Once, in a small village, there lived two friends Ramu and Somu. One day they had work on the other side of the river. They started their journey early in the morning by walk. On their way they stopped to take rest and have something to eat.

As they settled to eat, and old man came and said “I didn’t have anything to eat for last one week. So, may you please share your food?” Ramu and Somu were happy to share their food. So, they combined their food and shared equally between the three. After they finished eating, the old man gave them eight coins.

As they saw the coins they were very happy and started counting them. The two friends started and argument like Ramu wanted 3 coins for his 3 rotis and Somu wanted 5 for his 5 rotis. The argument was not ending until they went to a wise man.

The wise man heard them carefully and went in deep thought. He finally fell asleep and had a dream where God himself gave him the answer to share. God said, “One coin to Ramu and seven to Somu. As the two friends cut each roti to three equal pieces, total pieces were twenty four and and each had 8 pieces of roti. Ramu gave one piece of roti from his share but Somu gave seven pieces of rotis to the old man.
