When Eknath Ji was married, his wife died within a few days after the ceremony. Eknath Ji could not stick to the filth and continued calling Vitthala.

One day, he decided to fetch some water from the Gangotri glacier in the Himalayas and offer it to the Shivalinga in Rameshwaram. He collected a drape to cover his body and left for the journey from Maharashtra. He collected the water and walked towards Rameshwaram.

 As he was about to reach Rameshwaram, Eknath Ji saw a donkey suffering from severe thirst. Only water could save his life. The clock ticked persistently; death appeared quite near. Eknath Ji thought to serve the donkey as Narayana existed in all creations of the cosmos. As he served water to the thirsty donkey, Shiva appeared. Eknath Ji found Shiva in the creation of Shiva.

 It is said, “Nar mein Narayana hain.”

A lady said, “How we respond to situations created by interactions in our lives is important. We should be compassionate and loving in every interaction.” Teacher said, “If you hurt anyone during these interactions, then you are not compassionate in that moment.”

Someone said, “We usually visualise God in a decorative way, and we think he will show himself in that form. From the story, I have understood that God can come in any form.” Teacher said, “God is already there in various forms. All are Shiv himself. God never goes or comes; he is present always.” He said, “I meant that we think God will show himself in a particular form, but that is not possible. God will come in any form. If we see it from a materialistic point of view, the Jal collected from all Jyotirlinga should be offered to God only, but the saint saw God in that donkey and offered him that water. If we see God in everyone, then we will not do anything wrong.” Teacher said, “People go to the temple with fruits to offer God, and if Gau Maa comes on their way, they will hurt her. I don’t think offering those fruits will do anything for them. The Gau maa who came to make you one with God, you hurt her. Everyone has done these kinds of things in their life; hopefully now you will not do such things.”

A lady said, “Today meditation happened very nicely. From the story I have understood, God only wants our love, but the love is not complete yet. If I were in the place of that saint, I would not have given the water to the donkey.” Teacher said, “The love will grow slowly. God is waiting with an open hand for you, but you are delaying meeting him. The delay happens because we are stuck between me and yours. Do not get stuck in this; surrender yourself and do what Guru Ji wants you to do.”

Teacher explained the meaning of compassion:

Let us come back to love. When love for your own self is complete, it is compassion. First, it should be for your soul, and once it is for the soul, the soul is one. You are that love, and everything is love. Whatever we are seeing is all illusion. The energy, which is actually love, once you feel that energy within, everything is done and dusted. Then you are complete; you are that.

A boy said, “I have understood that we should have faith within us. God can come in any form in front of us. Still, that faith is not complete, but it is coming slowly. When we take a pause, we can feel the maximum level of that love. If we can always be in a pause state, then we can easily become one with God.”

Someone said, “There is a bhajan saying, “Pati nahi kis rup me Narayan mil jaye…”. We don’t know in which form God will come; we should always be ready.” Teacher said, “You will find God within you. So, prepare your body because you will find God only within you. We always try to find God outside. Why can’t God come to you? Be ready to find God within you.”

निष्पक्ष अभ्यास

जब एकनाथ जी का विवाह हुआ, तो समारोह के कुछ दिनों के भीतर उनकी पत्नी की मृत्यु हो गई। एकनाथ जी गंदगी से चिपके नहीं रह सके और विठ्ठला को पुकारते रहे।

 एक दिन, उन्होंने हिमालय में गंगोत्री ग्लेशियर से कुछ पानी लाने और रामेश्वरम में शिवलिंग पर चढ़ाने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने अपने शरीर को ढंकने के लिए एक ड्रेप एकत्र किया और महाराष्ट्र से यात्रा के लिए रवाना हो गए। उन्होंने पानी इकट्ठा किया और रामेश्वरम की ओर चल दिए।

 जैसे ही वे रामेश्वरम पहुँचने वाले थे, एकनाथ जी ने एक गधे को भयंकर प्यास से तड़पते हुए देखा। केवल पानी ही उसकी जान बचा सकता है। घड़ी लगातार गुदगुदी करती रही; मृत्यु काफी निकट दिखाई दी। एकनाथ जी ने गधे की सेवा करने के बारे में सोचा क्योंकि नारायण ब्रह्मांड की सभी रचनाओं में मौजूद थे। जैसे ही उसने प्यासे गधे को पानी पिलाया, शिव प्रकट हुए। शिव की रचना में एकनाथ जी ने शिव को पाया।

 कहा जाता है, “नर में नारायण है।

प्रतिक्रियाएं-

एक महिला ने कहा, “हम अपने जीवन में बातचीत से बनाई गई स्थितियों का जवाब कैसे देते हैं, यह महत्वपूर्ण है। हमें हर बातचीत में दयालु और प्यार करने वाला होना चाहिए। शिक्षक ने कहा, “यदि आप इन बातचीत के दौरान किसी को चोट पहुंचाते हैं, तो आप उस क्षण में दयालु नहीं हैं।

