During the session, someone said, “After I received guidance from Guruji, I started understanding the gist of life. From my childhood, I learned many shlokas as a ritual in my house. My mother made me recite them like a parrot. On introspecting the past seven years, I find that I was born only seven years ago. There are many things about receiving guidance from the Guru who is not in the physical form. But, things change drastically, once we receive guidance from a person who has realized the soul and is present in the physical form.” A lady said, “Yes! It’s quite simple. There is nothing to argue in your statement. It is the ultimate truth. Before I was a parrot, but… now I am a myna (mai means ‘I’, and -na means no).” The teacher smiled.
A little boy said, “I learned that we cannot find God without a Satguru.” The teacher said, “No! It’s wrong. You can find God without a Satguru! Now, listen carefully. You have books in your house. You can read from the books as well. In today’s era, you can surf the internet. Then, why do you go to school or listen to your school teacher? As you can understand the bookish knowledge in the presence of a teacher similarly, a Satguru makes you understand the eternal knowledge.”
Another boy said, “I learned that we should have faith in Guruji, we shall surely realize the Self.” The teacher appreciated it.
A mother said, “Earlier, I used to go to the Gurudwara and just behaved superficially, but now I can understand the potency of Vaheguruji’s name.”
A lady asked, “You ask us to neither remark falsely nor praise others. Can you guide me on how to practice this?” The teacher said, “No, praise others. It is the praise of Allah. The mirror shines and becomes divine, as we praise others. But, don’t praise just for the sake of formality. Don’t praise yourselves.” The lady said, “Won’t they become egoistic?” The teacher said, “You do your job. God is there to wash their ego. There is a line in Gita. Satyam Bruvat Priyam Bruvat. Speak the truth which is adored… There is nothing as ‘other.'”
A mother said, “I received initiation in my youth. But, now I can decipher the true sense of life.” Another mother said, “I cannot place pieces of evidence for proving the glories of Guruji but I can see the changes in my life.”
Someone said, “I felt an unusual affinity for Guruji before the initiation.” The teacher smiled and asked, “On what grounds, did you assess Guruji‘s potential?” The person replied, “Since the date of initiation, I have attained positive outcomes in all faces and phases of life. I cannot assess it. It is a personal outlook on life. As it is quite common for us to remember God in grief, still I have found peace at his divine feet in all stages of life. I have listened to one of Guruji’s discourses. He had said that we have to assess the Guru in all parameters and drink water after filtering it.” The teacher laughed.
A girl said, “I cannot place evidence for proving the divine potency, but I know that whatever I am today is because of him.”
A mother said I joined the session lately. But, I realized the meaning of the thought. How shall I find a Guru?” The teacher said, “Do you have a thirst? This thirst is like, ‘Oh! the children are grown-ups now, and life is appearing stagnant. How to live further?’.” The mother denied it, “It’s not true”. The teacher said, “Well! These days, we are discussing thoughts other than stories. This is to make us progress further on the path of spirituality. Our pots for receiving the knowledge are positioned correctly but have many holes. These tiny quotes shall fill the gaps. It is not easy to get rid of past samskaras. We have got human births, then we know that God exists and we can find him. Then, many of us received the initiation. Then, we have to address the factors which are leaving loopholes in our progress. Often we feel the bliss but it’s temporary. To make it permanent, our nature becomes selfless. Giving is a virtue. Forgiveness is the biggest virtue. Forgetting it is the next big virtue. There is a big difference between a good human and a spiritual human. As the veils unveil, light shines. Many good people in the world are great philanthropists. But, they haven’t realized the self. When the tendency of ‘good’ as well as ‘human’ disappears, Guru appears in life. Selflessness yields Satguru’s guidance. The soul is divine, then aren’t the mind and the body divine? After surrendering, you realize that the body, mind, and soul are divine.”
सतगुरु बिना ईश्वर नहीं मिलते
