- After Hanumana Ji reached the top of Kishkindha hill, he placed Rama and Lakshmana gently on the ground. Hanumana Ji hinted Sugriva with his eyes. Soon, Sugriva prostrated before Lord Rama. Hanumana Ji introduced Rama and Sugriva to each other. He continued and said that as Rama felt dampened at the abduction of his consort, Mother Sita, even Sugriva was so after Bali, his elder brother imprisoned his consort, Mother Roma.
- Rama, Lakshmana, and Hanumana Ji smiled, but Sugriva stood motionless and shivered a bit. Rama consoled Sugriva by saying that they would be friends as they were in the same boat. Sugriva felt relieved. Rama promised Sugriva that he would help to bring his wife from the clutches of Bali. But, Rama also asked Sugriva to help him get his wife from Lanka. Sugriva gave his word.
- Bali had a special power within him. He had acquired power by deep penance for several years. Anyone who stood before him felt less energetic than before as Bali sucked fifty percent of his energy, and thus, Bali could defeat easily. Sugriva had tried several times to face Bali, but he returned with crooked bones always.
- That day, Rama asked Sugriva to lure Bali to fight with him. Sugriva began shivering. He turned towards Hanumana Ji and pleaded but, Hanumana Ji forced him to obey Rama. Sugriva had to go.
- He stood at Bali’s doorstep and roared in a heavy voice. Bali felt that Sugriva wished to get his body massaged again. Tara, Bali’s wife, was a virtuous lady. She often asked Bali to free Roma, but he never listened. On that day, she warned Bali and said that Sugriva was never bold to face Bali, but something appeared fishy.
- Bali was arrogant. He moved out, and as Sugriva saw him, Sugriva began shivering. But he had to fight. Bali appeared strong and almost defeated Sugriva.
- Suddenly an arrow appeared out through the bushes and hit Bali. Bali fell to the ground and groaned in pain. Rama appeared from the bushes to introspect the scene. Bali felt moved by the positive vibrations of the Lord, and he bowed before Rama mentally.
- Tara came running from the house and asked the reason for the cause. She was in a dilemma about the future of her son, Angad, and her own. Rama consoled that Bali would get an opportunity to take revenge for his death as Rama killed him by treachery. He continued that Angad would be the crown prince of the province who would be the successor of Sugriva, and Tara as Mother Queen, the most revered elder of the kingdom.
- Bali placed his son’s hands over Rama’s and offered Angad as Rama’s son. Soon, Bali breathed his last. Rama asked Angad to bring his aunt, Roma, with dignity. And soon, the coronation ended successfully.
- Though Bali saw Rama while spending his last breathes, he didn’t attain liberation. Bali had a speck of grief that Rama killed him by shooting an arrow through the bushes. He didn’t forgive Rama. Thus, he had to take the birth of a hunter and kill Krishna, perceiving him as a deer. Krishna was free but, Bali had to suffer in several births. Thus, it is mandatory to forgive and forget.
