Paramahansa Yogananda Ji’s story

Today’s story is about a saint named Paramahansa Yogananda. He had a guru named Yukteshwar Giri.

When Paramahansa ji was in his student life and his guru used to visit him, he was always of the mind that I should give up my studies and totally devote my time to the Guru. However, Guruji was clear that you must complete your studies, get the degree, and then come. When Paramahansa Ji completed his studies, he shifted to the ashram.

One day Guruji asked Paramahansaji to come with him for a walk towards the river Ganga. So, they went from the ashram to the river. On the way, Guruji asked Paramahansaji whether he had locked the doors to his room properly.

Paramahansaji said, “Yes, I have closed the doors properly.”

A day earlier, one of the guruji’s other disciples brought a beautiful, homegrown cauliflower. Guruji had asked Paramahansaji to keep it safely below his bed.

When they were walking, they saw a man who saw Guruji, and as soon as he saw Guruji, he turned around and went back to the ashram, took out the cauliflower, and went away.

When Paramahansaji and Guruji came back to the ashram, Guruji asked Paramahansaji to bring the cauliflower. When Paramahansaji went to get it, he found that the cauliflower was not there. He got tense and started asking everyone frantically. But no one knew what happened.

He went to Guruji and told him that he did not know where the cauliflower went. Guruji said I had told you to close the door properly.

Teacher started by asking, “So tell me what you understood from the story.”

One lady said, “Guruji is testing Paramahansaji on his obedience and focus. Earlier he did not want to study, but he did as Guruji had told him, and now, when Guruji said to come for the walk, he came, but did he listen intently earlier?”

A person said, “I understood the student’s dedication towards the Guru. Guru always wants their students to grow, and in that, they give various tasks to the students.”

Teacher interrupted, “Tell me when the cauliflower got stolen, what would be going on in Paramahansaji’s mind, and what would have been the interaction between him and Guruji? And my other question is: if Guruji is a Yogi, hence, he is called Guruji; he knows that God is everywhere and in everyone; then why did he ask Paramahansaji to lock the door?”

The person replied, “Guruji gave it as a task to test.”

Teacher then mentioned, “When I heard the cauliflower story for the first time, I did not understand the deeper meaning, but later I understood why the burglary happened for that cauliflower, which is what Guruji wanted Paramahansaji to learn. Guruji wanted Paramahansaji to learn that all is one, and even you are that cauliflower. Everybody and everyone are one.”

A lady said, “Everything happens as per God’s will”, then teacher asked, “Should we stop caring about things then? When are you going out to lock your door?” teacher then replied, “When you will go beyond these insecurities, then only you will see.” The lady said, “I don’t know when I will achieve that level.” Teacher replied, “You have come this far; you will achieve that as well. Have complete faith in God.”

A young boy said, “One thing I understood is not to find logic in anything, especially in spirituality.”

Teacher said, “Yes, just throw everything in a corner and believe in God.”

The boy added, “When we don’t put logic in, you start seeing everything the same, and you are at peace.”

Teacher added, “When Guruji had asked Paramahansaji to lock the door, Paramahansaji was of the view that since everything was the same, then why lock the door? Guruji told him that you know all this theoretically, but you have not sensed it practically. As of now, you just followed the instructions but still felt tension when the cauliflower was lost. I wanted you to understand that everything is one practically.

A young lady said, “I viewed this story from three perspectives: the thief, Paramahansa Ji, and Guruji. Starting with the thief, as soon as he saw Guruji, he just followed what Guruji wanted. That was the power and the faith. From Paramahansaji‘s perspective, I understood that he just wanted to be with his guruji and follow what he says. From Guruji’s perspective, I understood that you need to follow whatever Guruji says.

A young man said, “I understood two things: one, that you should not think or overthink when your guruji is asking you to do something; have faith and follow it; and another, that since everything is one, do not panic about the burglary; it was destined to happen.”

Teacher added, “Yes, why cry over spilled milk? No one can take your craft. like when we steal honey from the bees, but they do not mind and just start the process again. We steal everything from nature, but they never complain.”

An old lady said, “Just follow your guru and forgive everyone. Don’t get attached to anything.”

A young boy said, “I look at life from three aspects: faith, patience, and attachment. The thief followed what Guruji commanded, having patience with the burglary and having no attachment to anything. Forgive and move forward. Also, if anything has gone, as everything is one, then it has gone to the right person only.

