Going beyond Heaven and Hell

The last ten odd days of Ramzan are Laylatul Qadr; it is called the night of power because in the Ghar-e-Hira, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) meditated in the night where the holy Quran is revealed. People used to close themselves in a room on these nights, not speak to anyone, and try to meditate on these days. Unfortunately, the mind keeps on wandering: what is my child doing? What are the other family members doing? How am I better than others? All this negativity comes. What is needed is to keep Allah in mind and do the work for the sake of doing it without any expectation.

We have been taught that if we do good, we will end up in heaven, and if we do bad, we will end up in hell and burn in fire. We have to face the torture. Will God, who loves us, make us suffer by putting us in hell? This system of fear and greed should be eliminated. Then what should we do? What saint, Rabiya Basari ji, did we have to do that… for She felt that nothing is impossible when God is with us. One day she took a burning fire in one hand and a bucket of water in the other and flew into the sky. People asked where she was going. She stopped and said,’ I am going to pour water into hell, which has a burning fire to burn the heaven. Everyone thought she was mad, and they asked,’ Why are you doing this?’ She said because of this heaven and hell, you are not feeling the presence of God. In the greed of heaven and hell, you are going on and on in 82 million yonis in a cycle, and you forgot that your goal is to become one with God. Rabiya Ji simply and beautifully explained this.

Rabiya ji is about to leave the body; she said to everyone who were always with her,’ You all go; Allah is calling me, and I am going to merge with the divinity; it is Brahma Murat, everyone was watching her through the window. She took one deep breath and said, Allah, the soul left the body, but many disciples who are far away, to all those people, she was shown and asked to come to Basra, the place she left the body. One old lady came from far away and asked where she was; everyone said she left the physical body and showed the place she was buried. She went to the graveyard and asked how the relationship was with Munkin and Nakir, the two angels who ask at the time of death about our good and bad deeds. She laughed from the grave and said that before they could question her, Allah said,’ Why are you asking her? She never did anything; I did everything ask me if you want to’. She always felt that Allah is the doer. If our bhav is so pure, like, ‘Hey Eshwar, you are the doer; I am not the doer’, slowly you become that. By repeating RAM’s name, you become Ram, so this is what we have to do. We are not doing good because we will get good; we feel happy and get heaven, and we have fear because we will go to hell. No, we are doing this because we are going beyond this hell and heaven to become one with Him. The one who created heaven and hell, everything that is within us, we have to reach him.

Someone said, “Our aim is not to think about heaven or hell, it is to become one with God.” Teacher said, “Till today, I have never heard someone die, and people said we went to hell. The deceased person might be your enemy, and you will pray for him to get a place in heaven. Whoever dies, we send them to heaven. The fundamental issue is why we don’t feel like we’re living in heaven right now. Let your soul live in peace now. Your soul will live in peace when you feel God’s presence in every moment.”

A girl said, “I’ve discovered that our thoughts create heaven and hell where we are. Heaven and hell are in the present moment, and nothing is beyond it. So, I have to live in heaven in this present moment.” Teacher said, “Why in heaven? Live with God. Go beyond heaven and hell. Feel the energy and be that.” The girl asked, “Doesn’t God live in heaven?” Teacher replied, “No, he lives everywhere. If God is in heaven, then he is also in hell. There is no place where God does not exist. Hell, and heaven are small things; we have to become God ourselves. If we felt happy, then we were in heaven, and when we felt bad, we were in hell. God is beyond our thoughts. We have to go beyond time and space. If God is infinite, then how can we keep him only in heaven?”

Someone said, “Today I learned to live in the present and accept things as they come.” Teacher asked, “Rabiya Ji was flying through the air, which is something we should not do. How was she able to answer from her grave? This could happen because the one who was not Rabiya was God himself. Whichever emotion you call God with, he will come in front of you accordingly. God is everywhere, so he responded from her grave as Rabiya because she became one with God.” She asked, “Is there any such thing as self-respect?” Teacher replied, “There is no such thing as self-respect. The one thing that is there is Ego. Self means soul, and soul is the same in everyone. If you respect your soul, then you respect everyone’s soul, and that is love, not respect. People say, “This is my self-respect and not my ego”. The word “my or I” is the ego and problem creator. In your math, 1+1=2 but in the spiritual world, 1+1=1. If all are one, then who will respect whom?”

