A little girl narrated a beautiful story…
There was a boy named Ben. His family was having tea at the table. Soon, his little sister received a note from the school. The paper said that the school was about to organize a competition, where the children had to bring their pets. Ben enrolled in the competition with his hamster. He took the written permission from his parents and signed in to the competition. He was teaching skateboarding to the hamster. Ben placed food at a certain distance, and the hamster walked towards it, finally learning skateboarding.
In the competition, even Ben’s parents were in the school. Ben’s father began filming the event, but his mother denied it as that could infiltrate the privacy. Ben and Stinky, the hamster, appeared behind the stage. Before the event could begin, the hamster escaped the cage. All his friends laughed as he lost his hamster. His parents worked hard to search for Stinky but in vain. They consoled Ben and assured him that they would search for it tomorrow.
The next morning, Dad and Ben went into the garden and found it. They found it near a hole, as Stinky had built a tunnel from the school to their house. Ben placed Stinky in the cage and was happy.
- “Never cage the animals. Animals have done no sin, but we cage them. If someone closes you in the bathroom and assures you to give you food timely, you will die. Similarly, those animals feel.”
- Someone said, “The hamster could get liberation as he had escaped the cage, and some animal might have eaten him. But, it returned to the house out of greed for free food. We do the same thing. The hamster followed the food out of greed; similarly, we follow the world. We should not do it.” The teacher nodded.
- Someone said, “If we give our strings of life in God’s hands and let him drive us, we will remain within the boundaries of virtues and finally merge with him. But, if we hold the strings, then we will escape the boundaries and go astray.” The teacher said, “The above-mentioned feedback and this one pivot on the same notion but indicate opposite views. All have different perspectives. We should accept them equally.”
- The girl’s mother said, “I taught her this story six to eight months ago. But I didn’t know that she remembered it. I learned that I should not only teach the lessons to the children but also focus on the morals the children understand. As the feedback came along the session, I felt that my brain was blossoming like a rose with many petals. I never thought that such a simple story could yield so many morals.” The teacher said, “There are many ways, but the destination is one. People often talk absurdly to me, but soon the conversation ends with God. Learn confidence from the child. Being a seven-year-old girl, she narrated the story with ease.”

Tulsi Das Ji went to Kabir Das Ji’s house. Kabir Das Ji was not at home. Tulsi Das Ji lay down on the bed and fell asleep. By the time Kabir Das Ji returned, it was the time of sandhya, the Godhuli Bela. Kabir Das Ji found him snoring and enjoying life. Kabir Das Ji was knowing why he was asleep, but the people who came to Kabir Das Ji’s hut were unaware. Kabir Das Ji didn’t disturb him and continued his chores. When Tulsi Das Ji woke up, people asked him, “What kind of saint you are? You are asleep during the sandhya? In Islam, people perform Namaz of Maghrib, and others do Sandhya Aarti.” Tulsi Das Ji replied, “Praying or cherishing specific times of the day is for those who do not have faith in God. I believe that Once I have taken the Name, I know that he is with me. Irrespective of my actions; I may sleep or eat, it is Him.”
- “These words emerged when Tulsi Das Ji realized the Self and went beyond time and space. Those who are beyond these gross borders, need not cherish time. It is Him in everything. The people who judged Tulsi Das Ji were Sadhak and needed to cherish time. If you think that you have realized it and you can let go of the time and sleep, then you will suffer. Follow the words of the Guruji, not his actions, because he does everything with a reason.”
- Someone asked, “You said that Tulsi Das Ji and Kabir Das Ji belonged to the same era, and they met each other. Wasn’t there any casteism?” The teacher explained, “When they met each other, Kabir Das Ji had overcome all oppositions from the high-caste people. We are aware that Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev appeared before all the educated pandits of Kashi and asked them to meet Kabir Das Ji. Even Tulsi Das Ji had written Ram Charit Manas by that time. They were in the era when Akbar, the great ruled India. That was the era where the notion of unity in all religions persisted. Even he captured Tulsi Das Ji to test if Rama really existed. All monkeys of the province created a menace during that time (Hanuman Ji!). The extent to which I know the history of India, after Rama Raj, Akbar’s rule was the one where there was equality in all religions. Even Guru Nanak Ji belonged to the same era. As consequent coronations in the series of ten Gurus of Sikhism continued, the time saw conflicts in the name of religion and politics. Even today, India is in conflict. The moral of non-judgment is reflected in this story. People are aware that these are the days of Ramzaan. They ask each other if they are fasting. Why are you bothered if they fast or not? If you are fasting, then be happy. Why do you want to interfere in others’ businesses?”