किसी ने कहा, “हम आमतौर पर भगवान को सजावटी तरीके से देखते हैं, और हमें लगता है कि वह खुद को उस रूप में दिखाएगा। कहानी से मैं समझ गया हूं कि भगवान किसी भी रूप में आ सकते हैं। शिक्षक ने कहा, “ईश्वर पहले से ही विभिन्न रूपों में है। सब स्वयं शिव हैं। भगवान कभी नहीं जाता है या आता नहीं है; वह हमेशा मौजूद रहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा, ‘मेरा मतलब था कि हमें लगता है कि भगवान खुद को एक खास रूप में दिखाएंगे, लेकिन यह संभव नहीं है। भगवान किसी भी रूप में आएंगे। भौतिकवादी दृष्टि से देखें तो सभी ज्योतिर्लिंगों से एकत्रित जल को भगवान को ही अर्पित करना चाहिए, लेकिन संत ने उस गधे में भगवान को देखा और उसे वह जल अर्पित कर दिया। अगर हम हर किसी में भगवान को देखेंगे तो हम कुछ भी गलत नहीं करेंगे। शिक्षक ने कहा, “लोग भगवान को चढ़ाने के लिए फल लेकर मंदिर जाते हैं, और अगर गौ मां उनके रास्ते में आती हैं, तो वे उन्हें चोट पहुंचाएंगे। मुझे नहीं लगता कि उन फलों को अर्पित करने से उनके लिए कुछ होगा। जो गौ मां आपको भगवान के साथ एक करने आई थीं, आपने उन्हें चोट पहुंचाई। हर किसी ने अपने जीवन में इस तरह के काम किए हैं; उम्मीद है कि अब आप ऐसी चीजें नहीं करेंगे।

एक महिला ने कहा, “आज ध्यान बहुत अच्छी तरह से हुआ। मैंने जो कहानी समझी है, उससे भगवान केवल हमारा प्यार चाहते हैं, लेकिन प्यार अभी तक पूरा नहीं हुआ है। अगर मैं उस संत के स्थान पर होता, तो मैं गधे को पानी नहीं देता। शिक्षक ने कहा, “प्यार धीरे-धीरे बढ़ेगा। भगवान आपके लिए खुले हाथ से इंतजार कर रहे हैं, लेकिन आप उनसे मिलने में देरी कर रहे हैं। देरी इसलिए होती है क्योंकि हम मेरे और आपके बीच फंस गए हैं। इसमें न फंसें; अपने आप को समर्पित करें और वही करें जो गुरु जी आपसे चाहते हैं।

शिक्षक ने करुणा का अर्थ समझाया:

चलो हम प्यार पर वापस आते हैं। जब अपने स्वयं के लिए प्यार पूरा हो जाता है, तो यह करुणा है। सबसे पहले, यह आपकी आत्मा के लिए होना चाहिए, और एक बार जब यह आत्मा के लिए होता है, तो आत्मा एक होती है। आप वह प्यार हैं, और सब कुछ प्यार है। हम जो कुछ भी देख रहे हैं वह सब भ्रम है। ऊर्जा, जो वास्तव में प्यार है, एक बार जब आप उस ऊर्जा को भीतर महसूस करते हैं, तो सब कुछ किया जाता है और धूल खा ली जाती है। तब तुम पूर्ण हो; आप वही हैं।

एक लड़के ने कहा, “मैं समझ गया हूं कि हमें अपने भीतर विश्वास रखना चाहिए। भगवान किसी भी रूप में हमारे सामने आ सकते हैं। फिर भी, वह विश्वास पूरा नहीं हुआ है, लेकिन यह धीरे-धीरे आ रहा है। जब हम एक विराम लेते हैं, तो हम उस प्यार के अधिकतम स्तर को महसूस कर सकते हैं। यदि हम हमेशा विराम अवस्था में रह सकते हैं, तो हम आसानी से भगवान के साथ एक हो सकते हैं।

किसी ने कहा, “एक भजन है, “पति नहीं किस रूप में नारायण मिल जाए…”। हम नहीं जानते कि ईश्वर किस रूप में आएगा; हमें हमेशा तैयार रहना चाहिए। शिक्षक ने कहा, “तुम अपने भीतर परमेश्वर को पाओगे। इसलिए, अपने शरीर को तैयार करें क्योंकि आप केवल अपने भीतर भगवान को पाएंगे। हम हमेशा भगवान को बाहर खोजने की कोशिश करते हैं। भगवान आपके पास क्यों नहीं आ सकते? अपने भीतर भगवान को खोजने के लिए तैयार रहो।
