Powerful Faith

Once upon a time, there lived a blind saint in his hermit. He struggled while completing his daily routine. He could not perform tasks with perfection. But, he was perfect in two jobs. He always remembered the Self and had firm faith in the Self.

He had a habit of waking up early in the morning and climbing the highest cliff like a child’s play. One of his naive disciples observed him for several weeks and decided to ask him about the cause. The other dawn, he rushed towards his Guru and held his feet. He asked him if he was scared of immense heights. Guru Ji smiled and asked him to walk with him to the top. The boy climbed the apex, trembling in fear. Guru Ji asked him to push him off the cliff. The boy stood stupified. He denied. Guru Ji said that people would not respect him as he disobeyed his Guru. The boy was in a fix. The boy said he could not push him off the cliff even if the death angel appeared before him. Guru Ji nodded and said that he could push the boy off the cliff. The boy held Guru Ji’s hands firmly and said they could jump together. Guru Ji asked the reason.

The boy said to Guru Ji that he could not push his shishya. Guru Ji asked about the reason the boy held his hand. The boy replied that he was scared. Guru Ji asked the reason behind the fear. The boy replied that he could see horrendous views from the cliff, and several visions had clouded his mind. The boy affirmed that Guru Ji was fearless as he could not see the horrifying scenes. Guru Ji said that the boy held his hands when he feared, and Guru Ji helped him descend the hill. He established a congruency and proved that he could not see the trench into which he could fall and destroy his precious birth as a human. The boy even could not see the entity who loved him seventy times a mother’s love.

The boy realized an important lesson on the power of faith and Name. Guru Ji had firm faith in the Self.