सत्र के दौरान, किसी ने कहा, “गुरुजी से मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करने के बाद, मुझे जीवन का सार समझ में आने लगा। बचपन से ही, मैंने अपने घर में एक अनुष्ठान के रूप में कई श्लोकों को सीखा। मैंने उन्हें एक तोते की तरह उच्चारित करना सीखा। अगर मैं गत सात साल का निरीक्षण करूँ, मैंने पाया कि मेरा जन्म केवल सात साल पहले हुआ था। गुरु जब भौतिक शरीर में न हों तो अलग बात होती है। जब हमें किसी ऐसे आत्म ज्ञानी व्यक्ति से मार्गदर्शन मिले जो शरीर में रहते हुए हमें मार्गदर्शन दे तो प्रगति अधिक तेज़ी से होती है।” एक भगिनी ने कहा, “हाँ! यह बहुत सरल है। आपके कथन में बहस करने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं है। यह परम सत्य है। मैं पहले तोता थी, लेकिन … अब मैं एक मैना हूँ (मै का अर्थ है ‘मैं’, और – ना का मतलब नहीं)।” टीचर मुस्करायीं।
एक छोटे लड़के ने कहा, “मैंने सीखा है कि हम बिना सतगुरु के ईश्वर को नहीं पा सकते।” टीचर ने कहा, “नहीं! यह गलत है। आप बिना सतगुरु के भगवान को पा सकते हैं! अब ध्यान से सुनो। तुम्हारे घर में किताबें हैं। तुम किताबों से भी पढ़ सकते हैं। आज के दौर में तुम इंटरनेट पर देख सकते हो। फिर तुम स्कूल क्यों जाते हो या अपने स्कूल के शिक्षक की बात सुनते हो? जैसे आप एक शिक्षक की उपस्थिति में किताबी ज्ञान को समझ सकते हैं, उसी तरह एक सतगुरु आपको शाश्वत ज्ञान का बोध कराते हैं।
दूसरे लड़के ने कहा, “मैंने सीखा है कि हमें गुरुजी पर विश्वास रखना चाहिए, हम निश्चित रूप से स्वयं को महसूस करेंगे।” टीचर ने इसकी सराहना की।
एक माँ ने कहा, “पहले मैं गुरुद्वारे जाती थी और केवल सतही व्यवहार करती थी, लेकिन अब मैं वाहेगुरुजी के नाम की शक्ति को समझ सकती हूँ।”
एक भगिनी ने पूछा, “आप हमसे कहते हैं कि न तो झूठ बोलो और न ही दूसरों की प्रशंसा करो। क्या आप मुझे बता सकती हैं कि इसका अभ्यास कैसे करें?” टीचर ने कहा, “नहीं, दूसरों की प्रशंसा करो। यह अल्लाह की प्रशंसा है। दर्पण चमकता है और दिव्य हो जाता है, जैसे हम दूसरों की प्रशंसा करते हैं। लेकिन, केवल औपचारिकता के लिए प्रशंसा मत करो। अपनी प्रशंसा मत करो।” भगिनी ने कहा, “क्या वे अहंकारी नहीं होंगे?” टीचर ने कहा, “तुम अपना काम करो। भगवान उनके अहंकार को धोने के लिए हैं। गीता में एक पंक्ति है। सत्यम् ब्रुवत प्रियम् ब्रुवत। सत्य बोलो जो प्रिय है … दूसरा कोई नहीं है।”
एक माँ ने कहा, “मैंने अपनी युवावस्था में दीक्षा प्राप्त की थी। लेकिन, अब मैं जीवन का सही अर्थ समझ सकती हूँ।” एक और माँ ने कहा, “मैं गुरुजी की महिमा को साबित करने के लिए सबूत के टुकड़े नहीं रख सकती हूँ लेकिन मैं अपने जीवन में बदलाव देख सकती हूँ।”
किसी ने कहा, “दीक्षा से पहले मुझे गुरुजी के लिए एक असामान्य आत्मीयता महसूस हुई।” टीचर मुस्करायीं और पूछा, “किस आधार पर आपने गुरुजी की क्षमता का आकलन किया?” उस व्यक्ति ने उत्तर दिया, “दीक्षा की तारीख से, मैंने जीवन के सभी चेहरों और चरणों में सकारात्मक परिणाम प्राप्त किए हैं। मैं इसका आकलन नहीं कर सकता। यह जीवन पर एक व्यक्तिगत दृष्टिकोण है। जैसा कि हमारे लिए दुख में भगवान को याद करना काफी आम है, फिर भी मैंने जीवन के हर चरण में उनके दिव्य चरणों में शांति पाई है। मैंने गुरुजी के एक प्रवचन को सुना है। उन्होंने कहा था कि हमें गुरु को सभी मापदंडों पर आंकना है और पानी को छानकर पीना है।” टीचर हंसीं।
एक लड़की ने कहा, “मैं ईश्वरीय शक्ति को साबित करने के लिए सबूत नहीं दे सकती, लेकिन मैं जानती हूं कि आज मैं जो कुछ भी हूं, उन्हीं की वजह से हूं।”
एक मां ने कहा कि मैं हाल ही में सत्र में शामिल हुई हूं। लेकिन, मुझे विचार का अर्थ समझ में आया। मुझे गुरु कैसे मिलेंगे?” टीचर ने कहा, “क्या तुम्हें प्यास लगी है? यह प्यास ऐसी है, ‘अरे! बच्चे अब बड़े हो गए हैं और जीवन ठहर सा गया है। आगे कैसे जियेंगे?” मां ने मना कर दिया, “ऐसा नहीं है”। टीचर ने कहा, ‘अच्छा! इन दिनों हम कहानियों के अलावा विचारों पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं। यह हमें अध्यात्म के पथ पर आगे बढ़ने के लिए है। ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिए हमारे घड़े सही स्थिति में हैं लेकिन उनमें कई छेद हैं। ये छोटे उद्धरण अंतराल को भर देंगे। पुराने संस्कारों से छुटकारा पाना आसान नहीं है। हमें मानव जन्म मिला है, तब हम जानते हैं कि ईश्वर है और हम उसे पा सकते हैं। फिर, हममें से कई लोगों ने दीक्षा प्राप्त की। फिर, हमें उन कारकों को दूर करना होगा जो हमारी प्रगति में कमियां छोड़ रहे हैं। अक्सर हम आनंद को महसूस करते हैं लेकिन यह अस्थायी होता है। इसे स्थायी बनाने के लिए हमारा स्वभाव निःस्वार्थ हो जाता है। देना पुण्य है। क्षमा सबसे बड़ा गुण है। इसे भूलना अगला बड़ा गुण है। एक अच्छे इंसान और एक आध्यात्मिक इंसान के बीच एक बड़ा अंतर है। जैसे ही पर्दा खुलता है, प्रकाश चमकता है। दुनिया में कई अच्छे लोग महान परोपकारी हैं। लेकिन, उन्होंने स्वयं को महसूस नहीं किया है। जब ‘अच्छे’ के साथ-साथ ‘मानव’ की प्रवृत्ति भी मिट जाती है, तो जीवन में गुरु प्रकट हो जाते हैं। निस्वार्थता से सतगुरु का मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त होता है। आत्मा दिव्य है, तो क्या मन और शरीर दिव्य नहीं हैं? समर्पण करने के बाद, आप महसूस करते हैं कि शरीर, मन और आत्मा दिव्य हैं।”
