Barren doctrines

Once there lived three young friends in a little town. One day, they were travelling via a ship for a trip. Soon, the ship was trapped in a storm and was left wrecked on a barren island. Ecosystem flourished in its bounty on the island. The flora and fauna blossomed to its fullest. The boys survived the storm and began living on the island, as new inhabitants. They grew up as young lads, under the canopies of the trees, and nourishment from the nuts. One of the boys had been inculcated with a prayer, which he had been taught by his mother. The prayer was “God exists, All is done by Him, We thank God”. The three boys learned the prayer and lived happily on the island. They were so what illiterates, as they were spending their years of schooling on an island, lost from the world. Only the prayer was their true shelter; they lacked the proper knowledge regarding proper rites and rituals of ‘concrete’ prayers.

One day, another ship was thrown at the shore, by the strong nature. Some of the sailors died, a handful survived. They lit a fire, as an act for signaling other ships or boats which might be travelling nearby. Soon, a rescue ship arrived and rescued the sailors. The captain of the rescue ship saw some unusual movements on the island, which could have been possible only by humans. He inquired about the presence of any human dweller on the island. The wrecked sailors nodded in no. The captain gazed at the island with spooky suspicious eyes, and left the island. The captain could not digest the event, he had encountered. He discussed the matter with the clergy. The ‘grand’ clergymen decided to visit the island, to investigate the scenario. The deacon, clergymen and the other sailors hooked the ship to the giant boulder and carried out the operations to find human inhabitants. They found three boys. the clergymen interrogated them. The boys enunciated their names, which indicated that belonged to a Christian family. The deacon asked them about the ways they followed to carry out the prayers. The boys recited their ‘bland’ prayer in an accord. The clergymen were horrified listening to the words. They gave a scornful look and expressed their views that the boys were sinners, as they had been performing the prayers in a wrong way. The boys were scared. The deacon promised to initiate them, guide them towards the path of Christianity. He gave them a book of Bible, and a rosary. They were baptized, under a specific set of prayers. He asked them to pray in under a set of codes of conduct. The gentle boys accepted the words of their teacher. The clergymen and the rest packed us their baggage and began their voyage back to their home town. The sea was their dwelling for few days, as they had to traverse the extravagant pacific ocean, even through the ring of fire which enveloped their path. the boys looked at each other as they left, and found that they had forgotten the preaching delivered by the teacher. They became anxious, and began running to catch the ship. The boys could run over the surface of water, and soon, they reached the ship, and leaped on the deck. The sailors were petrified, seeing the event. The clergymen asked about the ways through which the boys could reach the ship. The boys said that they had enunciated the prayer before they started the journey. The boys were scared that they had been poor students, in learning the lessons from the noble teachers. The deacon and the clergymen bowed before them, and asked for the forgiveness. They realized that the boys were better by all means, as they were closer to Lord. The boys jumped from the deck and ran back to the island. Back to the island, they were confused as they could not decipher the reason of arrival of the clergymen. They cleared the mess from the island, and lived happily.

Back in the hometown, the deacon wanted the proof of validity of the bland prayer of the boys. He assembled a team of all the renowned priests, mullahs, sardars and the rest from different countries, to carry out a full fledged research. They left and reached the island. The boys were puzzled seeing the mess. The deacon asked about the ways through which they could run on water. The boys were tired of the menace. The decorated priests with saffron robes and smeared heads, people with little tuft of hair, some with long rods and rosaries, some with bright turbans and the rest. The boys plead before them for they might leave the island. As the discussion continued, the time of prayer appeared. The three joined their hands and repeated their prayer. As their prayer ended, a strong thunderstorm and heavy rains hit the island. the visitors began running in a chaotic manner. Some were trying to save their turbans, some were busy adjusting their clothing, and all sorts of bounties. The night was quite chaotic on the island. Everything was destroyed, despite all the efforts. Next morning, the boys asked about the reason of the menace. They inquired if their Gods didn’t protect them in the rains, as they portrayed themselves as staunch followers of their religion. The priests and the rest felt embarrassed at the quote. They asked for forgiveness. They said that they were unaware about the powers, they were only aware about the One who did all the jobs for them, and they thanked Him. They felt that Lord was with them.

So, if we conclude with a moral, we find that adhama is mere show-off and flattery. Dhama dhama involves futile rites. Madhyama includes meditation and sense of practice (dhyaan dhaarana). And, the best is sahajaawastha which was portrayed by the boys, which the intervention of adults.
