There was an old woman who used to live alone in a village. She was a nice person. The whole village used to consider her their grandmother. She was a very contented woman. She never complained about anything.
She used to collect cow dung and make cow dung cakes from it. By selling cow dung cake, what she earned was used for living. One day, a person comes and steals her cowdung cakes. As these cow dung cakes were the source of her livelihood, she decided to go to the head of the village for help. She asks the head of the village, “Will you help me?” He said, “But how will you identify which are your cow dung cakes?” She said, “First identify the thief, and then I will show you.”
They find the thief and ask him to bring all the cow dung cake he has. The head of the village asked her to identify which one belonged to her. She takes one cow dung cake, brings it close to her ear, tries to listen to something, and puts it aside. She repeated the same process with all the cow dung cakes and created two different piles. She says, “Cow dung cakes on this pile belong to me.” All the villagers were amazed at how she could identify the similar-looking cow dung cakes.
The head of the village asked, “How did you identify that this belongs to you?” She lifted one from her pile, gave it to the head of the village, and asked him to listen. When he listened carefully, he could hear the Ram Naam sound coming out of it.
While doing every task, she repeated Ram Naam and she was Ram May. Ram Ko Bhaje So Ram Hi Hoye.

A lady said, “The intensity and love while repeating Naam Jap were to the extent that the Ram Naam started coming from cow dung cake. You always tell us to keep repeating Naam, and it will charge even the wall around us. I am practicing it, and I can see the difference. I understood the importance of Naam Jap.” Teacher said, “Tell me one thing. Ram Naam was coming from her cow dung cakes. You said you do Naam Jap. Do you get charged by it or not? You do one thing. Try not to repeat Naam, even within you. Did the name still come from within or not? Do it right now.” The lady said, “Still, Radhe, Radhe keeps on coming.” Teacher said, “This human body is created by Bhagwan, so the voice also comes out of our body. If your mind is concentrated on your soul, the Naam will keep coming. If you think you are different from Bhagwan, you will be at a loss. Have faith that Bhagwan is within you, and slowly you will become that. Do this practice.”
A boy said, “We have to keep Bhagwan in front in every situation. Even if we forget to repeat his name, we are still on his lap, and he will make us feel his presence. Again, we will start repeating his name.” Teacher said, “It means do not let your battery get discharged. Good. If you can charge walls, why can’t you charge yourself?”
A girl said, “First you do Naam Jap consciously, and then it starts happening unconsciously. When you are unable to do this practice, offering three flowers of surrender, thankfulness, and forgiveness will make it happen.” Teacher said, “I have told you to do all three Naam Jap, studies, and other works simultaneously. How were you able to do it? Tell us about your hardships. Your struggle when you have to study and do Naam Jap together.” The girl said, “I always study by speaking loudly. While studying, I had to take Naam and read what was written in the books simultaneously. Things used to get entangled. In place of reading the sentence, Naam Jap used to come out. You ask me to practice that my tongue should not stop, irrespective of whatever I do. I had to do Naam Jap out loud and study how will it happen. I kept doing the practice and had the obedience that whatever was being told to me, I had to do it. How am I supposed to do all these things simultaneously? You have asked us to take a pause. I had to take that pause repeatedly, and a time came when I was taking so much pause that I was not getting time to study. When we take pause, we can feel our heartbeat, and when Naam Jap gets in sync of our heartbeat, then Naam Jap happens automatically, and you can do your outside work. It might seem magical, but it will happen.” Teacher said, “See, this is a real-life struggle. She explained it so nicely. In the beginning, she used to say how I was supposed to do it. Until you do it, you will not understand it. Only asking questions will not help you. Do the practice, and if problems come, they will be sorted out. If Bhagwan has given the problem, he has already kept the solution ready. While practicing, whatever problem arises will take you to another level where you have more Anand. You will understand all of these were there because of my thoughts. When thoughts are not there, then there is no problem. Gradually, with every heartbeat, you can listen to Shiv, Shiv. When you can listen, you are getting charged.”