A lady said, “Follow one thing with your complete heart, and you will get there. From Rabiya Ji’s story, it is understood that there is no such thing as hell or heaven.” Teacher said, “Hell and heaven are there, but our goal is to become one with God. When you have so much faith in the existence of hell and heaven, then why do you not believe in God’s existence?” The lady said, “When I was a child, I didn’t want to go to hell.” Teacher said, “I would prefer to go to hell because you all will be in heaven. No heaven or hell becomes one with God.”

A lady said, “We have faith that our mother will never do anything wrong with us, and that is because we love her. But with God, there is still some fear associated, and we think he might punish us. The love for God is not complete yet. Once the love grows, the fear will go away on its own.” Teacher asked, “How will the love grow?” The lady replied, “As we keep on repeating his name, love will grow and become complete one day.” Teacher said, “The more you repeat his name, and while doing that, you should feel his presence, then fear will go away, and love for him will increase.”

A girl said, Before, I also had doubts that if we do good, I will go to heaven; otherwise, I will go to hell. Today, that doubt is cleared. We have to do good deeds to become one with God.” Teacher said, “What good deeds can you do? Naam Jap and feeling God’s presence are the best good deeds you can do. Naam Jap and feeling God’s presence are Sat karma, and with only this Sat karma, you can become one with God. This is the only good deed that is selfless.”

स्वर्ग और नरक से परे जाना

रमजान के आखिरी दस दिन लैलातुल क़द्र हैं; इसे सत्ता की रात कहा जाता है क्योंकि घर-ए-हीरा में पैगंबर मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम ने उस रात में ध्यान किया था जहां पवित्र कुरान प्रकट होता है। लोग इन रातों में खुद को एक कमरे में बंद कर लेते थे, किसी से बात नहीं करते थे, और इन दिनों ध्यान करने की कोशिश करते थे। दुर्भाग्य से, मन भटकता रहता है: मेरा बच्चा क्या कर रहा है? परिवार के अन्य सदस्य क्या कर रहे हैं? मैं दूसरों से बेहतर कैसे हूं? यह सारी नकारात्मकता आती है। जरूरत इस बात की है कि अल्लाह को ध्यान में रखा जाए और बिना किसी उम्मीद के काम करने के लिए किया जाए।

हमें सिखाया गया है कि अगर हम अच्छा करते हैं, तो हम स्वर्ग में समाप्त हो जाएंगे, और अगर हम बुरा करते हैं, तो हम नरक में समाप्त हो जाएंगे और आग में जल जाएंगे। हमें यातना का सामना करना पड़ता है। क्या परमेश् वर, जो हमसे प्रेम करता है, हमें नरक में डालकर कष्ट देगा? भय और लालच की इस व्यवस्था को समाप्त किया जाना चाहिए। फिर हमें क्या करना चाहिए? राबिया बसारी जी, हमें ऐसा किस लिए करना पड़ा? उसने महसूस किया कि जब भगवान हमारे साथ थे तो कुछ भी असंभव नहीं था। एक दिन उसने एक हाथ में जलती हुई आग और दूसरे में पानी की बाल्टी ली और आसमान में उड़ गई। लोग पूछते थे कि वह कहां जा रही है। वह रुक गई और बोली, ‘मैं नरक में पानी डालने जा रही हूं, जिसमें स्वर्ग को जलाने के लिए जलती हुई आग है। हर किसी ने सोचा कि वह पागल है, और उन्होंने पूछा, ‘आप ऐसा क्यों कर रहे हैं? उसने कहा कि इस स्वर्ग और नरक के कारण, आप भगवान की उपस्थिति महसूस नहीं कर रहे हैं। स्वर्ग और नरक के लालच में, आप एक चक्र में 82 मिलियन यूनि में चल रहे हैं, और आप भूल गए कि आपका लक्ष्य भगवान के साथ एक होना है। राबिया जी ने इसे सरल और खूबसूरती से समझाया।

