Today is the fifth day of Navaratri, revered in the name of Mother Skandmata. We are aware that She is called so because she is the mother of Kartikeya. She is the Mother of everyone; the omnipresent, the omniscient. Kartikeya took birth from the womb; we all took birth from her womb. She is our very own. We took birth through her and will surely merge in her. When we go to our mother, she gives us everything we need. She may live scarcely but makes her child have everything in abundance. This is a mother’s love, who is physically bound. The divine mother loves us seventy times a mother’s love. We have millions of desires and we ask her to fulfill those wishes. If we go to her and say that we have come to her for we love her, soon the ‘I’ vanishes and the love personifies itself. We merge with the Mother. We deserve salvation and Mother gives that as well. We should desire what we deserve. The divine mother showers her compassion 24*7, but on these special days of Navaratri, She is extraordinarily compassionate and showers herself unto us. She forgives us. When there is a flood, everything sweeps away. Similarly, she sweeps away all our sins. So it is the best time to utilize the flood of divine love. We should surrender. ‘O, Mother! I’m a child. I may divert from the right path. You must keep me on the right path.’ We rever the Penta-elemental mother, the biological one. The soul, which is immortal, is our true mother. Purification of five elements, and even the purification of five layers (Koshas)… Namastute Namastute… I (the ego) bow before the Mother, who resides within me. We never join our hands and use formal salutations while talking to our mother. The divine mother is the true mother. Formal actions make us distant from her. Only love should prevail…
मां स्कंदमाता-
मां स्कंदमाता के नाम से पूजनीय नवरात्र का आज पांचवां दिन है। हम जानते हैं कि उन्हें ऐसा इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि वह कार्तिकेय की माता हैं। वह सबकी माँ हैं; सर्वव्यापी, सर्वज्ञ। गर्भ से कार्तिकेय ने जन्म लिया; हम सभी ने भी उनके ही गर्भ से जन्म लिया है। वह हमारी अपनी हैं। हमने उसी से जन्म लिया है और अवश्य ही उसमें लीन होंगे। जब हम अपनी माँ के पास जाते हैं, तो वह हमें वह सब कुछ देती हैं जो हमें चाहिए। वह बहुत मुश्किल से जी पाती है, लेकिन अपने बच्चे के पास सब कुछ प्रचुर मात्रा में उपलब्ध कराती है। यह एक माँ का प्यार है, जो शारीरिक रूप से बंधी हुई है। दिव्य माँ हमें एक माँ के प्यार से सत्तर गुना प्यार करती है। हमारी लाखों इच्छाएं हैं और हम उनसे उन इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए कहते हैं। अगर हम उसके पास जाते हैं और कहते हैं कि हम उसके पास आए हैं क्योंकि हम उससे प्यार करते हैं, तो जल्द ही ‘मैं’ गायब हो जाता है और प्रेम पराकाष्ठा पर पहुंच जाता है। हम माँ के साथ विलीन हो जाते हैं। हम मोक्ष के पात्र हैं और माता भी देती हैं। हमें वह चाहिए जिसके हम हकदार हैं। देवी माँ 24*7 अपनी करुणा की वर्षा करती हैं, लेकिन नवरात्रि के इन विशेष दिनों में, वह असाधारण रूप से दयालु हैं और हम पर अपनी कृपा बरसाती हैं। वह हमें माफ कर देती है। जब बाढ़ आती है तो सब कुछ बह जाता है। इसी तरह, वह हमारे सभी पापों को दूर कर देती हैं। तो यह दिव्य प्रेम की बाढ़ का उपयोग करने का सबसे अच्छा समय है। हमें समर्पण करना चाहिए। ‘हे, माँ! मैं एक बच्चा हूँ। मैं सही रास्ते से हट सकता हूं। तुम्हें मुझे सही रास्ते पर रखना है।’ हम पंचभौतिक मां का सम्मान करते हैं। जो आत्मा अमर है वही हमारी सच्ची माता है। पांच तत्वों की शुद्धि, और यहां तक कि पांच परतों (कोश) की शुद्धि … नमस्तुते नमस्तुते … मैं (मेरा अहंकार) माता के सामने झुकता हूं, जो माँ मेरे भीतर निवास करती हैं। हम अपनी मां से बात करते समय कभी भी हाथ नहीं जोड़ते हैं और औपचारिक अभिवादन का उपयोग भी नहीं करते हैं। दिव्य माता ही सच्ची माता है। औपचारिक कार्य हमें उनसे दूर कर देता है। बस प्रेम ही रहनी चाहिए…
