Mother Siddhidatri

We have nine openings in our bodies; two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, one mouth, and two lower openings. This body is a fort and the energy resides in it. If we pay attention to the outside world, we are Shav, that is a dead body. The moment we are aware that we are neither the mind nor the body, we become Shiva. God is with us at every moment of our lives but, God makes us intensely feel his presence, on these special days, and reminds us of his presence in our busy lives. We saw in the previous days, how faith can move the mountains… Maa Shailputri. Maa Brahmcharini.. if we practice celibacy, then we can easily feel the presence. Maa Chandraghanta.. as we move closer to Her, our love and affection for the soul rise gradually. Maa Kushmanda.. the primordial form of great energy resides within us. Maa Skandmata.. we are the Skanda, the Kartikeya. She loves us seventy times a mother’s love and is sitting within us. Maa Katyayini… She destroys all the demons and takes us closer to Her. Maa Kalratri.. fearlessness for death. Maa Gauri.. a beautiful form sitting on Gauvansh. Gauseva is the greatest service. Maa Siddhidatri.. when we surrender ourselves totally at the divine feet, we become the tatva ourselves. It is our birthright to become one with God. She can give anything and everything to us. Whatever we think, we find it. When we are negative, we create bondages. It is important to let go and to forgive and forget. Then, we can feel the intense divine love. 

In the Navratri which is celebrated in April, the ninth day is celebrated in the name of Rama, called Rama Navmi. Who is Rama? It is the Shakti. In this Shardiya Navratri, the ninth day is revered, as a great event happened. On the ninth day, Rama saw the extravagant form of Mother, during the war between Rama and Ravana. During the war, Rama saw that Mother was fighting on the behalf of Ravana. Rama could not believe his eyes. Jambvant asked Rama to pray to Mother. Then, Rama meditated with a hundred and eight lotus flowers. On the ninth day, Mother played mischief and took away the last flower, worth to be offered at the altar. Rama didn’t find the lotus and then decided to offer one of his eyes, as his mother Kaushalya often called him Rajeevlochan, the one with lotus-like eyes. As Rama was about to pull out his eye from the eye socket, Mother appeared and blessed him. Mother said, “You were successful in the trial.” Even, if Brahma appears in the human form, he has to face the tests of life. The slightest evidence of ‘I’ can take us away from God. It is important to surrender. On today’s day, Rama received the blessings of ‘Vijayi Bhav’ (You shall be victorious). We get this blessing today, so why don’t we surrender completely at the divine feet and then become one with Her? Rama conquers Ravana on Vijaydashmi. Hanuman Ji, as a Guru, relieved Rama, saying that they would fight with Ravana, for nine days while Rama meditated. 

Feedback began,

During the session, someone gave feedback. The teacher elaborated, “If you think that you are righteous and think why Shakti is with the opponent, then it indicates that you are not surrendered. Even, Rama felt for a moment why Mother was with Ravana. Mother taught that she is with everybody, irrespective of righteous and unrighteous efforts.”

A boy said, “Irrespective of our status of maturity, we should face every event of life as a test. If ‘You and I’ does not come in the path of life, then we shall pass the tests smoothly. I receive every event of life as a competition that God is providing me opportunities to remember him.” The teacher said, “Good! Compete with yourself and surrender to your inner self.” A mother said, “Rama had the ego.” The teacher said, “No! He didn’t have ego. Any realized form has a mild sense of ‘I’ to sustain the human form. But, Jambvant Ji asked Rama to go and pray to Mother.”

Someone said, “Ravana is within us. Mother fights on the behalf of our mind as well, but we should surrender.” The teacher said, “We often think about why our opponent is receiving all the blessings and boons, despite being immoral. Why are you comparing yourself with others? Ravana was the greatest devotee of Shiva and wrote the great Shiv Tandav Stotra. Thus, Mother was also with him. Only the sense of ego makes him think that he was superior. Ravana was at great heights as he saw Rama at his last breath and Rama killed him, thus united with Rama. No one is wrong. Focus your mind on the soul. Fearlessness, from the fierce form of Mother Kalratri, is worth to be inculcated. We should remain blissful and not judge others.” The person asked again, “Someone explained to me the woman can delude us….” The teacher said, “Yes! I understood your question. It is said that girls should remain away from boys and vice versa as well. Until the person conquers his senses and practices cent percent celibacy, he should maintain distance. If you can see a mother or a sister in any woman or a girl, then you shall be a celibate. Until you have conquered the senses, you should maintain mental distance. You may need to work with a woman in your job. It’s okay. You should respect women as your mother or sister.” 

A mother said, “I need you! I need you! I need you! I need you! O Mother Durga (laughs) On this day, we have just surrendered just like a puppet. May you use the strings as per your wish. The Mahishasura…” The teacher said, “It is not a Mahishasura anymore, but tiny demons. They shall demolish soon. Have faith that you are not different from Her.” A lady said, “I always ask God for God. Often, I ask him for materialistic things. Then, I say to Her, ‘I often ask many things from you, but you choose the wish in which I ask you.'” The teacher smiled and said, “Yes! This is the best thing. Desires do come.”