राबिया जी शरीर छोड़ने वाली हैं; उसने कहा, ‘तुम सब जाओ; अल्लाह मुझे बुला रहा है, और मैं दिव्यता में विलीन होने जा रहा हूँ; यह ब्रह्म मूरत है, हर कोई उसे खिड़की से देख रहा था। उसने एक गहरी सांस ली और कहा, “अल्लाह, आत्मा ने शरीर छोड़ दिया, लेकिन कई शिष्य जो दूर हैं, उन सभी लोगों को, उसे दिखाया गया और बसरा आने के लिए कहा गया, जहां उसने शरीर छोड़ा था। एक बूढ़ी औरत दूर से आई और पूछा कि वह कहाँ है; सभी ने कहा कि उसने भौतिक शरीर छोड़ दिया और वह जगह दिखाई जहां उसे दफनाया गया था। वह कब्रिस्तान गई और पूछा कि मुंकिन और नकीर के साथ संबंध कैसा था, दो स्वर्गदूत जिन्होंने मृत्यु के समय हमारे अच्छे और बुरे कर्मों के बारे में पूछा था। वह कब्र से हँसे और कहा कि इससे पहले कि वे उससे सवाल कर पाते, अल्लाह ने कहा, “तुम उससे क्यों पूछ रहे हो? उसने कभी कुछ नहीं किया; मैंने वह सब कुछ किया जो मुझसे पूछा गया था। उसे हमेशा लगता था कि अल्लाह ही कर्ता है। यदि हमारा भाव इतना शुद्ध है, जैसे, हे ईश्वर, आप कर्ता हैं; मैं कर्ता नहीं हूं, धीरे-धीरे तुम वही बन जाते हो। रैम का नाम दोहराने से आप राम बन जाते हैं, तो हमें यही करना है। हम अच्छा नहीं कर रहे हैं क्योंकि हम अच्छे होंगे; हम खुश महसूस करते हैं और स्वर्ग प्राप्त करते हैं, और हमें डर लगता है क्योंकि हम नरक में जाएंगे। नहीं, हम ऐसा इसलिए कर रहे हैं क्योंकि हम उसके साथ एक होने के लिए इस नरक और स्वर्ग से परे जा रहे हैं। जिसने स्वर्ग और नरक बनाया, जो कुछ हमारे भीतर है, हमें उस तक पहुंचना है।

प्रतिक्रियाएं-

किसी ने कहा, “हमारा उद्देश्य स्वर्ग या नरक के बारे में सोचना नहीं है, यह भगवान के साथ एक होना है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “आज तक, मैंने कभी किसी को मरते नहीं सुना है, और लोगों ने कहा कि हम नरक में गए थे। मृत व्यक्ति आपका दुश्मन हो सकता है, और आप उसके लिए स्वर्ग में जगह पाने के लिए प्रार्थना करेंगे। जो मरता है, हम उसे स्वर्ग भेजते हैं। मूल मुद्दा यह है कि हमें ऐसा क्यों नहीं लगता कि हम अभी स्वर्ग में रह रहे हैं। अब अपनी आत्मा को शांति से रहने दें। जब आप हर पल में भगवान की उपस्थिति महसूस करेंगे तो आपकी आत्मा शांति से रहेगी।”

एक लड़की ने कहा, “मुझे पता चला है कि हमारे विचार स्वर्ग और नरक बनाते हैं जहां हम हैं। स्वर्ग और नरक वर्तमान क्षण में हैं, और कुछ भी इससे परे नहीं है। इसलिए, मुझे इस वर्तमान क्षण में स्वर्ग में रहना है। शिक्षक ने कहा, “स्वर्ग में क्यों? भगवान के साथ जिएं। स्वर्ग और नरक से परे जाओ। ऊर्जा महसूस करें और वही बनें। लड़की ने पूछा, “क्या भगवान स्वर्ग में नहीं रहते हैं? शिक्षक ने जवाब दिया, “नहीं, वह हर जगह रहता है। यदि ईश्वर स्वर्ग में है, तो वह भी नरक में है। ऐसी कोई जगह नहीं है जहां भगवान का अस्तित्व न हो। नरक, और स्वर्ग छोटी चीजें हैं; हमें स्वयं भगवान बनना है। अगर हम खुश महसूस करते थे, तो हम स्वर्ग में थे, और जब हमें बुरा लगा, तो हम नरक में थे। ईश्वर हमारे विचारों से परे है। हमें समय और स्थान से परे जाना होगा। यदि ईश्वर अनंत है, तो हम उसे केवल स्वर्ग में कैसे रख सकते हैं?”

