Nominal Nomenclature

One day, the mortals began creating menace on the grounds of possessing God. Some proclaimed their possessions, others began to snatch the belongings. Those riots were not limited to the land of mortals. Even, the demigods began the riots The parties residing near the Ksheersagar announced their ownership over Sri Krishna. The other parties from Vaikuntha began yelling heavily. Mahadev smiled seeing the child’s play. Mother asked Him to take few steps to calm the scenario. He replied that His efforts would be futile, as there was grave unrest. Mother tried to persuade Him. He narrated a little fable. The fable was about an ordinary incident that we encounter every day. He said that there were no sweets that were named with a suffix or prefix as ‘sweet’. There were ladoos, rasogullas, gulab jamun, and the rest, but none of them include ‘sweet’ in their names. But, no one could deny that they were not sweets. People visited the shops with a variety of tastes, selected the sweets, and enjoyed the juicy sweets. No one was present to restrict their taste buds. He wished to give a message through that parable. Mother understood the notion. By that time, the riots calmed down. Shiva Ji approached the demigods and the mortals. He said that God was omnipresent. One of the mortals asked about the percentage occurrence of God. Unrest unfurled again. Shiva Ji said that God was omnipresent with uniform percentage occurrences. All calmed down. All were freed from the ‘marsh’. Some demigods asked about the reason they couldn’t see God. Shiva Ji gathered the silence again. He said that they had to take steps to find Him within.

The name ‘sweet’ incorporates all the goodies which are sweet. Similarly, God is One, irrespective of ‘variegated’ names. God is not partial towards a particular sect or party. Manifestation is uniform in all the segments of the cosmos. When we segregate ourselves into sects (dall in Hindi), and fight, we are stuck in a grand marsh (dall-dall). Remaining silent and inert in all phases of life is the best initiative to avoid unrest. He is present everywhere, uniformly; he does everything through us and for us, still, we do not feel His presence. We need to work harder. Do we have the potency to feel the Oneness with Him? Let us see this through another parable.

One day, Thakur JiMaster Mahashaya, and another person were traveling on a horse cart. The men were terribly hungry. Suddenly, a person stopped the cart and offered something to Thakur Ji. He accepted the gift, gave a glance at the gentlemen, and swallowed the morsel. Then, he asked the men about their state of digestive fire. They replied that they were feeling quenched. Similarly, when Thakur Ji was ill, His disciples asked Him to ask Mother to grind the food for He could take some liquid diet. He replied that He was quenched when His disciples ate the food.

Guru made His disciples feel the Oneness. They were prepared. Are we ready?