माँ सिद्धिदात्री-

हमारे शरीर में नौ छिद्र होते हैं; दो आंखें, दो कान, दो नथुने, एक मुंह और दो निचले छिद्र। यह शरीर एक दुर्ग है और इसमें ऊर्जा निवास करती है। अगर हम बाहरी दुनिया पर ध्यान देते हैं तो हम शव हैं। जिस क्षण हम यह जान जाते हैं कि हम न तो मन हैं और न ही शरीर, हम शिव बन जाते हैं। भगवान हमारे जीवन के हर पल में हमारे साथ हैं लेकिन, भगवान हमें इन विशेष दिनों में अपनी उपस्थिति का तीव्रता से अनुभव कराते हैं, और हमें अपने व्यस्त जीवन में उनकी उपस्थिति की याद दिलाते हैं। हमने पिछले दिनों देखा, विश्वास कैसे पहाड़ों को हिला सकती है… मां शैलपुत्री। माँ ब्रह्मचारिणी.. अगर हम ब्रह्मचर्य का अभ्यास करते हैं, तो हम उपस्थिति को आसानी से महसूस कर सकते हैं। माँ चंद्रघंटा .. जैसे-जैसे हम उनके करीब जाते हैं, आत्मा के लिए हमारा प्यार और स्नेह धीरे-धीरे बढ़ता है। माँ कुष्मांडा.. महान ऊर्जा का छोटा रूप हमारे भीतर निवास करता है। माँ स्कंदमाता .. हम स्कंद, कार्तिकेय हैं। वह हमें एक माँ के प्यार से सत्तर गुना प्यार करती हैं और हमारे भीतर बैठी हैं। माँ कात्यायनी… वह सभी राक्षसों का नाश करती हैं और हमें अपने करीब ले जाती हैं। माँ कालरात्रि… मृत्यु के लिए निर्भयता देती हैं। मां गौरी.. गौवंश पर विराजमान सुंदर रूप। गौसेवा सबसे बड़ी सेवा है। माँ सिद्धिदात्री .. जब हम अपने आप को पूरी तरह से दिव्य चरणों में आत्मसमर्पण कर देते हैं, तो हम स्वयं तत्व बन जाते हैं। ईश्वर के साथ एक होना हमारा जन्मसिद्ध अधिकार है। वह हमें कुछ भी और सब कुछ दे सकती हैं। हम जो सोचते हैं, वही पाते हैं। जब हम नकारात्मक होते हैं, तो हम बंधन बनाते हैं। जाने देना और क्षमा करना और भूलना महत्वपूर्ण है। तब, हम गहन दिव्य प्रेम को महसूस कर सकते हैं।

अप्रैल में मनाई जाने वाली नवरात्रि में नौवें दिन को राम के नाम से मनाया जाता है, जिसे राम नवमी कहा जाता है। राम कौन हैं? यह शक्ति है। इस शारदीय नवरात्रि में नौवें दिन को एक महान घटना के रूप में मनाया जाता है। राम और रावण के बीच युद्ध के दौरान, नौवें दिन, राम ने माता के विशाल रूप को देखा। युद्ध के दौरान राम ने देखा कि माता रावण की ओर से युद्ध कर रही हैं। राम को अपनी आँखों पर विश्वास नहीं हुआ। जाम्बवंत ने राम से माँ से प्रार्थना करने को कहा। फिर, राम ने एक सौ आठ कमल के फूलों से ध्यान लगाया। नौवें दिन, माँ ने शरारत की और वेदी पर चढ़ाने लायक आखिरी फूल ले लिया। राम को कमल नहीं मिला और फिर उन्होंने अपनी एक आंख चढ़ाने का फैसला किया, क्योंकि उनकी मां कौशल्या अक्सर उन्हें कमल जैसी आंखों वाले राजीवलोचन बुलाती थीं। जैसे ही राम अपनी आंख निकालने वाले थे, माता ने प्रकट होकर उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया। माँ ने कहा, “आप परीक्षण में सफल रहे।” यदि ब्रह्म भी मानव रूप में प्रकट होते हैं, तो उन्हें भी जीवन की परीक्षाओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। ‘मैं’ का जरा सा भी प्रमाण हमें ईश्वर से दूर ले जा सकता है। समर्पण जरूरी है। आज के दिन, राम को ‘विजयी भव’ का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त हुआ। यह वरदान हमें आज मिलता है, तो क्यों न हम पूरी तरह से परमात्मा के चरणों में समर्पण कर दें और फिर उसके साथ एक हो जाएं? विजयदशमी पर राम ने रावण पर विजय प्राप्त की। हनुमान जी ने एक गुरु के रूप में, राम को यह कहते हुए निश्चिन्त किया कि वे नौ दिनों तक रावण से युद्ध करेंगे, जबकि राम ध्यान करेंगे।

