One day, when a poor man was seeking for food, he found a bag of gold coins. As he could not locate the owner of the bag, he decided to keep the bag with himself. On his way back home, he saw a beggar, he did feel a little pity for him but he did not help him.

As the man went on his way, he saw a diamond shining on the ground. He bent to take the diamond, as the poor man took the diamond a thief came along and took the bag of the gold coins away. The diamond that the poor man took was just a piece of glass that the thief has dropped to lure the man. The man was disheartened and went back to look for food.

Then Lord Krishna passed by and offered the man a metal coin. The man wondered what a single metal coin would fetch him. On his way back home, he saw a fisherman with some fish .The man felt pity for the fish and bought them with the metal coin. He placed the fish in a pot of water.

Next morning , the poor man went back to the shore with the pot of fish. Inside the pot, he saw two diamonds which accidentally swallowed when it was in the sea but dropped it when it was in the pot of water. The poor man felt really happy and thanked Lord Krishna in his mind.

Moral of the story

The actions you do come back to you. He did not help the beggar so his gold coins were stolen but when he helped the fish he was blessed with two diamonds.
