Sati

In Sanatan Dharma, the emergence of the form from the formless is the Shiva. According to Abrahaminic religions, Adam and Eve are the first humans to come on the planet. Manu and Satroopa are the first ‘humans’ on the planet. But, the eternal form is Shiva. Shiva is the same element in both the forms, the Shiva and the Shakti. It is believed that Brahma and Vishnu emerged from Shiva. Shakti is in the form of Sati in Satyug (the first era, division of time). The soul is beyond time and space. In Satyug, Brahma created Daksh, Narad, and others. Brahma deputed Daksh as the head of all creations. He had a daughter named Sati. 

The formless unborn entity took the form by accumulating the five elements and emerged as Shiva. He was not born through a mother. Sati took birth through a mother. Sati grew up and married Shiva. Only the manifested form could bear the energy of another manifested form. Some ask, “Why did they marry if they were the same element?” I say that this body is Shav (dead body). When the mind merges with the Shakti (soul), it is the Shiva-Shakti Milan (marriage of Shiva and Shakti). Shiva became the son-in-law of Daksh. The unborn Shiva fixes his mind on the Self. Brahma and Vishnu see him as the divine element (tattva). Shiva Ji is the Guru of Brahma and Vishnu, and even Sati in this context. You are the Bhagwan (God). The Guru is the one who makes you realize that you are Bhagwan. Shiva is said to be the Adi, the Anadi, the first one. Imagine that he emerged from ‘AUM.’ 

Daksh was the king of the creations. He became egoistic. Several demigods were present in an assembly in Daksh’s court. The people in the court had to stand to greet Daksh, but Shiva didn’t get up. Daksh felt that Shiva disrespected him. Daksh organized a yajna (a celebration) and invited everyone except Shiva and Sati. The news spread and reached Shiva Ji. Shiva Ji smiled and thought, “Invite me or not; I’m there. Which is the place where I do not exist?” Sati felt bad that her father didn’t invite her. She went to Shiva Ji and asked, “Can I go to my mother’s place?” Shiva Ji said, “Don’t go this time. Go after a few days.” Sati insisted, “It’s my mother’s place. I can go anytime.” Shiva Ji said, “Well! Go then.” That was just a Leela, a divine play. 

She went and saw the yajna. Her father and her sisters didn’t like her presence and began taunting her, “She is shameless. She came here without receiving the invitation.” Sati’s mother felt hurt as they humiliated her daughter. She said, “Sati has come to her mother’s house. It’s okay.” Sati was beyond the element of feeling bad or good and had no ego, but she pretended to feel bad, “You have disrespected my husband. You should have forgiven him and started a new day, but you took revenge. Now, I’m giving my physical body to the yajnaagni (fire of the altar).” She sacrificed her physical body in the fire. 

Sat means the truth, the fact, the Allah, and ‘-i’ means you can manifest as a divine element. The name Sati also means to take the form again. She leaped into the fire and her body turned into total ash. When we cremate any human body, we receive some ash and some spare bones, which we immerse in the Ganga. But, her body turned into total ash, and soon, a physical form re-emerged from the form. But, the form was not alive. The soul merged with Shiva Ji. Why did this happen? The incident happened to teach us to not take revenge when our ego is hurt. When the ego is hurt, forgive the person and don’t take revenge. If you will take revenge, you will suffer gravely. Daksh felt bad, and he asked for forgiveness from Shiva Ji. Shiva forgave him. 

Shiva Ji is unattached from everything, but to teach us the consequences of attachment, he pretended that he was attached to Sati Maa. He took her body on his shoulders and walked across the planet incessantly. He is the element (tattva) and hence can do it. When we lose our beloved one, we cremate or bury him immediately as the body starts smelling. But, Sati’s body was not of such a kind. She was a brand-new Sati, and her source of energy was Shiva. 

After a long time, Vishnu Ji, who receives Shiva Ji as his Guru said, “Now, the time has come. You should leave Sati’s body and manifest as Shiva again, and Sati should manifest in another form.” Shiva was lost in the state of samadhi and didn’t reply. Vishnu Ji (see as Krishna) released the Sudarshan from his finger, and the chakra cut Sati’s body into fifty-two pieces. Wherever the pieces of the body fell, the points gained spiritual charging and became the energy points, the Shakti Peeth, of the planet. The Ajna center fell in Hinglaj, a place in Pakistan. Thus, it is said, “Hinlaj Mein Tumhi Bhawani.” The Shakti Peeth are scattered across India, from Vaishno Devi to Kanyakumari. Wherever there is Shiva’s Jyotirlinga, there is Shakti Peeth. 

