Whenever the man went to any place, people ridiculed him, saying, “the one-eyed clown has come.” He felt embarrassed. Whenever his neighbors went anywhere, people felt sympathy for them and thus helped them. The man realized, “I dug the trench for them, and I have fallen into it now.”
Moral: We should never commit and even think wrong for others. We are no one to observe and judge others. Lord loves us seventy times a mother’s love. He knows how to take care of his children. A mother sees if her child is utilizing the resources in virtuous ways or misusing them. Similarly, Lord puts us into tests to see the way we utilize every breath of our life. Lord told the person about the condition. Lord can grant our wishes incessantly. But, he wants us to ask him for himself. If the man asked Lord for Lord himself, even his neighbors would have realized the Self. We also pester Lord for our petty needs and leave the true aim of life. We need to develop a personal relationship with Lord. He is ours, and we are his. Unconditional love is important. Though the man penanced and saw Lord, he lacked love. If we see Lord in every individual, we shall never think about duality. There is nothing as two. Our neighbors and we are one.
