A Sufi saying: “Everyone knows that a drop merges in the ocean, but very few know that the drop contains the entire ocean.” Scientists performed a lot of experiments, looked into the depths of the universe, and then compared it with the insides of the human body. To their surprise, both are the same. We are used to saying God lives somewhere in the universe, so this proves that the same God is within us. God has given us this life, so this mind and body also belong to him.
Assume your body died; what would happen next? The universe within you (Pind) will merge with the real world. You become what you remember when you die, so if you remember God every waking moment, then you can become one with him, as you don’t know when you will die.
There is a good tradition in Sanatan dharma of Pind Daan of your deceased one. The family member thinks they have to go to Gaya and do pind daan, and then only the deceased person can become one with God. The people who are left behind in this universe are sad due to their attachment to the deceased.
So, when people go to Gaya and do Pind Daan, they feel more comfortable. Even in the Ramayana, Ram Ji and Sita Ma went to Gaya to perform Pind Daan for Dashrath Ji. When you do Pind Daan, you also do charity along with the rituals. During ancient times, you provided food, clothing, etc. to the Brahmins, and they used to live on such charities. However, in recent times, when you yourself have not given your mind to God, how will you then give to others?
So, then, what should we do? First, we should surrender ourselves to God, then do the Pind Daan, and there is no need to go to Gaya as whatever there is in the universe is within you.
Give your mind and body to God and give charity to the needy. Then you’ll be satisfied.
So, “Everyone knows that a drop merges into the ocean, but very few know that the drop contains the entire ocean.”
The god is within you, and you are the god. There is just a drape of your thoughts in between. You will become what you think, so say to yourself, “Hey God, you have made me, you love me infinitely, you are mine, and I am yours; whatever mistake I have made, please forgive me and accept me again.”
With this, only your Pind Daan happens, and nobody else has to go do your Pind Daan.
पिंडदान का आध्यात्मिक महत्व
एक सूफी कहावत है: “सब जानते हैं कि एक बूंद सागर में विलीन हो जाती है, लेकिन बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं कि बूंद में पूरा सागर समा जाता है।” वैज्ञानिकों ने बहुत सारे प्रयोग किए, ब्रह्मांड की गहराई में देखा और फिर इसकी तुलना मानव शरीर के अंदरूनी हिस्सों से की। उनके आश्चर्य करने के लिए, दोनों एक ही हैं। हम कहते हैं कि ईश्वर ब्रह्मांड में कहीं रहता है, तो इससे सिद्ध होता है कि वही ईश्वर हमारे भीतर है। ईश्वर ने हमें यह जीवन दिया है तो यह मन और शरीर भी उसी का है।
मान लें कि आपका शरीर मर गया; आगे क्या होगा आपके भीतर का ब्रह्मांड (पिंड) वास्तविक दुनिया में विलीन हो जाएगा। जब आप मरते हैं तो आप वही बन जाते हैं जो आप याद करते हैं, इसलिए यदि आप हर पल भगवान को याद करते हैं, तो आप उनके साथ एक हो सकते हैं, क्योंकि आप नहीं जानते कि आप कब मरेंगे।
सनातन धर्म में अपने मृत व्यक्ति का पिंडदान करने की अच्छी परंपरा है। परिवार के सदस्य सोचते हैं कि उन्हें गया जाना चाहिए और पिंडदान करना चाहिए, और उसके बाद ही मृत व्यक्ति भगवान के साथ एक हो सकता है। इस ब्रह्मांड में जो लोग पीछे छूट गए हैं, वे मृतक के प्रति लगाव के कारण दुखी हैं।
इसलिए जब लोग गया जाकर पिंडदान करते हैं तो उन्हें ज्यादा आराम महसूस होता है। रामायण में भी राम जी और सीता मां दशरथ जी का पिंडदान करने गया गए थे। जब आप पिंडदान करते हैं तो आप कर्मकांड के साथ दान-पुण्य भी करते हैं। आपने प्राचीन काल में ब्राह्मणों को भोजन, वस्त्र आदि की व्यवस्था की थी और वे उसी दान पर निर्वाह करते थे। हालाँकि, हाल के दिनों में, जब आपने खुद ही अपना मन भगवान को नहीं दिया है, तो आप दूसरों को कैसे देंगे?
तो, हमें क्या करना चाहिए? पहले हमें खुद को भगवान को समर्पित करना चाहिए, फिर पिंडदान करना चाहिए और गया जाने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है क्योंकि ब्रह्मांड में जो कुछ भी है वह आपके भीतर है।
अपना मन और शरीर ईश्वर को अर्पण कर दो और जरूरतमंदों को दान दो। तब आप संतुष्ट होंगे।
तो, “सब जानते हैं कि एक बूंद सागर में विलीन हो जाती है, लेकिन बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं कि बूंद में पूरा सागर समाया हुआ है।”
ईश्वर तुम्हारे भीतर है, और तुम ईश्वर हो। बीच में बस आपके विचारों का एक आवरण है। जैसा सोचोगे वैसा ही बनोगे, इसलिए अपने आप से कहो, “हे भगवान, तुमने मुझे बनाया है, तुम मुझे असीम प्यार करते हो, तुम मेरे हो, और मैं तुम्हारा हूँ; मैंने जो भी गलती की है, कृपया मुझे क्षमा करें और मुझे फिर से स्वीकार करें।”
इससे सिर्फ आपका पिंडदान होता है और किसी और को आपका पिंडदान करने नहीं जाना पड़ता है।
