Thoughts have the vigour to transform our own destiny. The objectives of our thoughts govern our life. Let’s see an example. Any thing in our surrounding, was initially a mere figment of imagination in someone’s mind. Let’s understand this with this laptop, as our object of assessment. The features of it’s screen, it’s dimensions, the resolutions it shall portray, the gliding swiftness in keys for typing, the material to be used for generating it’s skeleton and the other aspects of manufacturing, were the part of the mind of the manufacturer. After this visualization, he would have represented it diagrammatically for better perception of the future object. Then, he would have practically assembled it’s parts and united its microchips and transistors, ICs for better functioning. He might have faced failures, several times, but, later success would have touched his feet. This common example is applicable in materializing the spiritual life, as well. If we think to be the soul ourselves, and practice it day and night for accessing the energy, one day, we will surely reach there. Challenges will come, but practice and faith shall drift us across all the tsunamis.
We may think and understand theoretically, about our existence, governed by the soul. But, we have not realized yet. There are many people who are mighty enough to knock down many, barehanded, and are many, who do not fight at all, they are lean enough, unable to kick a football to a cubit distance. There are many who utilize their mental energy, and can earn a lot, by single phone calls, not all are capable of this. Homologue fits in the spiritual life. Many saints have visited this planet, viz. Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Guruji and the rest, who could use that energy, hidden within all of us. They could achieve this, by utilizing the power of thought. They thought that they were energy themselves, and soon, they realized it. They declared to themselves that they are neither the body nor the mind, they are soul themselves, and soon, they lost their attachments with the body, mind merged into the Ocean of Oneness and they enjoyed the Eternal Bliss.

Parable 1
Once there lived a woodcutter. He used to make his both ends meet, by selling wood logs in the market, which he used to gather all day, in scorching sun. One day, exhausted woodcutter sat under a tree, to gather his breaths. He wished if he had a bed to take rest, for a while. To his amazement, a cozy bed appeared, with a comfortable mattress and blanket, under the tree. He slept on it and took a relaxing nap. When he woke up, he wished if his limbs were massaged, as they were aching terribly, working hard all day. Again, angels appeared and massaged his legs and arms, according to his wish. He enjoyed each and every second of this luxurious time. He desired for some food to fill his slumbering stomach. The best delicacies of the planet appeared before him. He enjoyed them as well. The wish for water for quenching his thirst, brought the ambrosia and refreshments of all kinds, before him. He was amazed, but was lost in the enjoyment of the luxuries. Soon, he slept again. This time when he woke up, he thought if a lion comes before him, in this dense forest. This wish was also fulfilled. He thought of it would devour him, and thus was devoured by the lion.
Moral: The man was sitting under the wish-fulfilling tree, the wishes were granted in their full-fledged manner. That same tree is within us, and if we ask for the Entireness, we receive it, if we ask for material luxuries, we get that even. Sometimes, we do not get some of our wishes, as they are not worth for us for that moment. Thus, it is said, “Desire what you deserve.”

There was a village, which used to organize a weekly market. Some dyers also used to set up their stalls in the market. They owned few tubs, filled with many vibrant dyes. The customers used to come with their white clothings, and get their cloth dyed in the colour of their wish. Amongst the dyers, there was a one, who owned only a single tub and proclaimed to colour the clothes, according to the wish of the customers. The buyers were excited about this new dyer, and a long queue was set up, for getting the clothe dyed. The wishes were not compromised, not a single client went back without his wish fulfilled. At the end of the queue, there was an old man waiting for his chance to come. He asked the dyer to dye the clothe according to HIS wish. This time, the clothe was stained with the dye, making him the most magnificent man of the universe. The old man merged with the divine light and attained Oneness.
Moral: If we ask God for our tiny wishes, all are granted, but if we surrender at Thy feet, and ask Him, to live through us, according to His wish, we can enjoy the Love of more than seventy mothers, waiting to embrace us in His arms.