एक छोटी सी बच्ची ने एक खूबसूरत कहानी सुनाई…
बेन नाम का एक लड़का था। उसका परिवार टेबल पर चाय पी रहा था। जल्द ही, उसकी छोटी बहन को स्कूल से एक नोट मिला। नोट में लिखा था कि स्कूल एक प्रतियोगिता आयोजित करने वाला था, जहां बच्चों को अपने पालतू जानवरों को लाना था। बेन ने अपने सफ़ेद चूहे के साथ प्रतियोगिता में दाखिला लिया। उसने अपने माता-पिता से लिखित अनुमति ली और प्रतियोगिता में प्रवेश किया। वह सफ़ेद चूहे को स्केटबोर्डिंग सिखा रहा था। बेन ने एक निश्चित दूरी पर भोजन रखा, और चूहा उसकी ओर चल पड़ता था, अंत में स्केटबोर्डिंग चूहे ने सकते बोर्डिंग सीख ली।
प्रतियोगिता के दिन बेन के माता-पिता भी स्कूल में थे। बेन के पिता ने घटना का फिल्मांकन शुरू किया, लेकिन बेन की मां ने इससे इनकार किया क्योंकि इससे गोपनीयता में घुसपैठ हो सकती थी। बेन और स्टिंकी, वह चूहा, मंच के पीछे दिखाई दिए। घटना शुरू होने से पहले, चूहा पिंजरे से भाग गया। अपने चूहे को खोते ही उसके सभी दोस्त हँस पड़े। उसके माता-पिता ने स्टिंकी को खोजने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत की लेकिन व्यर्थ हुई। उन्होंने बेन को सांत्वना दी और उसे आश्वासन दिया कि वे कल उसकी तलाश करेंगे। वे घर चले गए।
अगली सुबह, पिताजी और बेन बगीचे में गए और उसे खोज लिया। उन्होंने स्टिन्की को एक छेद के पास पाया, क्योंकि स्टिंकी ने स्कूल से उनके घर तक एक सुरंग बनाई थी। बेन ने स्टिंकी को पिंजरे में रखा और खुश हो गया।
- “जानवरों को कभी पिंजरे में मत डालो। जानवरों ने कोई पाप नहीं किया है, लेकिन हम उन्हें पिंजरे में बंद कर देते हैं। अगर कोई आपको बाथरूम में बंद कर देता है और आपको समय पर भोजन देने का आश्वासन देता है, तो आप मर जाएंगे। इसी तरह, उन जानवरों को लगता है।”
- किसी ने कहा, “पिंजरे से बच निकलने के कारण चूहे को मुक्ति मिल सकती थी, और हो सकता है कि किसी जानवर ने उसे खा लिया होता। लेकिन, वह मुफ्त भोजन के लालच में घर लौट आया। हम वही काम करते हैं। चूहे ने भोजन का पीछा किया। लालच से, इसी तरह, हम दुनिया का पीछा करते हैं। हमें ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए।” टीचर ने सिर हिलाया।
- किसी ने कहा, “अगर हम अपने जीवन की डोर भगवान के हाथों में देते हैं और उन्हें हमें चलाने देते हैं, तो हम सद्गुणों की सीमाओं में रहेंगे और अंत में उनके साथ विलीन हो जाएंगे। लेकिन, अगर हम डोर पकड़ेंगे, तो हम सीमाओं से बाहर चले जाएंगे।” टीचर ने कहा, “उपरोक्त प्रतिक्रिया और यह एक ही धारणा पर आधारित हैं लेकिन विपरीत मत वाली हैं। सभी के अलग-अलग दृष्टिकोण हैं। हमें उन्हें समान रूप से स्वीकार करना चाहिए।”
- लड़की की मां ने कहा, “मैंने उसे छह से आठ महीने पहले यह कहानी सिखाई थी। लेकिन मुझे नहीं पता था कि उसे यह याद है। मैंने सीखा कि मुझे न केवल बच्चों को पाठ पढ़ाना चाहिए बल्कि बच्चों को जो नैतिकता समझ में आती है, उस पर भी ध्यान देना चाहिए। जैसे ही सत्र में फीडबैक आये, मुझे लगा कि मेरा मस्तिष्क कई पंखुड़ियों वाले गुलाब की तरह खिल रहा है। मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि इतनी सरल कहानी इतनी नैतिकता पैदा कर सकती है।” टीचर ने कहा, “कई तरीके हैं, लेकिन मंजिल एक है। लोग अक्सर मुझसे बेहूदी बातें करते हैं, लेकिन जल्द ही भगवान पर ही बात ख़त्म होती है। बच्चे से आत्मविश्वास सीखो। सात साल की लड़की होने के नाते, उसने कहानी आसानी से सुनाई।”
