- Sugriva realized his mistake and rushed to Rama. Rama forgave him and proceeded for the job. Sugriva, being the king of Kishkindha, called all the reputed dignitaries who could help to carry out a grand operation.
- Jambvan, the wisest minister, was also present in the meeting. They decided to depute a messenger who could go to Lanka, convey their messages to Mother Sita and Ravana and return to convey the feedback. A person should be skilled with extraordinary capabilities.
- Jambvan invocated loudly and called for some volunteers. Angad, Bali’s son rose and said that he could go to Lanka and convey the message but could not feel the strength to return from Lanka.
- After a gap of about a minute, Jambvan called Hanumana Ji’s name loudly and asked him to wake up. Hanumana Ji was startled and said that he was awake. Jambvan asked him to unveil the energy of Rama hidden within him and to carry out the service. Hanumana Ji felt a gush of enormous energy and said that he could do the job. Rama smiled and agreed with Jambvan’s choice.
- When Hanumana Ji was in the meeting initially, he was sitting as a dull personal with the rosary of Rama’s name unfurling within him. Soon, he felt that he was about to be used as a tool by Rama for Rama’s service. He placed the signet ring over his tongue and reached Lanka in one leap, dispersed the messages to Mother Sita and Ravana, and returned in one leap. Thus, it is said, Prabhu mudrika meli mukh maahi, jaladhi laanghi gaye acharaj naahi.