Moral: We should never take revenge. If the go is hurt, forgive the person and forget. Give, give, give, forgive and forget. Forgiveness is the greatest charity. 

• Someone said, “People have begun the preparation for Eid. They have started thinking about the clothes they shall purchase. But I’m unable to think of anything. I sometimes think if I have turned insane or something unusual.” The teacher said, “No problem. You and I are a bit insane. Remember me when you feel such things.”
• Someone asked, “Wasn’t Daksh the part of the Leela to let God teach us.” The teacher said, “Well! No, and Yes! He didn’t realize himself and hence suffered. Sati, Shiva, and Sati’s mother realized the Self and hence, remained unattached. We are also the part of his Leela, but we haven’t realized him, and hence we suffer.”
• The session began with a discussion of the relevance of the festivals and events of today. “Today is Mahavir Jayanti, Vaisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti in India. Mahavir Swami is one of the Tirthankaras in Jainism. He realized the Self, and his most famous saying, ‘Ahimsa Paramodharma,’ means non-violence is the biggest virtue. The biggest violence is to regret the past and remain guilty. Thinking about the past and the future, which is dead, is violence. Killing an animal is a secondary thing. If you torture yourself by regretting, you will surely harm others. Wearing the mask to prevent harming the tiny microbes is not Ahimsa. Mahavir Swami didn’t wear any such mask. His followers did. After Jesus was crucified, Christianity emerged. Islam existed even before Mohammed, as Islam means submission to the divine will. Similarly, Jainism grew. Superficial crocodile tears are not for God. That is idiocy. The tears for God emerge within, and oceans fill the heart with tears. Then, you see God. Even there is Vaisakhi, the festival of harvest. It is celebrated in Punjab with greater glory. Crops become mature and yield a harvest, to satiate the hunger of the people. People celebrate this glory of nature. Today is Ambedkar Jayanti. Bhimrao Ambedkar designed the Parliamentary constitution of India. We celebrate his birthday as he served the nation and designed the Constitution. But, he was not a saint. Mahavir Jayanti is worth being celebrated. I say not to celebrate birthdays. When he was in form, he didn’t celebrate his birthday. We celebrate his birthday so that we can merge with him. Tomorrow is Good Friday. Why is it called Good Friday, though Jesus was crucified on this day? Are we his enemies? There is a spiritual reason behind it. Jesus proved that he is neither the body nor the mind but the soul. On that day, he merged with the divinity. This is how Nanak, Kabir Das Ji and Saibaba left the body. On Easter Sunday, he resurrected. Even, his body became the soul and merged with the divinity. No one found the body of Nanak, Kabir Das Ji and Saibaba. Then, why did the physical bodies of the yogis like Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, Vivekananda, and Guruji remain? Were they not jivanmukta? They were jivanmukta but, they didn’t need to use that power to make their body disappear. Wherever there were disputes on religious or political grounds, people didn’t find the bodies of the yogis. People fought for some wished to bury Kabir Das Ji’s body, and some wished to cremate him according to their rituals. So, his body disappeared.”
• Someone said, “As Mother Sati felt bad, everything took a wrong turn.” Then, the person left. Then, the teacher said, “someone said that Sati felt bad. She was beyond this element of feeling bad or good; she is the Shakti. When the parents send their daughter to the in-law’s house, they give her to the in-law, and she becomes a part of the new family. Sati remained loyal to her husband and protected his respect. She didn’t feel bad! To impose superiority, males say that she didn’t obey Shiva Ji and, hence suffered. Oh! She was the Shakti; it was just a divine play to change her father’s mind. Such narrow-minded views! I bow before such people. All children sitting here, listen carefully. Never talk about religion and politics to anyone. I don’t speak about religion. I don’t know the religion and, I don’t belong to any religion. This discussion is on spirituality, the atmic knowledge.” Then, after a long discussion on random topics, the teacher said, “You may be feeling that my ego is hurt listening to the person’s feedback. I’m saying about him for he can progress steadily on this path. Neither do I have an ego, nor do I feel bad. He is progressing steadily on the path of spirituality.”
• A lady shared her experience, sitting beside her mother-in-law, “Before joining the session, I always did the opposite of what she said. If she asked me to wear a bindi, I never did it. If she asked me to fast on a particular day, I denied it. But, now I’m learning that she is my mother, not my mother-in-law.” The teacher appreciated her, “This is the best phase. As you remove the suffix ‘in-law’ from their name in your heart, you see the change. You start feeling the love Your elder daughter lived for five years, seeing you angry and irritable. But, your three-year-old daughter is growing up, seeing the love. Even the elder one will become compassionate, but you will see the difference, how the younger one shall be more tolerant.”
• The teacher said, “I shall not highlight the life of Daksh’s sufferings, as we are suffering similarly.”
• Someone said, “My husband bought hand-ridden sugarcane juicing machine. It works with lots of effort. I cannot see the pain of the person who runs it. But, he runs it every morning and serves juice to us. I fought with him for a few days, for spending the money unnecessarily. I have learned limited needful expenditure from your session. I save the money I receive from him, and collect it for a good cause.” The teacher explained, “Yes! It is very good. When you lessen your needs and do charity, it does wonders.”

