In our childhood, when we used to play outside in the sun after coming back home, we usually could not see anything. When we come inside from bright sunlight, our eyes need time to adjust to the current situation. Our mothers used to say to wait for some time, then everything would be clear. After waiting for some time, we can see things clearly inside our homes. Similarly, you can’t see the soul within when you are engaged in the materialistic world. When you stop and wait, and when you see within, you can see the soul. So, stopping for some time is necessary. Today’s story is related to this learning.
Once all the animals went to God and ask him why do you give more importance to human beings. Why human birth is so special and they why are said to as the jewel of creation? God said, let’s call a human being and ask him. So, one human was called in front of God. All the animals and birds were standing in front of that human. God asked that human to explain why are human beings important. The human answered that we are very powerful, hearing this the lion roared and the human got scared by the roar. Now the human tried to give another answer, he said we are very beautiful. God asked, can you explain how you are beautiful? A human answered, “Our eyes are beautiful and we walk beautifully.” God said, “You describe the beauty of your eyes and the way you walk by giving reference to a deer. “
The human then tried to give another answer he said, “We are intelligent.” Hearing this a horse stood up and said you have made us to carry one human being at a time on our back. These humans created a horse carriage that makes us pull so many people at one time and exploits us. The human said, “We wear beautiful clothes which animal doesn’t wear.” Hearing this one sheep stood up and said, “You take wool from our body and you make your clothes.” The argument kept on going whatever the human said animals proved that they are better than humans in those things. The human said we make beautiful homes. The bird stood up and my nest is more beautiful than your home.
After some time, the human gave up and said we are the most idiot ones. Hearing this a donkey stood up and said, not more than me. At last, the human joined his hand and said I do not know why humans are important. He said to God, you have created us and you can only explain why humans are so important. Then God said, at the very beginning if you would have asked me to explain I would have explained. We do the same thing to prove ourselves right. In place of that surrender yourself to God and left everything to him.
Now all the animals started asking God that you have created humans and you are saying humans as the jewel of creation then please explain why? God said, I am within you and this entire body of a human is durg. You have nine openings in your body and using this if you visualize me, feel me, you can become one with me. None other than a human being can become one with me in their physical form. Only human beings can use their mind and body to become one with the soul. All other physical forms of birth cannot become one with God other than a human being. That is the reason human birth is called a jewel of creation.
Everything a human thinks he can do better is done in far better ways by all the animals. If we start comparing our work with animals it will make us feel ashamed. The only thing human has is that in human birth we can become one with God. If we do not have humanity then we are worse that an animal. Why humans are called jewels of creation because we have this body through which we can focus our minds on our soul and become one with him.
Remember that God has created you so you can become one with him. How can this be done? In starting it’s explained that whenever you come back inside from the brightness outside you cannot see anything. Slowing once you stop and wait you can start seeing inside. Similarly, from your eyes currently, you are watching outside if you wish to see inside stop for some time. Once you start seeing the divine light within you, it will make you realise that you have so much light within you, and you are roaming outside to find that light.
