A hunter one day caught a very small bird in his net. The little bird started talking to that hunter. The bird said, “I am a very little bird. You must have eaten big birds in your lifetime. I will not be able to fill your stomach, and even if you sell me something, you will not get much money. If you let me go, I will give you three counsels with will change your life.”
The hunter was in a good mood; he thought, “Let’s see what the bird will tell.” The hunter said, “You will have to tell the first counsel while I am holding you.” The bird said, “Ok.” As soon as the hunter took the bird in his hand, the bird said, “Never ever believe in false pronunciations.”
As soon as the hunter opened his hand, the bird flew and sat on the tree. It was now time for second opinions. The bird said, “Never regret your past.” At the same time, she also says, “I have half a kilogram of golden egg inside of me.”
Hearing this, the hunter becomes sad and starts thinking, “She has a golden egg inside of her; let her fly away.” Immediately the bird says, “You are an idiot. Firstly, my weight is 50 grams; how can I have this heavy egg in me? I told you not to believe in false pronunciations. Secondly, let’s assume I have a golden egg inside. Still, why are you regretting your past?”
The hunter came back to his senses and said, “What is the third counsel?” The bird flew away, saying, “You didn’t follow my first two counsels; why should I tell you the third one?”

एक दिन एक शिकारी ने एक बहुत छोटी सी चिड़िया को अपने जाल में फँसा लिया। नन्ही चिड़िया उस शिकारी से बातें करने लगी। चिड़िया ने कहा, “मैं बहुत छोटी चिड़िया हूँ। तुमने अपने जीवन में बड़े-बड़े पक्षी खाए होंगे। मैं तुम्हारा पेट नहीं भर पाऊँगी, और अगर तुम मुझे कुछ बेच भी दोगे, तो भी तुम्हें बहुत पैसा नहीं मिलेगा। मुझे जाओ, मैं तुम्हें तीन सलाह दूंगा जिससे तुम्हारा जीवन बदल जाएगा।”
शिकारी अच्छे मूड में था; उसने सोचा, “चलो देखते हैं कि चिड़िया क्या बताएगी।” शिकारी ने कहा, “जब तक मैं तुम्हें पकड़े हुए हूँ, तुम्हें पहली सलाह देनी होगी।” चिड़िया ने कहा, “ठीक है।” जैसे ही शिकारी ने पक्षी को अपने हाथ में लिया, पक्षी ने कहा, “गलत उच्चारण पर कभी विश्वास न करें।”
जैसे ही शिकारी ने हाथ खोला चिड़िया उड़ कर पेड़ पर जा बैठी। अब दूसरी राय का समय था। चिड़िया ने कहा, “अपने अतीत पर कभी पछतावा मत करो।” साथ ही वह यह भी कहती हैं, ”मेरे अंदर आधा किलो सोने का अंडा है.”
यह सुनकर शिकारी उदास हो जाता है और सोचने लगता है, “इसके अंदर एक सोने का अंडा है, इसे उड़ने दो।” तुरंत चिड़िया कहती है, “तुम बेवकूफ हो। पहले तो मेरा वजन 50 ग्राम है; मेरे अंदर इतना भारी अंडा कैसे हो सकता है? मैंने तुमसे कहा था कि झूठे उच्चारणों पर विश्वास मत करो। दूसरी बात, मान लेते हैं कि मेरे अंदर एक सुनहरा अंडा है। फिर भी, तुम अपने अतीत पर क्यों पछता रहे हो?”
शिकारी अपने होश में आया और बोला, “तीसरा मंत्र क्या है?” चिड़िया यह कहते हुए उड़ गई, “तुमने मेरी पहली दो सलाहों का पालन नहीं किया, मैं तुम्हें तीसरा क्यों बताऊँ?”
