Ali Wali – Story of Hazrat Ali

“Shah-e-Mardan Sher-e-Yazdan Quwat-e-Parwardigar Lafata Ila Ali La Saif Ila Zulfiqar”

Suppose you imagine Shiv Ji, and you see Trishul in his hand; for Hanuman Ji, you imagine a mace; for Ram Ji, you imagine a bow; for Krishna Ji, you imagine Sudarshan Chakra; similarly, for Ali, you imagine a sword in his hand.

Hazrat Ali was born in the Holy Kaaba. No one before or after him was ever born in the Kaaba. When Ali opened his eyes for the first time, he saw Prophet Mohammed in front of him, and he smiled. Whenever Ali used to walk, it was so gentle that even Mother Earth used to smile. He used to walk with such weightlessness that not even an ant would get hurt.

As the teacher was telling the story, she asked, “All the gods that I asked you to imagine have some sort of weapon in their arms, but why?” “For justice and righteousness, for people to follow the right path,” the teacher replied. All these gods never want to fight, but they must so that people follow the right path.”

Continuing the story, one day a lot of people gathered around the prophet, whom they did not believe in.] Ali was standing in front of the prophet to protect him. In this whole commotion, one of the people in front of Ali spits on him. Now, Hazrat Ali was an exemplary swordsman and not one to back out. However, as soon as the person spit on him, Ali put his famed sword “Zulfiqar” down and raised his arms. He said, “I don’t want to fight you.” The person got intrigued and asked why he did not want to fight. Ali responded that our fight up to this point had not been personal; we were not personal enemies; but when you spit on me, and now if I fight you, it will become personal, which I do not want. I was just trying to stop you because you were doing something wrong. Now if I fight, you will think that I am taking revenge because you spit on me, and that was never the intention. Hearing this, that person, along with the entire clan, was shocked. They apologised to Hazrat Ali and became believers in the prophet.

Hazrat Ali used to live like Shiva ji (Aparigraha), a concept in which possessions should include only what is necessary at a particular stage in one’s life. Once upon a time, there was someone who needed some money urgently, and he came to Hazrat Ali for help. Ali did not have any money at the time, so he gave them his two sons, Hussain and Hassan (who were 8 and 10 years old at the time). Ali said, “Take my sons and give them to the King of the Land, and he will give you money in lieu of my sons.” When I have that much money, I will get my sons back from the king. Even Bibi Fatima, the mother of those children, agreed. This is how he managed his home. If anyone would come for food at their home, Ali would somehow manage to give something, even though his own family would be starving. He never complained to God. Hence, he is called “Fakir.”

Hazrat Ali also knew when and how he would die. Still, early in the morning, he woke up and went to the Masjid for his morning prayers. He also woke up the person who had come to kill him and was sleeping outside the mosque to do Namaaz. As Ali was praying, the person who had come to kill him slit his throat. Now, Ali did not die, even though there was blood everywhere. He stood up and called his sons, Hassan and Hussain. He said to them, “Don’t take revenge on him; he does not know what he has done.” “I am forgiving him; you also forgive him.”

This is what Islam is: complete submission to the divine. There is no place for revenge.

After this, Ali was alive for the next two days. His throat was cut on the 19th of Ramadan, and on the 21st of Ramadan, he became one with God. This is the story of Hazrat Ali, a man who lived Islam and the Quran. This is what the Quran teaches us: to live for others and die without any regret or grudge.

हजरत अली शिव जी (अपरिग्रह) की तरह रहते थे, एक ऐसी अवधारणा जिसमें संपत्ति में केवल वही शामिल होना चाहिए जो किसी के जीवन में किसी विशेष स्तर पर आवश्यक हो। एक बार की बात है, किसी को पैसों की सख्त जरूरत थी, और वह मदद के लिए हजरत अली के पास आया। उस समय अली के पास पैसे नहीं थे, इसलिए उसने उन्हें अपने दो बेटे, हुसैन और हसन (जो उस समय 8 और 10 साल के थे) दे दिए। अली ने कहा, “मेरे पुत्रों को ले जाओ और उन्हें देश के राजा को दे दो, और वह मेरे पुत्रों के बदले तुम्हें धन देगा।” जब मेरे पास इतना धन होगा, तब मैं राजा के पास से अपने पुत्रों को वापस ले लूंगा। यहां तक ​​कि उन बच्चों की मां बीबी फातिमा ने भी हामी भर दी। इसी से उन्होंने अपना घर चलाया। उनके घर कोई खाना खाने आता तो अली कैसे-कैसे कुछ दे पाता, भले ही उसका अपना परिवार भूखों मर रहा हो। उसने कभी भगवान से शिकायत नहीं की। इसलिए उन्हें “फकीर” कहा जाता है।

हजरत अली भी जानते थे कि उनकी मृत्यु कब और कैसे होगी। फिर भी, वह सुबह जल्दी उठे और सुबह की नमाज़ के लिए मस्जिद गए। उसने उस व्यक्ति को भी जगाया जो उसे मारने आया था और नमाज पढ़ने के लिए मस्जिद के बाहर सो रहा था। जब अली प्रार्थना कर रहा था, उसे मारने आए व्यक्ति ने उसका गला काट दिया। अब, अली नहीं मरा, भले ही हर जगह खून था। उसने खड़े होकर अपने पुत्रों हसन और हुसैन को बुलाया। उस ने उन से कहा, उस से पलटा न लेना; वह नहीं जानता कि उस ने क्या किया है। “मैं उसे क्षमा कर रहा हूं; तुम भी उसे क्षमा कर दो।”

इस्लाम यही हैः परमात्मा के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण। बदला लेने के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है।

इसके बाद अगले दो दिनों तक अली जिंदा रहा। रमजान की 19 तारीख को उनका गला काट दिया गया और रमजान की 21 तारीख को वह खुदा से एकाकार हो गए। यह इस्लाम और कुरान को जीने वाले शख्स हजरत अली की कहानी है। कुरान हमें यही सिखाता है: दूसरों के लिए जीना और बिना किसी पछतावे या द्वेष के मरना।