सनातन धर्म में निराकार से रूप का उदय ही शिव है। अब्राहमिक धर्मों के अनुसार, आदम और हव्वा इस ग्रह पर आने वाले पहले इंसान हैं। मनु और सतरूपा ग्रह पर पहले ‘मनुष्य’ हैं। लेकिन, शाश्वत रूप शिव हैं। शिव दोनों रूपों, शिव और शक्ति में एक ही तत्व हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि शिव से ब्रह्मा और विष्णु की उत्पत्ति हुई थी। सतयुग (प्रथम युग, काल विभाजन में) में शक्ति सती के रूप में हैं। आत्मा समय और स्थान से परे है। सतयुग में ब्रह्मा ने दक्ष, नारद और अन्य की रचना की। ब्रह्मा ने दक्ष को सभी सृष्टि के प्रमुख के रूप में नियुक्त किया। उनकी सती नाम की एक बेटी थी।

निराकार अजन्मी सत्ता ने पांच तत्वों को संचित करके रूप धारण किया और शिव के रूप में उभरा। वे एक माँ के माध्यम से पैदा नहीं हुए थे। माता के द्वारा सती का जन्म हुआ। सती बड़ी हुई और शिव से विवाह हुआ। केवल प्रकाशित रूप ही दूसरे प्रकाशित रूप की ऊर्जा को सहन कर सकता है। कुछ लोग पूछते हैं, “अगर वे एक ही तत्व थे तो उन्होंने विवाह क्यों किया?” मैं कहती हूं कि यह शरीर शव है। जब मन शक्ति (आत्मा) से मिल जाता है, तो वह शिव-शक्ति का मिलन (शिव और शक्ति का विवाह) होता है। शिव दक्ष के दामाद बने। अजन्मे शिव अपने मन को स्वयं पर स्थिर रखते हैं। ब्रह्मा और विष्णु उन्हें दिव्य तत्व के रूप में देखते हैं। शिव जी इस संदर्भ में ब्रह्मा और विष्णु और यहां तक ​​कि सती के गुरु हैं। आप भगवान हैं। गुरु वह हैं जो आपको यह जनवा देते हैं की आप भगवान् हैं। शिव को आदि, अनादि, प्रथम कहा गया है। कल्पना कीजिए कि वह ‘ॐ’ से उभरे हैं।