फीडबैक शुरू हुआ,

सेशन के दौरान किसी ने फीडबैक दिया। टीचर ने विस्तार से कहा, “यदि आप सोचते हैं कि आप धर्मी हैं और सोचते हैं कि शक्ति प्रतिद्वंद्वी के साथ क्यों है, तो यह इंगित करता है कि आप आत्मसमर्पण नहीं कर रहे हैं। यहां तक कि, राम ने भी एक पल के लिए महसूस किया कि माँ रावण के साथ क्यों थी। माँ ने सिखाया कि वह सबके साथ है, धर्म और अधर्म के प्रयासों के परे।”
एक लड़के ने कहा, “हमारी परिपक्वता के बावजूद, हमें जीवन की हर घटना को एक परीक्षा के रूप में सामना करना चाहिए। यदि ‘आप और मैं’ जीवन के पथ में नहीं आते हैं, तो हम आसानी से परीक्षण पास करेंगे। मुझे हर घटना प्राप्त होती है जीवन की एक प्रतियोगिता के रूप में कि भगवान मुझे उन्हें याद करने के अवसर प्रदान कर रहे हैं।” टीचर ने कहा, “अच्छा है! अपने आप से मुकाबला करो और अपने भीतर आत्म समर्पण करो।” एक माँ ने कहा, “राम में अहंकार था।” टीचर ने कहा, “नहीं! उनके पास अहंकार नहीं था। किसी भी साकार रूप में मानव रूप को बनाए रखने के लिए ‘मैं’ का हल्का भाव होता है। लेकिन, जाम्बवंत जी ने राम को जाकर माँ से प्रार्थना करने के लिए कहा।”

किसी ने कहा, “रावण हमारे भीतर है। मां हमारे मन की ओर से भी लड़ती है, लेकिन हमें समर्पण कर देना चाहिए।” टीचर ने कहा, “हम अक्सर सोचते हैं कि हमारे प्रतिद्वंद्वी को अमर होने के बावजूद सभी आशीर्वाद और वरदान क्यों मिल रहे हैं। आप दूसरों के साथ अपनी तुलना क्यों कर रहे हैं? रावण शिव का सबसे बड़ा भक्त था और उसने महान शिव तांडव स्तोत्र लिखा था। इस प्रकार, माता उसके साथ भी थीं। केवल अहंकार की भावना उसे यह सोचने पर मजबूर करती है कि वह श्रेष्ठ था। रावण महान ऊंचाई पर था क्योंकि उसने अपनी अंतिम सांस में राम को देखा और राम ने उसे मार डाला, इस प्रकार राम के साथ एकजुट हो गया। कोई भी गलत नहीं है। अपनी आत्मा पर ध्यान केंद्रित करें । माँ कालरात्रि के भयंकर रूप से निर्भयता, आत्मसात करने योग्य है। हमें आनंदित रहना चाहिए और दूसरों को जज नहीं करना चाहिए।” उस व्यक्ति ने फिर पूछा, “किसी ने मुझे समझाया कि स्त्री भी माया है…।” टीचर ने कहा, “हां! मैं आपका प्रश्न समझ गया। कहा जाता है कि लड़कियों को लड़कों से दूर रहना चाहिए और इसके विपरीत भी। जब तक शत-प्रतिशत ब्रह्मचर्य, इन्द्रियों पर विजय प्राप्त नहीं करते तो दूरी बनाए रखनी चाहिए। यदि किसी स्त्री या कन्या में माता या बहन दिखाई दे तो आप ब्रह्मचारी होंगे। आपको अपनी नौकरी में किसी महिला के साथ कार्य करने की आवश्यकता हो सकती है। कोई बात नहीं। आपको अपनी मां या बहन के रूप में महिलाओं का सम्मान करना चाहिए।”

एक माँ ने कहा, “मुझे तुम्हारी ज़रूरत है! मुझे तुम्हारी ज़रूरत है! मुझे तुम्हारी ज़रूरत है! मुझे तुम्हारी ज़रूरत है! हे माँ दुर्गा (हंसते हुए) इस दिन, हमने कठपुतली की तरह आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया है। आप अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार तारों का उपयोग कर सकती हैं। महिषासुर …” टीचर ने कहा, “यह अब महिषासुर नहीं है, बल्कि छोटे राक्षस हैं। वे जल्द ही नष्ट हो जाएंगे। विश्वास रखें कि आप उससे अलग नहीं हैं।” एक महिला ने कहा, “मैं हमेशा भगवान से भगवान के लिए मांगती हूं। अक्सर, मैं उनसे भौतिकवादी चीजें मांगती हूं। फिर, मैं उनसे कहती हूं, ‘मैं अक्सर आपसे बहुत कुछ मांगती हूं, लेकिन आप उस इच्छा को स्वीकारियेगा जिसमें मैं आपको आपके लिए मांगू।'” टीचर मुस्करायीं और कहीं, “हाँ! यह सबसे अच्छी बात है। इच्छाएँ आती हैं।”
