Hymn of Glories- Part 19

  1. After the coronation, Sugriva flourished in his kingdom. He felt mesmerized by materialism. Soon, the months of rains commenced. Sugriva said that they could easily strategize their steps after the rains ceased. Rama agreed, and they held all the operations for four months.
  2. Sugriva forgot his promise within a short period and began frolicking in the world. We often thank people for a few days or weeks and then forget to keep our promise. But if we surrender the words and our life to Lord, we can never cheat others.
  3. One day, Rama began conversing with Lakshmana in a way Hanumana Ji could hear the conversation. Rama said that he was angry at Sugriva’s deeds and wished to punish him the next day. Listening to the naive words, Lakshmana began laughing. He proclaimed that Rama didn’t know the ways to express his anger and asked Rama to command him to handle the issue. Rama consoled him and asked him to wait.
  4. Hanumana Ji reached Sugriva’s court in a millisecond and warned him to recollect a grand promise he had made to Lord Rama. Sugriva realized his mistake and rushed towards Rama to keep his promise.
  5. Hanumana Ji was a Guru of Sugriva as he took Sugriva to Rama, and as he committed a mistake, Guru guided him.