दक्ष सृष्टि के राजा थे। वे अहंकारी हो गए। दक्ष के दरबार की सभा में अनेक देवता उपस्थित थे। दरबार में लोगों को दक्ष का अभिवादन करने के लिए खड़ा होना था, लेकिन शिव नहीं उठे। दक्ष को लगा कि शिव ने उनका अनादर किया है। दक्ष ने एक यज्ञ (एक उत्सव) का आयोजन किया और शिव और सती को छोड़कर सभी को आमंत्रित किया। खबर फैल गई और शिव जी तक पहुंच गई। शिव जी मुस्कुराए और सोचा, “मुझे आमंत्रित करें या नहीं, मैं वहां हूं। ऐसी कौनसी जगह है जहां मैं नहीं हु?” सती को बुरा लगा कि उनके पिता ने उन्हें आमंत्रित नहीं किया। वह शिव जी के पास गईं और पूछा, “क्या मैं अपनी माँ के यहाँ जा सकती हूँ?” शिव जी ने कहा, “इस बार मत जाओ। कुछ दिन बाद चले जाना।” सती ने कहा, “यह मेरी मां का घर है। मैं कभी भी जा सकती हूं।” शिव जी ने कहा, “अच्छा! फिर जाओ।” वह मात्र लीला थी।

उन्होंने जाकर यज्ञ देखा। उनके पिता और उनकी बहनों को उनकी उपस्थिति पसंद नहीं आयी और वे उन्हें ताना मारने लगे, “इसके पास इज़्ज़त् नहीं है। वह बिना निमंत्रण के यहाँ आई है।” सती की माँ को दुख हुआ क्योंकि उन्होंने उनकी बेटी को अपमानित किया। उन्होंने कहा, “सती अपनी मां के घर आई है। कोई बात नहीं।” सती बुरा या अच्छा महसूस करने से परे थीं और उनमें कोई अहंकार नहीं था, लेकिन उन्होंने बुरा महसूस करने का नाटक किया, “आपने मेरे पति का अपमान किया है। आपको उन्हें माफ कर देना चाहिए था और एक नया दिन शुरू करना चाहिए था, लेकिन आपने बदला लिया। अब, मैं यज्ञाग्निअपना भौतिक शरीर दे हूँ।” उन्होंने अपने भौतिक शरीर को अग्नि में बलिदान कर दिया।

सत् का अर्थ है सत्य, तथ्य, अल्लाह, और ‘-इ’ का अर्थ है वही हो जाना। सती नाम का अर्थ फिर से रूप धारण करना भी होता है। वह आग में कूद गईं और उनका शरीर पूरी तरह से राख में बदल गया। जब हम किसी मानव शरीर का अंतिम संस्कार करते हैं, तो हमें कुछ राख और कुछ अतिरिक्त हड्डियाँ प्राप्त होती हैं, जिन्हें हम गंगा में विसर्जित कर देते हैं। लेकिन, उनका शरीर कुल राख में बदल गया, और जल्द ही, रूप से एक भौतिक रूप फिर से उभरा। लेकिन, रूप जीवित नहीं था। आत्मा शिव जी में लीन हो गई। ऐसा क्यों हुआ? यह घटना हमें यह सिखाने के लिए हुई कि जब हमारे अहंकार को ठेस पहुँचती है तो बदला नहीं लेना चाहिए। जब अहंकार आहत हो तो उस व्यक्ति को क्षमा कर दो और बदला मत लो। यदि आप बदला लेंगे, तो आप गंभीर रूप से पीड़ित होंगे। दक्ष को बुरा लगा और उन्होंने शिव जी से क्षमा मांगी। शिव ने उन्हें क्षमा कर दिया।

शिव जी हर चीज से अनासक्त हैं, लेकिन हमें आसक्ति के परिणाम सिखाने के लिए उन्होंने सती मां से आसक्त होने का नाटक किया। उन्होंने माँ के शरीर को अपने कंधों पर ले लिया और लगातार पूरे ग्रह पर चलते रहे। वह तत्व हैं और इसलिए ऐसा कर सकते हैं। जब हम अपने प्रिय को खो देते हैं, तो शरीर से गंध आने से पहले हम उसका तुरंत दाह संस्कार या दफना देते हैं। लेकिन, सती का शरीर ऐसा नहीं था। वह बिल्कुल नई सती थीं, और उनकी ऊर्जा का स्रोत शिव थे।

