Rani Rasmani feels blissful building the Kali Mandir. She has daughters who are already married. She has no discriminating mentality and feels that Mother has taken birth through her. She deputes one of her sons-in-law, Mathur Babu, to take care of the Mandir’s dealings and even Baba, who is Gadadhar.
One day, Gadadhar is sitting at the banks of River Ganga in the mandir’s garden, lost in divine contemplation. Rani Rasmani comes to the garden to pluck some flowers to offer at Mother’s divine feet. Suddenly, Gadadhar rises us and holds Rani’s hands. A bout of unusual energy flows from Gadadhar into Rani. Gadadhar explains some notion continuously for about three minutes and, Rani begins weeping heavily. Gadadhar says, “What are you doing? You think that the garden is yours. You wish to offer a single flower at Mother’s feet. Why do you need to pluck it? Offer your mind instead.” Everything calms down. Other people see the entire episode and ask Rani Rasmani about her well-being. Rani Rasmani says, “Look, revere Baba as the Guru. He is no ordinary boy.”
Another day, Rani Rasmani enters the mandir with other people. Gadadhar is sitting in the mandir. Rani says, “O Baba, kindly sing a hymn in glories to Mother. My mind is a bit turbulent. It shall bestow some peace.” Gadadhar begins singing the hymn. But, soon, Rani Rasmani thinks about her planning for further meetings with Mathur Babu and her property. Suddenly, Gadadhar lifts his arm and slaps at Rani’s cheek. Gadadhar says, “Mother is before you and, you are thinking about the world, instead of asking Mother for pure devotion at her feet.” All people see the incident, amazed. From this moment, Rani Rasmani never lets her mind slip into the world for even a second. She is above her sixties. She is at her death bed and says, “Thank you, Baba, for making me see that I’m merging with the divinity.”