Teacher added, “Since God is everyone, whoever needed it the most took it. That is how it happens in nature. Whoever wants anything takes it, and nobody minds. You can take water from a river; the sun shines and gives light to everyone.”

परमहंस योगानंद जी की कहानी

आज की कहानी परमहंस योगानंद नाम के एक संत की है। उनके एक गुरु थे जिनका नाम युक्तेश्वर गिरि था।

जब परमहंस जी अपने छात्र जीवन में थे और उनके गुरु उनसे मिलने आते थे, तो उनका हमेशा मन होता था कि मैं अपनी पढ़ाई छोड़ दूं और अपना समय पूरी तरह से गुरु को समर्पित कर दूं। हालाँकि, गुरुजी स्पष्ट थे कि आपको अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी करनी होगी, डिग्री प्राप्त करनी होगी और फिर आना होगा। जब परमहंस जी ने अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी की तो वे आश्रम में शिफ्ट हो गए।

एक दिन गुरुजी ने परमहंसजी को अपने साथ गंगा नदी की ओर चलने के लिए कहा। अत: वे आश्रम से नदी की ओर चल पड़े। रास्ते में, गुरुजी ने परमहंसजी से पूछा कि क्या उन्होंने अपने कमरे के दरवाजे ठीक से बंद कर रखे हैं।

परमहंसजी ने कहा, “हां, मैंने दरवाजे ठीक से बंद कर दिए हैं।”

एक दिन पहले, गुरुजी के अन्य शिष्यों में से एक एक सुंदर, देसी फूलगोभी लाया। गुरुजी ने परमहंसजी को इसे अपने बिस्तर के नीचे सुरक्षित रखने को कहा था।

जब वे चल रहे थे तो उन्होंने एक आदमी को देखा जिसने गुरुजी को देखा और जैसे ही उसने गुरुजी को देखा, वह मुड़ा और वापस आश्रम में गया, फूलगोभी निकाली और चला गया।

जब परमहंसजी और गुरुजी वापस आश्रम आए, तो गुरुजी ने परमहंसजी को फूलगोभी लाने को कहा। जब परमहंसजी उसे लेने गए तो उन्होंने देखा कि फूलगोभी वहां नहीं थी। वह तनाव में आ गया और सबसे व्याकुल होकर पूछने लगा। लेकिन क्या हुआ किसी को पता नहीं चला।

वह गुरुजी के पास गया और उनसे कहा कि उन्हें नहीं पता कि फूलगोभी कहां गई। गुरुजी ने कहा कि मैंने तुमसे कहा था कि तुम ठीक से दरवाजा बंद कर लो।

प्रतिक्रिया:

शिक्षक ने पूछना शुरू किया, “तो मुझे बताओ कि तुमने कहानी से क्या समझा।”

एक महिला ने कहा, “गुरुजी परमहंसजी की आज्ञाकारिता और एकाग्रता की परीक्षा ले रहे हैं। पहले वे पढ़ना नहीं चाहते थे, लेकिन जैसा गुरुजी ने कहा था वैसा ही किया और अब जब गुरुजी ने चलने के लिए कहा तो वे आए, लेकिन क्या उन्होंने पहले ध्यान से सुनो?”

एक व्यक्ति ने कहा, “मैं गुरु के प्रति शिष्य के समर्पण को समझ गया। गुरु हमेशा चाहते हैं कि उनके छात्र आगे बढ़ें और उसमें वे छात्रों को विभिन्न कार्य देते हैं।”

शिक्षक ने टोका, “मुझे बताओ जब फूलगोभी चोरी हो गई, तो परमहंसजी के दिमाग में क्या चल रहा होगा और उनके और गुरुजी के बीच क्या बातचीत हुई होगी? और मेरा दूसरा सवाल है: यदि गुरुजी योगी हैं, तो उन्हें कहा जाता है गुरुजी, वह जानते हैं कि भगवान हर जगह और सभी में हैं, फिर उन्होंने परमहंसजी को दरवाजा बंद करने के लिए क्यों कहा?”