लंबे समय के बाद, विष्णु जी, जो अपने गुरु के रूप में शिव जी को देखते हैं, ने कहा, “अब, समय आ गया है। आपको सती के शरीर को छोड़कर फिर से शिव के रूप में प्रकट होना चाहिए, और सती को दूसरे रूप में प्रकट होना चाहिए।” शिव समाधि की अवस्था में खो गए थे और उन्होंने कोई उत्तर नहीं दिया। विष्णु जी (कृष्ण के रूप में देखें) ने अपनी उंगली से सुदर्शन को छोड़ा, और चक्र ने सती के शरीर को बावन टुकड़ों में काट दिया। जहां भी शरीर के टुकड़े गिरे, उन स्थानों ने आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा प्राप्त की और ऊर्जा स्थान, ग्रह के शक्ति पीठ बन गए। आज्ञा चक्र पाकिस्तान के एक स्थान हिंगलाज में गिरा। इस प्रकार, यह कहा जाता है, “हिनलाज में तुम्ही भवानी।” शक्तिपीठ वैष्णो देवी से लेकर कन्याकुमारी तक पूरे भारत में फैले हुए हैं। जहां भी शिव का ज्योतिर्लिंग है, वहां शक्ति पीठ है।

शिक्षा: हमें कभी बदला नहीं लेना चाहिए। यदि बुरा लगा हो, तो व्यक्ति को क्षमा कर दो और भूल जाओ। देना, देना, देना, क्षमा करना और भूल जाना। क्षमा सबसे बड़ा दान।

