- After the four brothers returned from the Gurukul to their palace, Guru Vishwamitra visited their place. He was performing a yajna for a noble cause.
- The term Vishwa means the world, and Mitra means friend; viz, the one who is the friend of all. He was performing a yajna for the peace in the world.
- Several devil entities were living on the planet, who were disturbing the harmony. (COVID-19 is such a reflection in the present era). When he used to start the yajna, a demoness Tadka destroyed the fireplace and scared other people. Even her sons were a menace.
- He meditated over the cause and felt that an incarnation would redeem them. That made him visit King Dashrath.
- King Dashrath remembered Guru Vishwamitra had visited his ancestor, King Harishchandra, who was tested heavily. He quivered, remembering the Trishanku episode.
- Guru Vishwamitra asked King Dashrath to give his sons, Rama and Lakshmana, for they could abolish the menaces. King Dashrath was attached to his sons (though he was a jitendriya, but after Rama’s arrival, he felt attached).
- He pleaded to Guru Vishwamitra to accept other services from him, except taking his sons away. Guru Vashishtha was also present in the court. He consoled King Dashrath and asked him to obey the Divine words of Vishwamitra. Guru Vashishtha unveiled a future event. He said that his sons would bring their consorts when they would return.
- Guru Vishwamitra was aware of Rama’s reality, but King Dashrath was dwindling amongst the strings of attachments.
- After a long course of conversations, King Dashrath agreed. Rama and Lakshmana took blessings from all the elders and left with Guru Vishwamitra.
- They reached the hermitage. Guru Vishwamitra meditated and lit the fire in the sacred fireplace with the powers of the soul. The yajna began.
- Tadka and her sons appeared in the scene. Rama prayed to the Formless entity for strengths and for freeing him from the clutches of doership.
- A power arrow took Marichi across the seas to Lanka, and the other son died on the spot.
- Rama prayed to the Formless to show Its opulent form to Mother Tadka, as he could not kill a mother. As an arrow hit her, she attained liberation from the vicious cycles of births and deaths.
- Guru Vishwamitra thanked the princes for helping him complete the yajna procedures. Rama and Lakshmana prostrated before him and thanked him for allowing them to serve the Divine feet of Guru.