किसी ने कहा, “आज मैंने वर्तमान में जीना और चीजों को स्वीकार करना सीख लिया जैसे वे आते हैं। शिक्षक ने पूछा, “राबिया जी हवा में उड़ रही थीं, जो कुछ ऐसा है जो हमें नहीं करना चाहिए। वह अपनी कब्र से कैसे जवाब दे सका? ऐसा इसलिए हो सका क्योंकि जो राबिया नहीं था वह स्वयं भगवान था। आप जिस भी भावना के साथ भगवान को बुलाएंगे, वह उसी के अनुसार आपके सामने आएगा। भगवान हर जगह है, इसलिए उसने राबिया के रूप में उसकी कब्र से जवाब दिया क्योंकि वह भगवान के साथ एक हो गई थी। उसने पूछा, “क्या आत्म-सम्मान जैसी कोई चीज है? शिक्षक ने उत्तर दिया, “आत्म-सम्मान जैसी कोई चीज नहीं है। एक चीज जो है वह अहंकार है। आत्म का अर्थ है आत्मा, और आत्मा सभी में समान है। यदि आप अपनी आत्मा का सम्मान करते हैं, तो आप हर किसी की आत्मा का सम्मान करते हैं, और यह प्यार है, सम्मान नहीं। लोग कहते हैं, “यह मेरा आत्म-सम्मान है न कि मेरा अहंकार”। शब्द “मेरा या मैं” अहंकार और समस्या निर्माता है। आपके गणित में, 1 + 1 = 2 लेकिन आध्यात्मिक दुनिया में, 1 + 1 = 1। अगर सब एक हैं तो कौन किसका सम्मान करेगा?’

एक महिला ने कहा, “अपने पूरे दिल से एक बात का पालन करें, और आप वहां पहुंचेंगे। राबिया जी की कहानी से समझ आता है कि नरक या स्वर्ग जैसी कोई चीज नहीं होती। शिक्षक ने कहा, “नरक और स्वर्ग हैं, लेकिन हमारा लक्ष्य भगवान के साथ एक होना है। जब आपको नरक और स्वर्ग के अस्तित्व में इतना विश्वास है, तो आप भगवान के अस्तित्व में विश्वास क्यों नहीं करते? महिला ने कहा, “जब मैं एक बच्चा था, तो मैं नरक में नहीं जाना चाहता था। शिक्षक ने कहा, “मैं नरक में जाना पसंद करूंगा क्योंकि तुम सब स्वर्ग में होगे। कोई स्वर्ग या नरक ईश्वर के साथ एक नहीं हो जाता है।”

एक महिला ने कहा, “हमें विश्वास है कि हमारी माँ हमारे साथ कभी कुछ गलत नहीं करेगी, और ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि हम उससे प्यार करते हैं। लेकिन परमेश्वर के साथ, अभी भी कुछ भय जुड़ा हुआ है, और हमें लगता है कि वह हमें दंडित कर सकता है। परमेश्वर के लिए प्रेम अभी पूरा नहीं हुआ है। एक बार जब प्यार बढ़ता है, तो डर अपने आप दूर हो जाएगा। शिक्षक ने पूछा, “प्यार कैसे बढ़ेगा? महिला ने जवाब दिया, “जैसे-जैसे हम उसका नाम दोहराते रहेंगे, प्यार बढ़ेगा और एक दिन पूरा हो जाएगा। शिक्षक ने कहा, “जितना अधिक तुम उसका नाम दोहराओगे, और ऐसा करते समय तुम्हें उसकी उपस्थिति महसूस करनी चाहिए, तब भय दूर हो जाएगा, और उसके लिए प्रेम बढ़ेगा।”

एक लड़की ने कहा, “पहले मुझे भी संदेह था कि अगर हम अच्छा करेंगे, तो मैं स्वर्ग में जाऊंगी; अन्यथा, मैं नरक में जाऊंगा। आज, यह संदेह दूर हो गया है। हमें ईश्वर के साथ एक होने के लिए अच्छे कर्म करने होंगे। शिक्षक ने कहा, “तुम कौन से अच्छे कर्म कर सकते हो? नाम जप और भगवान की उपस्थिति को महसूस करना सबसे अच्छे कर्म हैं जो आप कर सकते हैं। नाम जप और भगवान की उपस्थिति महसूस करना सत कर्म है, और केवल इस सत कर्म के साथ, आप भगवान के साथ एक हो सकते हैं। यह एकमात्र अच्छा काम है जो निस्वार्थ है।”
