Hymn of Glories- Part 30

  1. Lakshamana appeared on the battlefield with the same energy. Meghanatha was ready to face and chase the opposite army with all his powers. He focussed on Naagpaash and called the entire bed of snakes. The snakes assembled and accepted Meghnatha as their commander. Meghnatha commanded them to trap Rama and Lakshmana. Though the snakes enmeshed them, Rama and Lakshmana didn’t lose their inner energy.
  2. Narad Ji saw the event and commanded Garuda Ji, Narayana’s vehicle, the eagle, to help his master. Garuda Ji could loosen the grip and abolish the snakes.
  3. Garuda Ji appeared in the scene as a superhero and threatened the snakes. The power of Naagpaash dwindled and, the snakes became devitalized. Soon, the snakes escaped. Garuda Ji felt that he turned out to be a superhero by saving his Lord. Ego swelled within him. He took a flight and flew across the heavens. Lost in the world of fuzzy thoughts, he collided with Narada Ji. Garuda Ji felt that he lost all his energies, though he expressed a valorous act on the field. Narada Ji explained to Garuda Ji the need to renounce the ego, as he was merely an actor in the divine drama. But, Garuda Ji could not accept the words. Narada Ji asked him to meet Kaakbasundi Ji, a saint in the kingdom of crows.
  4. Garuda Ji could accept the words of one of his kinds, rather than a revered human. Kaakbasundi Ji elaborated on the concept of ego and its aftermath. Garuda Ji realized his mistake. Kaakbasundi Ji asked him to return to Narada Ji. In turn, Narada Ji asked him to ask for forgiveness from his Lord Rama.
  5. Garuda Ji flew to Rama and bowed before him. Rama tapped on Garuda Ji’s back and asked him to remain away from the clutches of ego.
  6. When we wish to harm others, we spread the net to catch ourselves. Meghnatha could have used the energies in optimistic ways. But, he misused the powers and thus suffered.

We need to practice. When we enunciate AUM, we direct our thoughts in a way that they converge into Nothingness. As a result, the hormones and other biological phases become normal. Similarly, when we experience the first ray of the sun of the dawn, the hormones undergo magnificent changes and, we attain holistic health. Brahma Muhurta and Brahmacharya can redeem human life. If we cannot practice in the dawn, we can choose Godhulibela, the dusk, for meditation. Observing the breathes and chanting is the best way to surrender. Renouncing a few minutes of sleep can make us Yogis.
