Algae Thoughts

A disciple came to Thakur Ji and asked, “What’s this illusion?” Thakur Ji peeped into the disciple’s eyes and replied after a minute, “Delusion is like algae, which you see on the surface of ponds.” The disciple said, “How to get rid of this illusion?” Thakur Ji said, “Separate the algae and you can see the clear water.” The disciple said, “We remember God for a moment or so, and then we forget.” Thakur Ji said, “Do one thing. Separate the algae, and then place a net to avoid the algae.” The disciple said, “For cleaning the water, it’s easy. But, how to put the net for algae-like thoughts?” Thakur Ji said, “Put the name of God’s name and you shall be free of delusion. Be in the present moment and be free.”

काई जैसे विचार- एक शिष्य ठाकुर जी के पास आया और पूछा, “यह माया क्या है?” ठाकुर जी ने शिष्य की आँखों में झाँका और एक मिनट के बाद उत्तर दिया, “माया काई की तरह है, जो आप तालाबों की सतह पर देखते हैं।” शिष्य ने कहा, “कैसे इस माया से छुटकारा पाएं?” ठाकुर जी ने कहा, “काई अलग कर दो तो साफ पानी दिखाई देगा।” शिष्य ने कहा, “हम भगवान को एक-एक क्षण के लिए याद करते हैं, और फिर भूल जाते हैं।” ठाकुर जी ने कहा “एक काम करो। एक जाली लगा लो तो पानी साफ़ रहेगा।” शिष्य ने कहा, “पानी की सफाई के लिए यह आसान है। लेकिन काई जैसे विचारों के लिए जाल कैसे लगाएं?” ठाकुर जी ने कहा, “भगवान के नाम रखो और तुम माया से मुक्त हो जाओगे। वर्तमान क्षण में रहो और मुक्त हो जाओ।”
