Once upon a time there was a tall nine year old boy, named Sunil. He was very intelligent and excellent at everything he did. Incidentally, he was very arrogant and boastful about whatever he did. One day he started teasing everyone and started boasting about what he does. His Mum wasn’t pleased at all with his behaviour. So, she sent him to a Guru to learn some decency.

So the boy went along and and finally reached Guru’s house and showed him what he could do. Impressed, the Guru set him a task and he managed to finish it in not time. Laughing Sunil asked his great Guru what to do now and the holy man said “None of your asanas are very good, try and perfect one or two of them every day and very soon you will succeed.” Sunil sneered and practiced his Kapal Bhati; it looked perfect, if sounded perfect and it was perfect. Although, the wise Guru had something to say “Increase force and speed.” The boy smiled in a wicked way as if he could beat the Guru. He started practicing again, this time stronger and quicker. The Guru pointed out, “Increase breathing out.” The boy, with the frustrated frown on his face, practiced. The Guru said, “Focus on what you are doing.” The boy tightened his fist and started hitting his face and soon started to cry.

The Guru went to comfort the boy and said, “See nobody is perfect and we can try to be almost perfect. All you can do is put that bright smile of yours on that face. It will be enough for today.” Sunil smiled and did his Kapal Bhati.

Next day, Sunil woke up early and was determined to smile and practice the butterfly asana. He started to smile more and more as he achieved one goal after another. First, the legs were more tucked in. Next, the legs were coming down properly. On Wednesday, he did Bhramari Pranayaam. The next day, he did Simha (Lion) asana. He improved on more tongue out and eyes wider open. On funny Friday, he did Super Brain Yoga and on Saturday he did Surya Namaskaar. He was gradually getting good at it. On sunny Sunday he did cycling and on Monday he practiced the divinity of Om – Pranav Pranayaam. Lastly, on Tuesday, he practiced meditation and his Guru told him to ask for forgiveness about what he had done.

After nine days he went back home and was the best child ever.
