Hymn of Glories- Part 17

  1. Rama and Lakshamana continued walking towards Kishkindha hills. Rama continued calling Mother loudly for Sugriva could hear them.
  2. Sugriva heard his voice and asked Hanumana Ji to summon before him. Sugriva asked Hanumana Ji to convey his message to Rama and Lakshamana that he wished to meet them. Hanumana Ji said that Sugriva should go to them as he wished to meet them. Sugriva was hesitant. He convinced Hanumana Ji, and finally, Hanumana Ji left to fetch the brothers. He disguised in the form of a brahmin boy and jumped from the hill. Then, he walked towards Rama and Lakshmana
  3. He joined his hands and bowed before Rama and Lakshmana without uttering a word. Rama asked him about his identity. Hanumana Ji asked Rama to unveil his own identity. Rama said that he was King Dashrath’s son and was searching Mother Sita with his brother, Lakshmana. Hanumana Ji replied that he was a messenger of Sugriva who had sent him to fetch them as he possessed Mother’s headgear. Rama asked Hanumana Ji to unveil his identity. Hanumana Ji again asked Rama to unveil his curtains. Finally, Hanumana Ji returned to the form of a monkey and bowed before Lord. Rama smiled.
  4. Hanumana Ji said that Sugriva was hesitant to meet them in the foothills. Rama denied climbing the hills to meet a person who could not walk down a hill. Hanumana Ji consoled that he would take them. He extended his palms and placed Rama and Lakshmana on his shoulders. Rama said that they could fall. Hanumana Ji said that he had held their feet tightly and asked Rama to place his hands over his head if he wished to do so. Hanumana Ji flew and reached the apex.

Hanumana Ji held his Guru’s feet tightly, and Guru’s blessings were with him. Such were the faith and virtues in Hanumana Ji. He taught us the ways to live a virtuous life.