मनुष्य को सृष्टि का रत्न क्यों कहा जाता है?
बचपन में जब हम घर वापस आकर बाहर धूप में खेलते थे तो आमतौर पर हमें कुछ दिखाई नहीं देता था। जब हम तेज धूप से अंदर आते हैं, तो हमारी आंखों को मौजूदा स्थिति से तालमेल बिठाने के लिए समय चाहिए होता है। हमारी मांएं कहती थीं कि थोड़ा इंतजार करो, फिर सब साफ हो जाएगा। कुछ देर प्रतीक्षा करने के बाद हम अपने घरों के अंदर चीजों को साफ-साफ देख सकते हैं। इसी तरह, जब आप भौतिकवादी दुनिया में लगे होते हैं, तो आप आत्मा को अपने भीतर नहीं देख सकते। जब आप रुकते हैं और प्रतीक्षा करते हैं, और जब आप भीतर देखते हैं, तो आप आत्मा को देख सकते हैं। इसलिए कुछ देर रुकना जरूरी है। आज की कहानी इसी सीख से जुड़ी है।
एक बार सभी जानवर भगवान के पास गए और उनसे पूछा कि आप इंसान को ज्यादा महत्व क्यों देते हैं। मानव जन्म इतना खास क्यों है और उन्हें क्यों सृष्टि का रत्न कहा जाता है? भगवान ने कहा चलो किसी मनुष्य को बुलाकर उससे पूछो। तो भगवान के सामने एक मनुष्य को बुलाया गया। उस मनुष्य के सामने सभी पशु-पक्षी खड़े थे। भगवान ने उस मानव से पूछा कि वह यह बताए कि मनुष्य क्यों महत्वपूर्ण है। मानव ने उत्तर दिया कि हम बहुत शक्तिशाली हैं, यह सुनकर शेर दहाड़ा और मानव गर्जना से डर गया। अब मानव ने दूसरा उत्तर देना चाहा तो उसने कहा हम बहुत सुंदर हैं। भगवान ने पूछा, क्या तुम बता सकते हो कि तुम कैसे सुंदर हो? एक इंसान ने जवाब दिया, कि हमारी आंखें खूबसूरत हैं और हम खूबसूरती से चलते हैं। भगवान ने कहा, तुम अपने नेत्रों की शोभा और अपने चलने के ढंग का वर्णन एक हिरन का सन्दर्भ देकर करते हो।
मानव ने फिर दूसरा उत्तर देना चाहा तो उसने कहा कि हम बुद्धिमान हैं। यह सुनकर एक घोड़ा खड़ा हो गया और उसने भगवान से कहा कि आपने हमें अपनी पीठ पर एक बार में एक इंसान को ले जाने के लिए बनाया है। इन मनुष्यों ने एक घोड़ागाड़ी बनाई जो हमें एक साथ इतने लोगों को खींच कर ले जाती है और हमारा शोषण करती है। इंसान ने कहा हम खूबसूरत कपड़े पहनते हैं जो जानवर नहीं पहनते। यह सुनकर एक भेड़ उठ खड़ी हुई और बोली, तुम हमारे शरीर से ऊन लेकर अपने कपड़े बनाते हो। इंसान ने जो कुछ भी कहा जानवरों ने ये साबित कर दिया कि वो उन बातों में इंसान से बेहतर है ये बहस चलती रही। मानव ने कहा कि हम सुंदर घर बनाते हैं। चिड़िया उठ खड़ी हुई और मेरा घोंसला तुम्हारे घर से ज्यादा खूबसूरत है।
कुछ देर बाद इंसान ने हार मान ली और कहा हम सबसे ज्यादा बेवकूफ हैं। यह सुनकर एक गधा खड़ा हुआ और बोला, मुझसे ज्यादा नहीं। आखिर में मानव ने हाथ जोड़कर कहा कि मैं नहीं जानता कि मनुष्य क्यों महत्वपूर्ण हैं। उसने भगवान से कहा, आपने हमें बनाया है और आप ही हमें समझाते हैं कि इंसान इतना महत्वपूर्ण क्यों है। तब भगवान ने कहा, शुरू में ही अगर तुमने मुझे समझाने के लिए कहा होता तो मैं समझा देता। हम खुद को सही साबित करने के लिए ऐसा ही करते हैं। उसके स्थान पर स्वयं को ईश्वर के हवाले कर दो और सब कुछ उन्हीं पर छोड़ दो।
अब सारे जानवर भगवान से पूछने लगे कि आपने मनुष्य को बनाया है और आप मानव को सृष्टि का रत्न कह रहे हैं तो कृपया समझाएं क्यों? भगवान ने कहा, मैं तुम्हारे भीतर हूं और मनुष्य का यह पूरा शरीर दुर्ग है। आपके शरीर में नौ द्वार हैं और इसका उपयोग करके यदि आप मेरी कल्पना करते हैं, मुझे महसूस करते हैं, तो आप मेरे साथ एक हो सकते हैं। मनुष्य के अलावा कोई भी भौतिक रूप में मेरे साथ एक नहीं हो सकता। आत्मा के साथ एक होने के लिए केवल मनुष्य ही अपने मन और शरीर का उपयोग कर सकते हैं। जन्म के अन्य सभी भौतिक रूप एक इंसान के अलावा भगवान के साथ एक नहीं हो सकते। इसीलिए मानव जन्म को सृष्टि का रत्न कहा जाता है।
एक इंसान जो कुछ भी सोचता है कि वह बेहतर कर सकता है वह सभी जानवरों द्वारा बेहतर तरीके से किया जाता है। अगर हम अपने काम की तुलना जानवरों से करने लगें तो हमें शर्म आएगी। मनुष्य के पास केवल एक ही चीज है कि मानव जन्म में हम ईश्वर के साथ एक हो सकते हैं। अगर हममें इंसानियत नहीं है तो हम जानवर से भी बदतर हैं। मनुष्य को सृष्टि का रत्न क्यों कहा जाता है क्योंकि हमारे पास यह शरीर है जिसके द्वारा हम अपने मन को अपनी आत्मा पर केंद्रित कर सकते हैं और उसके साथ एक हो सकते हैं।
याद रखें कि भगवान ने आपको बनाया है ताकि आप उसके साथ एक हो सकें। यह कैसे किया जा सकता है? शुरुआत में बताया कि जब भी आप बाहर की रौशनी से वापस अंदर आते हैं तो आपको कुछ भी दिखाई नहीं देता है। एक बार जब आप रुक जाते हैं और प्रतीक्षा करते हैं तो आप अंदर देखना शुरू कर सकते हैं। इसी तरह अभी अपनी आंखों से बाहर देख रहे हैं, अगर अंदर देखना चाहते हैं तो कुछ देर रुक कर देखें। एक बार जब आप अपने भीतर दिव्य प्रकाश को देखना शुरू कर देंगे, तो यह आपको एहसास दिलाएगा कि आपके भीतर इतना प्रकाश है, और आप उस प्रकाश को खोजने के लिए बाहर घूम रहे हैं।