• किसी ने कहा, “लोगों ने ईद की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। वे सोचने लगे हैं कि वे कौन से कपड़े खरीदेंगे। लेकिन मैं कुछ भी सोच नहीं पा रही हूं। मैं कभी-कभी सोचती हूं कि क्या मैं पागल हो गयी हूं या कुछ असामान्य हूं।” टीचर ने कहा, “कोई बात नहीं। तुम और मैं थोड़े पागल हैं। मुझे याद कर लिया कर जब ऐसी विचार आएं।”
• किसी ने पूछा, “क्या दक्ष लीला का हिस्सा नहीं थे ताकि कि भगवान हमें सिखाएं।” टीचर ने कहा, “ठीक है! नहीं, और हाँ! उन्होंने खुद को महसूस नहीं किया और इसलिए पीड़ित हुए। सती, शिव और सती की मां ने आत्मा को पा लिया था और इसलिए, अनासक्त रहे। हम भी उनकी लीला का हिस्सा हैं, लेकिन हमने उसे महसूस नहीं किया, और इसलिए हम पीड़ित हैं।”
• सत्र की शुरुआत आज के त्योहारों और आयोजनों की प्रासंगिकता पर चर्चा के साथ हुई। “आज भारत में महावीर जयंती, वैसाखी और अम्बेडकर जयंती है। महावीर स्वामी जैन धर्म के तीर्थंकरों में से एक हैं। उन्होंने स्वयं को जान लिया था, और उनकी सबसे प्रसिद्ध कहावत, ‘अहिंसा परमोधर्म’ का अर्थ है अहिंसा सबसे बड़ा गुण है। सबसे बड़ा हिंसा अतीत पर पछताने और दोषी बने रहने के लिए है। भूत और भविष्य के बारे में सोचना, जो मर चुका है, हिंसा है। एक जानवर को मारना एक माध्यमिक बात है। यदि आप पछताते हैं, तो आप निश्चित रूप से दूसरों को नुकसान पहुंचाएंगे। छोटे रोगाणुओं को नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाना अहिंसा नहीं है। महावीर स्वामी ने ऐसा कोई मास्क नहीं पहना था। उनके अनुयायियों ने किया था। यीशु को सूली पर चढ़ाए जाने के बाद, ईसाई धर्म का उदय हुआ। इस्लाम मोहम्मद से पहले भी मौजूद था, क्योंकि इस्लाम का अर्थ ईश्वरीय इच्छा के प्रति समर्पित रहना। इसी तरह, जैन धर्म का विकास हुआ सतही मगरमच्छ के आंसू भगवान के लिए नहीं होते हैं। वह मूर्खता है। भगवान के लिए आंसू निकलते हैं, और आँसुओं का सेहलाभ मन में ही आजाता है। फिर, आप भगवान को देखते हैं। यहाँ तक कि वैसाखी भी है, फसल का त्योहार। यह पंजाब में बहुत धूम धाम से मनाया जाता है। लोगों की भूख मिटाने के लिए फसलें पक जाती हैं । लोग प्रकृति की इस महिमा को मनाते हैं। आज अम्बेडकर जयंती है। भीमराव अम्बेडकर ने भारत के संसदीय संविधान बनाया। हम उनका जन्मदिन मनाते हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने देश की सेवा की और संविधान बनाया। लेकिन, वह संत नहीं थे। महावीर जयंती मनाने लायक है। मैं कहती हूं कि जन्मदिन मत मनाओ। जब वह फॉर्म में थे तो उन्होंने अपना जन्मदिन नहीं मनाया। हम उनका जन्मदिन मनाते हैं ताकि हम उनमें लीं हो जाएं। कल गुड फ्राइडे है। इसे गुड फ्राइडे क्यों कहा जाता है, हालांकि इस दिन यीशु को सूली पर चढ़ाया गया था? क्या हम उनके दुश्मन हैं? इसके पीछे आध्यात्मिक कारण है। यीशु ने साबित कर दिया कि वे न तो शरीर हैं और न ही मन बल्कि आत्मा हैं। उस दिन, वह तत्त्व में लीन हो गए। इस तरह नानक, कबीर दास जी और साईबाबा ने शरीर छोड़ा। ईस्टर रविवार को, वे पुनर्जीवित हुए। उनका शरीर भी आत्मा बन गया और तत्व में लीन हो गया। नानक, कबीर दास जी और साईबाबा का शरीर किसी को नहीं मिला। फिर रामकृष्ण परमहंस, विवेकानंद और गुरुजी जैसे योगियों के शरीर क्यों रह गए? क्या वे जीवनमुक्त नहीं थे? वे जीवनमुक्त थे लेकिन, उन्हें अपने शरीर को गायब करने के लिए उस सिद्धि का उपयोग करने की आवश्यकता नहीं थी। जहां कहीं भी धार्मिक या राजनीतिक आधार पर विवाद हुए, लोगों को योगियों के शरीर नहीं मिले। कुछ लोगों ने कबीर दास जी के शरीर को दफनाने की कामना के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी, और कुछ ने अपने रीति-रिवाजों के अनुसार उनका अंतिम संस्कार करने की कामना की। तो, उनका शरीर गायब हो गया।”
• किसी ने कहा, “जैसे सती को बुरा लगा, सब कुछ गलत हो गया।” फिर वह व्यक्ति चला गया। फिर, टीचर ने कहा, “किसी ने कहा कि सती को बुरा लगा। वह बुरा या अच्छा महसूस करने से परे थीं। वह शक्ति हैं। जब माता-पिता अपनी बेटी को ससुराल भेजते हैं, तो वे उसे दान कर देते हैं, और वह नए परिवार का हिस्सा बन जाती है। सती अपने पति के प्रति वफादार रहीं और उनके सम्मान की रक्षा की। उन्हें बुरा नहीं लगा। श्रेष्ठता लागू करने के लिए, पुरुषों का कहना है कि सती ने शिव जी की बात नहीं मानी और इसलिए उनने भोगा । ओह! वह शक्ति थीं, यह उनके पिता के मन को बदलने के लिए एक लीला थी। ऐसे संकीर्ण विचार! मैं ऐसे लोगों के सामने झुकती हूं। यहां बैठे सभी बच्चे ध्यान से सुनें। कभी किसी से धर्म और राजनीति के बारे में बात न करें। मैं नहीं करती। मैं धर्म के बारे में बात नहीं करता। मैं धर्म को नहीं जानता और, मैं किसी भी धर्म से संबंधित नहीं हूं। यह चर्चा आध्यात्मिकता, आत्मिक ज्ञान पर है।” फिर, अन्य विषयों पर एक लंबी चर्चा के बाद, टीचर ने कहा, “आप महसूस कर रहे होंगे कि व्यक्ति की प्रतिक्रिया सुनकर मेरे अहंकार को चोट लगी है। मैं उसके बारे में कह रही हूं क्योंकि वह इस रास्ते पर लगातार प्रगति कर सके। न ही मेरे पास अहंकार है, न ही मुझे बुरा लगता है। वह अध्यात्म के पथ पर निरंतर आगे बढ़ रहा है।”
