best point ever. It’s an important point for the parents whose children are very young. Don’t feed them with a golden spoon. You may think that you are giving your best, but in reality, you are grooming them in captivity. As an infant tries to explore an object, you hush him and say, ‘No! No!’. Hence, the child learns the first word of negativity. Appreciate the infant and impart positivity. You may think that you shall nurture them in all the comforts. But when they leave the nest and rebel, you begin doubting your parenting. Hence, surrender yourself and your children at the divine feet of God….. When the children grow, they begin thinking of themselves as Gods. Your parenting guides them, but makes them reliant on the inner self…. Feel the Name intensely while chanting.”

A person said, “I realized that I am attached to my death. I want to become Mrityunjaya as per your will.” Alif appreciated.