A lady said, “I have learned contentment from her. The villagers might be thinking that she is alone and sad. But she was so content that she thought no one was more content than me. Because she was with her Ram Ji twenty-four-seven. She didn’t care to become one with Ram Ji, nor did she need any worldly things. She was completely content in her life.” The teacher said, “In the sentence you said, she didn’t care to become one with Ram Ji, whether Ram Ji was there or not. In reality, she was completely content, which we should be. Why does this happen?” The lady said, “We have complete faith in Bhagwan. When you have faith, we become thankful for whatever we have.” Teacher said, “Can you define it in one word?” The lady said, “I think it is Faith.” Teacher said, “Sabri Ji.” The lady said, “Patience.” Teacher said, “No. Love. Let’s try to understand love. You love your children; it might be out of attachment, but you love them. You will not eat, but you will feed them. As a mother, you will do these. You might love that food, but you know your child likes it more, so you will say I am not willing to eat it today. This is love, and what you did out of love is what you gave. When we love Bhagwan, we give ourselves to him. After giving ourselves, we do not expect anything in return. There is nothing left to ask for. You give yourself without thinking Bhagwan is yours or not. When you have given yourself, the ‘I’ is not left, and there is no attachment or expectation. Will there be any wishes left after giving ourselves to Bhagwan? If there is any wish left, the love is not complete. If love is there, no expectation is left, and that is contentment. If love only gives and I am taking something in return, then that is business with Bhagwan. Love can only happen with God. Once you love Bhagwan, you will see him in everyone, and you will love everyone.”

एक गांव में एक बूढ़ी औरत अकेली रहती थी। वह एक अच्छी इंसान थीं। पूरा गांव उन्हें अपनी दादी मानता था। वह बहुत संतुष्ट महिला थी। उसने कभी किसी चीज की शिकायत नहीं की।
वह गाय के गोबर को इकट्ठा करती थी और उससे गोबर के उपले बनाती थी। गाय के गोबर का उपला बेचकर, वह जो कमाती थी उसका उपयोग जीवन यापन के लिए किया जाता था। एक दिन, एक व्यक्ति आता है और उसके गोबर के उपले चुराता है। चूंकि ये गोबर के उपले उनकी आजीविका का स्रोत थे, इसलिए उन्होंने मदद के लिए गांव के मुखिया के पास जाने का फैसला किया। वह गांव के मुखिया से पूछती है, “क्या आप मेरी मदद करेंगे?” उन्होंने कहा, “लेकिन आप कैसे पहचानेंगे कि आपके गोबर के उपले कौन से हैं?” उसने कहा, “पहले चोर को पहचानो, फिर मैं तुम्हें दिखाऊंगी।
वे चोर को ढूंढते हैं और उसे सभी उपले लाने के लिए कहते हैं। गांव के मुखिया ने उसे यह बताने के लिए कहा कि कौन सा उनका है। वह गोबर का एक उपला लेती हैं, उसे अपने कान के पास लाती हैं, कुछ सुनने की कोशिश करती हैं और उसे एक तरफ रख देती हैं। उन्होंने सभी उपलों के साथ एक ही प्रक्रिया को दोहराया और दो अलग-अलग ढेर बनाए। वह कहती हैं, “इस ढेर के उपले मेरे हैं। सभी ग्रामीण यह देखकर चकित थे कि वह एक जैसे दिखने वाले उपलों की पहचान कैसे कर सकती है।
गांव के मुखिया ने पूछा, “आपको कैसे पता चला कि यह आपका है?” उन्होंने अपने ढेर से एक उठाया, उसे गाँव के मुखिया को दिया, और उसे सुनने के लिए कहा। जब उसने ध्यान से सुना, तो वह उसमें से निकलने वाली राम नाम की ध्वनि सुन सकता था।
वह हर कार्य करते समय राम नाम का जाप करती थी और वह राम मय थी। राम को भाजे सो राम ही होए।

