There is no concept of diversions and religions. All are one. We celebrate Prophet Mohammed‘s (p.b.u.h.) birthday on the day of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi. He is the One who never took birth, never died, but gave us the treasure of life. His virtues are unquestionable. We need to imbibe the same within ourselves. Let us see a few parables to understand the same.
Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) had the habit of bathing in the morning in the early dawn and going to masjid every day for the morning prayers. There was a lady who had a habit of throwing rubbish at Him every day. He used to pass by her house every day she used to throw the garbage. He used to bathe again and went to masjid. That proceeded for about a year.
One day, she didn’t throw anything over Him. He returned after offering morning prayers and inquired about the lady. He went to her house and found her lying unconscious on her bed, suffering from high-grade fever. He served her as a son served his mother till she recovered. She moved her eyes and was amazed to see Him. She felt ashamed and asked for forgiveness. He replied that she had not done anything wrong. He consoled her and said that she did the job which Allah wished to do through her, and He did the job according to the Divine will. She wept heavily and asked Him to guide her towards the right path. He explained that Allah was One and asked her to forget the past episodes as He had forgiven and forgotten the events.
Another fable.
One day, a lady came to Him with her son. She asked Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) to ask her son to stop eating sweets. He asked her to return after a month. A month passed by. She appeared with her son. Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) asked him to stop eating sweets. He conceived the words and stopped eating sweets. The lady visited Him again, after a week, and told Him that He could have said the same notion a month ago. He replied that He used to eat a lot of sweets a month ago. He explained that He worked on Himself and conquered the cravings and then conveyed the notion to the boy. The practiced notion was accepted by the boy as it was.
If a doctor asks his patient to stop smoking, despite the doctor being a grave smoker. The patients shall ridicule the doctor.
We often encounter riots and unrest in the name of religion. Is it worthy to be practiced? Let us see an event that made Narendra feel a thrilling experience.
After Narendra lost His beloved Thakur Ji, He was quite restless about the Journey. He was on a random journey. He reached Ksheer Bhavani Temple in Srinagar. The peaks were snow-laden and the temple was jagged. A king had attacked and destroyed the temple building. He was sitting on the stairs and thought that he would have killed the king if he had been present there. Suddenly, the idol became life and appeared before him. She asked Him the name of the being who was the savior. He was thrilled to see the form. He asked for forgiveness and accepted not to repeat it. Mother warned him that he would not be able to realize the Self if he repeated the mistake.
He realized the Self at that moment and became Vivekananda.