उस व्यक्ति ने उत्तर दिया, “गुरुजी ने इसे परीक्षण के कार्य के रूप में दिया था।”

शिक्षक ने फिर कहा, “जब मैंने पहली बार फूलगोभी की कहानी सुनी, तो मुझे इसका गहरा अर्थ समझ में नहीं आया, लेकिन बाद में मुझे समझ आया कि उस फूलगोभी के लिए चोरी क्यों हुई, जो गुरुजी चाहते थे कि परमहंसजी सीखें। गुरुजी चाहते थे कि परमहंसजी सीखें।” वह सब एक है, और तुम भी वह फूलगोभी हो। हर कोई और हर कोई एक है।”

एक युवा लड़के ने कहा, “एक बात जो मैंने समझी वह यह है कि किसी भी चीज में तर्क नहीं खोजना है, खासकर आध्यात्मिकता में।”

शिक्षक ने कहा, “हाँ, सब कुछ एक कोने में फेंक दो और भगवान में विश्वास करो।”

लड़के ने कहा, “जब हम तर्क नहीं रखते हैं, तो आपको सब कुछ एक जैसा दिखने लगता है, और आप शांति में होते हैं।”

शिक्षक ने आगे कहा, “जब गुरुजी ने परमहंसजी को दरवाजा बंद करने के लिए कहा था, तो परमहंसजी का विचार था कि जब सब कुछ एक जैसा था, तो दरवाजे पर ताला क्यों लगाया जाता है? गुरुजी ने उनसे कहा कि आप यह सब सैद्धांतिक रूप से जानते हैं, लेकिन आपने इसे व्यावहारिक रूप से महसूस नहीं किया है। अभी तक, आपने केवल निर्देशों का पालन किया लेकिन फूलगोभी खो जाने पर भी तनाव महसूस किया। मैं चाहता था कि आप यह समझें कि व्यावहारिक रूप से सब कुछ एक है।

एक युवती ने कहा, “मैंने इस कहानी को तीन दृष्टिकोणों से देखा: चोर, परमहंस जी और गुरुजी। चोर से शुरू करते हुए, जैसे ही उसने गुरुजी को देखा, उसने गुरुजी की इच्छा का पालन किया। वह शक्ति और विश्वास था। परमहंसजी के दृष्टिकोण से, मैं समझ गया कि वे केवल अपने गुरुजी के साथ रहना चाहते हैं और जो वे कहते हैं उसका पालन करना चाहते हैं।गुरुजी के दृष्टिकोण से, मैं समझ गया कि आपको गुरुजी जो कहते हैं उसका पालन करने की आवश्यकता है।

एक युवक ने कहा, “मुझे दो बातें समझ में आईं: एक, कि जब आपके गुरुजी आपसे कुछ करने के लिए कह रहे हैं तो आपको न तो सोचना चाहिए और न ही अधिक सोचना चाहिए; विश्वास रखें और उसका पालन करें; और दूसरा, कि चूंकि सब कुछ एक है, इसलिए घबराएं नहीं चोरी; यह तो होना ही था।”

टीचर ने कहा, “हाँ, दूध छलकने पर क्यों रोते हो? कोई तुम्हारा शिल्प नहीं छीन सकता। जैसे हम मधुमक्खियों से शहद चुराते हैं, लेकिन वे बुरा नहीं मानते और बस फिर से प्रक्रिया शुरू कर देते हैं। हम प्रकृति से सब कुछ चुरा लेते हैं, लेकिन वे कभी शिकायत नहीं करते “

एक महिला ने कहा, “बस अपने गुरु का अनुसरण करो और सभी को क्षमा कर दो। किसी भी चीज़ से मोह मत रखो।”

एक युवा लड़के ने कहा, “मैं जीवन को तीन पहलुओं से देखता हूँ: विश्वास, धैर्य और लगाव। चोर ने गुरुजी की आज्ञा का पालन किया, चोरी के साथ धैर्य रखना और किसी भी चीज़ से लगाव नहीं रखना। क्षमा करें और आगे बढ़ें। साथ ही, अगर कुछ भी हो तो चला गया, जैसे सब कुछ एक है, तो सही व्यक्ति के पास ही गया है।

शिक्षक ने आगे कहा, “चूंकि भगवान सभी हैं, जिसे इसकी सबसे अधिक आवश्यकता थी, उसने इसे ले लिया। प्रकृति में ऐसा ही होता है। जिसे कुछ भी चाहिए वह ले लेता है, और किसी को कोई आपत्ति नहीं है। आप नदी से पानी ले सकते हैं। सूरज चमकता है और प्रकाश देता है।” सब लोग।”