एक लड़की ने कहा, “आज की कहानी नाम जाप की पवित्रता के बारे में थी। अपने व्यवहार में मैं लगातार नाम जाप नहीं कर पा रहा हूं, लेकिन यहां आने से फर्क पड़ता है। दादी के परिवार में कोई सदस्य नहीं था, लेकिन वह इतनी समर्पित थी कि पूरा गांव उसे अपनी दादी की तरह प्यार करता था। दूसरी बात यह है कि आपको खुश रहने के लिए कितना कम चाहिए। गाय के गोबर का उपला बेचकर उसे जो कुछ भी मिला, उससे वह संतुष्ट थी। शिक्षक ने कहा, “भगवान हमेशा आपको जो कुछ भी चाहिए वह देता है; इसके अलावा, आप जो कुछ भी मांगते हैं वह केवल आपके लालच को बढ़ाएगा।
एक लड़के ने कहा, “मैंने सीखा है कि दादी इतनी संतुष्ट और आभारी थीं कि वह अपने हर काम में भगवान को याद रखने में सक्षम थीं। यदि आप आभारी नहीं हैं, तो आप इस तरह से अभ्यास नहीं कर पाएंगे।
एक महिला ने कहा, उन्होंने कहा, ‘नाम जाप दोहराते समय प्रेम और तीव्रता इस हद तक थी कि राम नाम गाय के गोबर के उपले से आने लगा. आप हमेशा हमें नाम दोहराते रहने के लिए कहते हैं, और यह हमारे चारों ओर की दीवार को भी चार्ज करेगा। मैं इसका अभ्यास कर रहा हूं, और मैं अंतर देख सकता हूं। मैं नाम जाप के महत्व को समझता हूं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “एक बात बताओ। राम नाम अपने गोबर के उपलों से आ रहा था। आपने कहा था कि आप नाम जाप करते हैं। आप इससे चार्ज लेते हैं या नहीं? आप एक काम कीजिए। कोशिश करो कि नाम न दोहराएं, अपने भीतर भी। नाम अभी भी भीतर से आया है या नहीं? इसे अभी करो। महिला ने कहा, “फिर भी राधे, राधे आते रहते हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, उन्होंने कहा, ‘इस मानव शरीर को भगवान ने बनाया है, इसलिए हमारे शरीर से आवाज भी निकलती है। यदि आपका मन आपकी आत्मा पर केंद्रित है, तो नाम आता रहेगा। अगर आपको लगता है कि आप भगवान से अलग हैं, तो आप नुकसान में होंगे। विश्वास रखो कि भगवान तुम्हारे भीतर है, और धीरे-धीरे तुम वह बन जाओगे। इस अभ्यास को करें।

एक महिला ने कहा, “मैंने उससे संतोष सीखा है। गांव वाले सोच रहे होंगे कि वह अकेली और दुखी है। लेकिन वह इतनी संतुष्ट थी कि उसे लगा कि कोई भी मुझसे ज्यादा संतुष्ट नहीं है। क्योंकि वह अपने राम जी के साथ सत्ताईस थी। उसे राम जी के साथ एक होने की परवाह नहीं थी, न ही उसे किसी सांसारिक चीज की आवश्यकता थी। वह अपने जीवन में पूरी तरह से संतुष्ट थी। शिक्षिका ने कहा, “तुमने जो वाक्य कहा, उसे राम जी के साथ एक होने की परवाह नहीं थी, चाहे राम जी हों या न हों। वास्तव में, वह पूरी तरह से संतुष्ट थी, जो हमें होना चाहिए। ऐसा क्यों होता है?” महिला ने कहा, “हमें भगवान पर पूरा भरोसा है। जब आपके पास विश्वास होता है, तो हमारे पास जो कुछ भी होता है उसके लिए हम आभारी हो जाते हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “क्या आप इसे एक शब्द में परिभाषित कर सकते हैं? महिला ने कहा, “मुझे लगता है कि यह विश्वास है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “साबरी जी। महिला ने कहा, “धैर्य। शिक्षक ने कहा, “नहीं। प्यार। प्यार को समझने की कोशिश करते हैं। आप अपने बच्चों से प्यार करते हैं; यह लगाव से बाहर हो सकता है, लेकिन आप उनसे प्यार करते हैं। तुम उन्हें नहीं खाओगे, परन्तु खिलाओगे। एक माँ के रूप में, आप ये करेंगे। आपको वह भोजन पसंद आ सकता है, लेकिन आप जानते हैं कि आपका बच्चा इसे अधिक पसंद करता है, इसलिए आप कहेंगे कि मैं आज इसे खाने को तैयार नहीं हूं। यह प्यार है, और आपने प्यार से जो किया वह आपने दिया। जब हम भगवान से प्रेम करते हैं, तो हम खुद को उन्हें दे देते हैं। खुद को देने के बाद, हम बदले में कुछ भी उम्मीद नहीं करते हैं। मांगने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं बचा है। आप बिना यह सोचे खुद को दे देते हैं कि भगवान आपके हैं या नहीं। जब आप खुद को दे देते हैं, तो ‘मैं’ नहीं बचता है, और कोई लगाव या अपेक्षा नहीं होती है। क्या भगवान को देने के बाद कोई ख्वाहिश बचेगी? अगर कोई इच्छा बची है, तो प्यार पूरा नहीं होता है। अगर प्रेम है, तो कोई उम्मीद नहीं बची है, और वह संतोष है। अगर प्यार सिर्फ देता है और बदले में मैं कुछ ले रहा हूं तो वह भगवान के साथ बिजनेस है। प्रेम केवल ईश्वर के साथ ही हो सकता है। एक बार जब आप भगवान से प्यार करते हैं, तो आप उन्हें हर किसी में देखेंगे, और आप सभी से प्यार करेंगे।
