Hymn of Glories- Part 31

  1. Meghnatha faced Rama and Lakshmana after the Naagpaash episode. On the first day, Lakshmana became unconscious. Rama and Lakshmana experienced an entangling event on the second day. They faced Meghnatha on the third day. Lakshmana offered special prayers to his parents, to Rama and, to Mother Sita. He prayed to Mother for blessings for he could gain victory in the battle. The third day was a special one. Lakshmana had completed his fourteen years of penance. Meghnatha could not stir Lakshmana through all his efforts. Lakshmana shot the arrow, remembering Mother. Lakshmana saw Mother dwelling in the powerful arrow. Soon, Meghnatha attained liberation.
  2. The fight extended for three days. In reality, Lakshmana abolished the three tapas (Satoguna, Rajoguna, and Tamoguna) of Meghnatha. Neither Lakshmana saw himself as Meghnatha’s Guru nor did Meghnatha work as a disciple. A disciple may be arrogant for Guru, but the Guru never abandons his disciple.
  3. Lakshmana fixed his mind on the Self. Meghnatha didn’t think of anything except Lakshmana at his last breath, thus attained liberation. Seeing the element in all the creations can liberate us in the last breath and even before it. Sri Krishna has said that we become what we think at the last moment.