टीचर ने एक और कहानी जोड़ी…
तुलसी दास जी कबीर दास जी के घर गए। कबीर दास जी घर पर नहीं थे। तुलसीदास जी बिस्तर पर लेट गए और सो गए। जब कबीर दास जी लौटे, तब संध्या का समय था, गोधुली बेला। कबीर दास जी ने उन्हें खर्राटे लेते और जीवन का आनंद लेते हुए पाया। कबीर दास जी जान रहे थे कि वे क्यों सो रहे हैं, लेकिन कबीर दास जी की कुटिया पर आने वाले लोग अनजान थे। कबीर दास जी ने उन्हें परेशान नहीं किया और अपना काम जारी रखा। जब तुलसी दास जी उठे तो लोगों ने उनसे पूछा, “आप किस तरह के संत हैं? आप संध्या के दौरान सो रहे हैं? इस्लाम में, लोग मग़रिब की नमाज़ करते हैं, और अन्य लोग संध्या आरती करते हैं।” तुलसी दास जी ने उत्तर दिया, “प्रार्थना या दिन के विशिष्ट समय को पालना उनके लिए है जो ईश्वर पर विश्वास नहीं रखते हैं। मेरा मानना है कि एक बार नाम लेने के बाद, मुझे पता है कि वह मेरे साथ हैं। मेरे कार्यों के बावजूद; मैं सोऊँ या खाऊं, वह वही हैं।”
- “ये शब्द तब सामने आए जब तुलसी दास जी ने आत्मा से एक हो गए और समय और स्थान से परे चले गए। जो इन स्थूल सीमाओं से परे हैं, उन्हें समय को पालने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। वे सब कुछ में हैं। तुलसी दास जी को जज करने वाले लोग साधक थे और उन्हें समय संभालने की जरूरत थी। अगर आपको लगता है कि आपने ईश्वर को पालिया है और आप समय को छोड़ कर सो सकते हैं, तो आप भोगेंगे। गुरुजी के शब्दों का पालन करें, उनके कार्यों का नहीं, क्योंकि वे सब कुछ एक कारण से करते हैं।”
- किसी ने पूछा, “आपने कहा था कि तुलसी दास जी और कबीर दास जी समकालीन थे, और वे एक-दूसरे से मिले थे। क्या तब कोई जातिवाद नहीं था?” टीचर ने समझाया, “जब वे एक-दूसरे से मिले, तो कबीर दास जी ने उच्च जाति के लोगों के सभी विरोधों से हट चुके थे। हम जानते हैं कि काशी विश्वनाथ महादेव काशी के सभी शिक्षित पंडितों के सामने प्रकट हुए और उन्हें कबीर दास जी से मिलने के लिए कहा। यहां तक कि तुलसी दास जी उस समय तक रामचरित मानस लिख चुके थे। वे उस युग में थे जब अकबर, महान भारत पर शासन कर रहा था। यही वह युग था जहाँ सभी धर्मों में एकता की धारणा कायम थी। यहाँ तक कि अकबर ने तुलसी दास जी को भी यह परखने के लिए पकड़ लिया था कि क्या राम वास्तव में हैं । उस दौरान प्रांत के सभी बंदरों ने एक खतरा पैदा किया (हनुमान जी!)। मैं भारत के इतिहास को जहां तक जानती हूं, राम राज के बाद, अकबर का शासन वह था जहां सभी धर्मों में समानता थी। यहां तक कि गुरु नानक भी जी उस ही युग के थे। बाद में सिख धर्म के दस गुरुओं की श्रृंखला में राज्याभिषेक जारी रहा, उस समय धर्म और राजनीति के नाम पर संघर्ष देखा गया। आज भी भारत संघर्ष में है। जज न करने की शिक्षा इस कहानी से समझनी चाहिए। लोग जानते हैं कि ये रमज़ान के दिन हैं। वे एक दूसरे से पूछते हैं कि क्या वे उपवास कर रहे हैं। वे उपवास करते हैं या नहीं, आप परेशान क्यों हैं? अगर आप व्रत कर रहे हैं तो खुश रहें। आप दूसरों के कारोबार में दखल क्यों देना चाहते हैं?”
