The first sign you can feel if you are actually moving towards spirituality is humility. If you have strength within you, but humility is not present, then you do not know your soul. If you can see that you are humble, you are moving towards spirituality.

What you should do is think that you are sitting in Guruji’s lap, and he will not let you sink.” He replied, “I think this is the next step for me to learn how to be detached from this worldly thing by living with them and fulfilling my duties.” Alif said, “There should not be any show-off, and if you show off, then your ego comes. When you go to any event, you have to dress accordingly because you live in this world. Do whatever is required to be done, but do not get attached to those things.” He said, “The feeling of living in solitary is increasing, and it might not be good.” Alif said, “Solitary means feeling the presence of God within and actively working in the world. Living alone in the cave does not mean being solitary. At that time, your thoughts will trouble you the most. You cannot sit and meditate, whereas you must remember all the time that you are not the doer, God is.”
A boy said, “Whenever I take a pause in between my work, I feel blessed, and it makes me humble. I am practicing it daily.” Alif said, “When you start on a spiritual path, you learn to be humble. If you do not bend, you will break. Nobody respects someone who cannot be humble. You must become humble.”
Someone said, “I think we can become humble when our acceptability increases. As the number of questions like “why and how” decreases, we will become more acceptable.” Alif said, “It is the same thing. It is up to you how you perceive.”
A lady said, “If we start seeing God in everyone, then the ego will not come, and we will become humble.”
A lady said, “Humility leads to spirituality. It compresses everything. Whatever work you do, do not feel proud that you are doing it. Be humble and fulfill all your duties. Keep your mind focused on God and be filled with love for everyone.” Alif said, “In the end, it comes down to love alone.”
A small boy said, “I have learned from today’s thought that we have to become humble.” Teacher asked, “What is the meaning of humble?” The boy replied, “It is one of the ways to become one with God.” Alif said, “No. Humble means to be able to bend down. When the storms come, the trees that do not bend will break, while the grass that bends will stand up again when the storms go away. It means that the one who knows how to bend will survive. Humbleness means not to show attitude.”
A boy said, “I have understood that we should not speak where it is not required, and whenever we have to speak, we should be polite.” Alif said, “Yes, politeness is another word for humbleness.” The boy said, “We should not have haughtiness about whatever we have or would achieve in life.”
A girl said, “Today I understood the actual meaning of humbleness. It does not just mean talking to people politely but internal feelings getting hurt. Humbleness is indirectly a reflection of surrender. We must just surrender, and other things will fall into place.” Alif said, “The name might be different, but the gist is the same. Practice whatever you have understood.”
A lady said, “I think when we become satisfied from within, then we become humble on our own.” Alif said, “Yes.”
Someone said, “When we learn to start listening to everyone and digest whatever they say, then we can become humble.” Alif said, “Very good. Not only listening, but we should also learn to digest and not ignore what others are saying.”
