Country got it’s name- immersed…

Let’s us live an event today, which endowed our country it’s name, ‘Bhārata‘, and, the greatness of the sage, who illuminated the path to total tranquillity for the entire human race.

Part 1

A sage is sitting, lost in deep contemplation of the divine. He is at the “brink-to-the-Bliss”. He is immensely immersed in Rememberance, not even a single thought, devoid of faith, hovers near Him. Suddenly, He notices something, utterly natural.

A pregnant foe is about to spring across a river; but, as she does so, she delivers a baby fawn, and leaves her body.

He is diverted from his Consideration, for microseconds. A thought pops up in his mind. “This fawn is ought to be taken care of. It’s my responsibility to take care of other beings.”

Tint of doership is amalgamated in His thought. He adopts the calf and brings it up as His very own.

Repercussions… He is “forced away from the edge of infinity”. His personage is yielding Him, a life of a common man, and….. in the moments of His vanquishing breaths, He is remembering the deer. Now…

Part 2

Rebirth…. (again!!! Just a microsecond devoured the penance). Form taken- a deer (what we think at the “Last moment”, we become so….), Situations faced- Disease and pain have become the part-and-parcel of life. He knows His previous birth, and the step which deflected Him from the path of Devotion. He is completing His lifespan as a deer.

Human birth….. as a boy, in a spiritually uplifted family, is called “Bharata“. ETYMOLOGICALLY, “Bha” means light, and “rata” means to be indulged into.

In His boyhood, He is extraordinarily introverted. He, even, does not utter a word. His parents think that He is congenitally dumb. He can speak. He is aware of the purpose of His birth as a human. He is not willing to interact with the mundane world and being stuck in it.

With the least efforts, His mind is united with the ‘unified universe’.

Part 3 (on the roadside)

He is dawdling aimlessly on the road. Coincidently, the king of the province is about to pass by, in his palanquin. He is in the search of spiritual guru. One of the palanquin bearers is ill, and is unable to bear the burden. Seeing the garb of Bharata, the king orders Him to be His palanquin bearer. Bharata is the bearer now. But, His meandering gait is rendering jumpy jerks to the ride.

King (in anger, shouts..): You fool! Do you know who I am?

Bharata (speaks for the first time): I know your identity, but do you know mine?

King (amazed): These words are not ordinary. Without a speck of doubt, You are sure a divine being. O great soul! Guide me. Accept me as Thy student.

(Bharata touches the king’s hand. Soon, the king is reminded of his previous births, and, especially the one as a fawn, adopted by a sage. The positive aura of the sage illuminated his fortune, and, he became a king, in this birth.)

(Soon, the king is enlightened and His “menace” merges with the “Massive”.)

After some days, Bharata: O learned one! Go and rule your kingdom in a just manner.

(The king obeys the command.)

Again, after some months, Bharata (to all the people of the province): I hereby declare to leave my physical abode soon. Live a life rich in faith and penance.

(The king successfully rules the country for several years and names the territory after that of His Guru, Bhārata.)

Moral- Even a tiny bit of attachment and doership, pulls us back, to the verge of being ground by a pestle!!! Let’s beware…
